Remapping Hyundai/Kia vehicles with direct ECU Connection

- Hyundai and Kia vehicles are a pain in the ass to remap, because it can't be done through OBD. The ECU has to be physically taken out, opened up and wires must be inserted to the pins and probes on the circuit board itself.

Tip, you can brush a bit of pure acetone to the edges. That makes it a lot easier to open because acetone soften those material that seals it. I used to work at a PCM supplier and I used to fix them and design simulator equipments to test them. Thanks for the video great job. What I want to do is Toyota prius so I can access the hybrid battery computer so I can make it run efficiently on lithium battery instead of Nickel metal Hydride

I have a hyundai LPI ( LIQUID PROPANE GAS ) and I want to convert it to CNG ( COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS ) but the ecu prevents us from doing so . can you modify the LPI ecu?
more guys gotta be open and chill like you showing the process can you do the 2015 hyundai genesis 5.0 from what i see its the same as the coupe ecu im trying to a tune but the tunes out there for the money are not what im looking for/ dont have the options that most tunes have

I have a 2007 Optima 2.4 manual and it doesn't have cruise control. All automatic Optimas came with cruise and all manuals didn't. The dealer said I need the ECM to be reprogrammed and I tried the controls on the wheel. Would this fix it?

What about ecu cloning for hyundai accent, can it be done via obd or another method without opening the ECU, or just like remapping, the ecu needs to be opened to be cloned. I have an old ecu that has a problem with 2 coils with no spark; I got a replacement with same serial number from aliexpress, can the ecu clone be done without opening? if yes which method? if no how much will it cost me?
i have a kia rio 2014 i did and engine swap g4fa to g4fc did a scan and it show timing in advance is it because the g4fa ecu is 1.4 and the g4fc engine is 1.6
Was that a G4KE engine in that Sorento? If so would it be the same process for a 2012 2.4 Hyundai ix35?
I have a 2008 hyundai tiburon gt 2.7 m/t, has there been any ecu remapping to make a more power /torque?. It bugs me because I have a 02 Audi TT quattro and it makes so much more power so easily compared to NA car 😢

I wish I could get in touch with you guys….I drive a Kia Rio 2013….months ago my speed was locked at 20 to 30Kms…DMG(local kia dealer in Darwin) said my throttle position sensor (TPS) was faulty and I paid them to replace it…after just 5 days ago I faced the same issue…now they’re saying the problem is in the ECU(supplying little power to the TPS)….the quote they gave me to replace the ECU is way out of my budget & for repairing I found no auto electricians in Darwin work with ECU…DMG told me to contact Injectronics in Melbourne….Injectronics asking me to send the ECU with Immobilizer & key reader but didn’t give me any quote and idea whether they’re able to fix it or not….hope I will get a reply from u guyz….

This guy. Boom 0 egr will never open again haha. If it wasn’t for this guy and his knowledge this Kia fe3 wouldn’t have a turbo on it, we are tuning the ecm and going for a 300 hp daily driver.

Sir, bakit po nag low power at hindi na nag accelerate pataas ang rpm nka stock po sya sa 1000 to 2000 rpm tapos hindi na humahatak wala pong pwersa hnd na halos tumatakbo, Baka po matulungan niyo ako kung ano sira nito. Samalap po.
I wish this could be done on my 4.6l kia borrego. I believe there's so much to be had on this platform, but throttle lag, terrible shift points and major torque management make it kinda a turd.
I had horrible throttle lag on my 5L genesis. Look into throttle controllers. I got a sprint booster it's night and day now

It's in limp mode. Check the engine failure codes using an OBD scanner. It could be an oil pressure or temperature issue

Unless it has a distributor and a carburettor, it can't run without an ECU

Following. I had the misfortune of a mechanic removing my original ecu and replacing it with another make and model ecu after my engine locked and had to replace wire harnesses twice. I saw Ecu's online and want to purchase, but someone told me I can't because the original ecu was programmed for my specific car. The online ECU can't be used until it is programmed to my vehicle. Is this true?

Why would you set all of the EGR values to zero? The only purpose that I could see for you doing that would be only in an engine that has a turbo and it would be to make the air to fuel mixture more pure so to speak without reintroducing exhaust gases into the oxygen coming in from the forced induction of the turbo. But you would only get gains from that by tuning on a dyno and turning up boost while also adjusting fuel trims.
Because annoying customers keep asking for it.
