Well, my whimsical hopes of a 6-2 bombsquad split got well and truly kicked to the next universe lol. (EG - Aumua to start, Proctor midfield... and a hardcore 6 forwards to start 2nd half) But I'm not surprised. Razor's known for picking his teams, and then methodically building them into champions. He will also have counter-tactics for the English game (especially I think in terms of more kicking behind the line for territory if rush-defence is tried again). Meanwhile we will continue to use a power scrum, pick up the pace andaggression at breakdowns, and we'll try more linout variations. So, bring it on!

Great that Razor stuck with pretty much the same team. I’m expecting Dmac to keep the ball in hand to change the dynamics of the play and possibly kick into the area’s when the 12 and 13 (England) rush up on defence. The AB’s forwards have had a taste of the English forwards and I believe there’s going to be a vast improvement from the first test. Those Auckland Blues players are on their home ground so I’m expecting alot from them, Telea, Perofeta,Reiko, Finlay,Papalii, Tuipulotu and Ofa.. I’m still sticking to my 12pt win.

Good preview. England are impressive, once they fix their scrum and bench, watch out. Christie's pass is slow and will assist the English rush D. The ABs will play a Bokke style 10 man game of scrum, box Kick pressure and territory. Much to the dismay of many AB running rugby fans. England are good and it will be another arm wrestle. If ABs play the box kick/territory game we played in the 2nd half we should win by 6. Especially if we win the scrum, and get parity in the lineout. The breakdown and contact will be brutal and they will cancel each other out.

Most likely scenario : AB’s win a hard fought match. AB’s improve, England keep it close. The RAREST scenario: AB’s lose.. and take minimum a Year to recover, with alot of Razors ‘aura’ zapped. England will be as confident as ever.

Blackadder will probably be at 6, and if it was up to me Proctor would start over Ioane. Wouldn't mind to see Amua start and see an all Crusader front row come of the bench, Williams, Taylor, Newel

I think Razor will be tempted to start with Aumua for his impact (and Taylor to sub on with Newell/Tuungafasi later). Razor won't change Barrett at lock (we don't have the luxury of a spare if Vaa'i or Tuipolotu get injured). However I think Razor may give Proctor a start (longshot I know but Billy was probably in better form the Reiko during SuperRugby, and Reiko didn't play that well I thought in Dunedin). My BombSquad is Taylor, Newell, Tuungafasi, Vaa'i, Sititi, Jacobsen, and only Ratima and Beauden for the backs (Beauden can cover most backline positions if needed). It's a Six-Two split sure - but its what I think we need to combat tht English 8-pack, especially in that last 30 minutes..

There's no way Scott Barrett is ever starting at 6 again for the All Blacks. NZ is ridiculously stacked with great loose forwards but very thin at lock. Scott Barrett is by far the best lock in the country and he is settled there now. The captain isn't going to be shifted around like a utility.

Time to move Reiko out to the wing. He hasn't made a break at cenre in years.

Solid team for whats available. Mario is painfully good at attacking lineout, i would like to start Proctor with Barret with reiko as sub or just rest him and ALB because he’s a sure thing just as is Beaudy, both solid readers of the game. Amua would be a great starter just to strengthen his confidence, Cody at the 50mark would be insane.

Probably won’t be any drastic changes, I’m expecting the AB forwards to turn up the heat on the English forwards especially at set piece an area where they had dominance. Also if Clarke is ready I hope he gets a chance to use his bulk around the fringes, ALB to start with Proctor on the bench Reiko was just a little loose and never really challenged the line.

The english pulled back at the first scrum, then Marler was snotted, and faked a keg injury. Scott Barrett will play better at lock. Timing and closing the gap was a problem, both locks will be better for the game. Id like to see Blackadder get a run, papalii was anonymous last week. They Abs will have better tactics, you have to earn the chance to go wide, and they didnt earn the right

There needs to be a shot clock on the big screen when kicks are being taken, the crowd can help DMac by counting down the seconds, this will bring the crowd in to the game and there can be no confusion of the time, this will take the ref out of any controversial calls.

Someone like Tamaiti or Tosi is sorely needed in the squad for the second match. The current post-contact metres are lacking.

Cortez Ratima is already a better half back than thinly crispy and has an established combination with Dmac. The biggest issue they had was beating that rush defence and only making 2.7 post contact meters. I would not be surprised to see Aumua starting for his ability to smash through the line. The crusaders front row as the bomb squad Newell, Taylor Williams. Watch out for Caleb Clark coming back in if fit. ALB to replace Ioane.

The Bok pack failed to dominate, scrums were way off the mark, lack of composure (even panic) when under pressure (not how WORLD CHAMPS should play), attacking focus seemed to distract from defense (when last did the Boks let in 3 tries). Not impressed by the new attack..lots of passing and fake runners..but very little penetration. Hope we are better next week. Not an impressive win against a team playing away, and missing key players, at altitude
