- First All Blacks squad for 2024 has been announced. Some interesting selections to say the least. A few players can count themselves very unlucky to not be selected. None the less, a strong ABs squad, as always.
Who missed out that should've been selected?

Razor going back to the days when you were expected to dominate and intimidate your opponent. It took over a Century for the AB to forge this idea. Big ball carriers. Big hitters. Loads of skills.

SR was about eentertainment first and foremost.That's where the basics started to be ignored.
Fortunately,Stern Vern knows games are won up front.And I think you can see where Robertson is going with some of the big boppers in the tight five.Interesting times.

It's a very solid squad. There is a ton of raw power in that forward pack and a lot of mongrel. This AB's forward pack is going to be something special, I can't wait until it's unleashed on England to see what they can do.
A lot of people are questioning Wallace Satiti making the squad over Hoskins Sotutu. Me personally I don't have a problem with that. Satiti is an overall better player.
Harry Plumber I don't think was ever going to get a shot at the 10 jersey. Keep in mind, he was only playing 10 for the Blues because Stephen Perofeta and Zarn Sullivan were injured, he's mainly a midfielder. On top of that, next year for the Blues more than likely Beauden Barrett will be the starting 10.
Lastly, Peter Lakai, it's only a matter of time until he makes the All Blacks. Some of those players, like Ethan Blackadder and Luke Jacobson probably won't make it to the next RWC, Peter Lakai will.
Patience for Lakai, agreed he’ll make it sooner or later. Sititi played his way in. Such a bruising ball runner! 💪
Bit short at lock but otherwise consider this lineup; Taukeahau,Sotutu,Bower,Lakai,Grace,Iose then Jordan,Roigard,Stevenson,Love.All not in the squad and all ABs material

Remember Uini Antonio for France. He’s NZ born and breed. He was unwanted cause he was too big. Boi were they wrong. He turned out to be better than 2023 all blacks starting props .

us kiwis are very very confident coming into the england match. It is a much different vibe to when foster was in charge. Sititi has some fantastic stats. When roigard and will jordan are back we should be pretty good in the backline. Need a bit more height in the forwards. A couple of huge boys over 140kg a pop. Over loaded wingers. Undercooked centres and half backs. But all in all, cant say we will dominate, the competition is strong out there, but kiwis are excited.

Would have loved to have seen Ruben Love get an opportunity. Has the game breaking exfactor of Mackenzie and Will Jordan.

Yep agree there. Sure Razor has his reasons for picking certain players over others… see how they go💪
In the forwards, they were looking at the player's defensive stats and their ability to run, step with the ball and tackle low was a prerequisite. Razor doesn't believe in red cards so these players will be mobile and able to adapt whether on defence or attack... Williams and Tosi are 6'5 145kg each but can move for big guys and step. Defence / Adaptability the Crusaders All Blacks Coaching staff are looking for. I feel they are ok since they have not played a test but most of the team from last year is still there.

George Bell and Ethan Blackadder are not here on form, not sweat blood or tears. A bloody mystery????
Definitely abit of Crusaders favour there perhaps… although Blackadder is a beast at Test level

Yep agreed. I recorded this as soon as it came out and totally forgot to mention Sotutu not being selected. Not sure what more he could’ve done.
Guys selected in his position all deserve to be there though💪
@@KickOnRugby Yes very true they all deserve to be there. It must of been a really tough decision for Razor. But at least he does have other options. Let’s see how he gels this team together. Cant wait!!

The extended team includes, Darry, Havili, Love and Bower.
I'm gutted for a lot of players but I guess this is the squad that Razor sees fit to execute his plays. Also, those that we wish could don the jersey may get a chance to cover injuries **cough cough** Blackadder 😅😅
Can’t keep everyone happy when selecting sides. Just hope they’ve communicated what the players who’ve missed out need to work on or why they missed out…

Listening to the ABs defence coach Scott Hansen on rugby pass channel you will understand why, he explains it very well THEY KNOW WHAT THE FK THEY ARE DOING LOL 😂

Thats BS, selectors from the Crusader stable haver favoured crusader players over players playing better in those positions. It is clear for all to see. The ABs is about picking the best players or should be. A good coach should be able to get the best from them. For goodness sake Bell is not even a starting Hooker and Blackadder has hardly played. Tough on those who have ground out a full season of Top performances.
