Nicely prepared dear! I usually eat corn meal swallow but have not tried making it first with cold water. I usually mix mine corn meal with potato puree and then bring some water to a boil and add bit by bit and it always turns out perfect.Give it a try you will love it 😊

Really! Yeah I noticed most people also prepare semo by boiling the water first and then gradually add the semo,that is how I tried it that way and my fufu was full of lumps 🤣🤣,since then I swore not to allow the water to boil lol,I usually mix it with cold water and then cook it till it's well cooked.....But will try your style out and I pray it walks for me this time🤷♀️

Here in Kenya we first boil water; add the flour; stir till you smell a sweet scent and its ready to be served.
The fufu look yummy this will go down with okro soup

I actually want to use it to alternate my intake of garri /eba. And thank God I came across this video. I noticed garri is no longer healthy for me. And I want something still cheap and not stressful. I will be eating just this corn meal now, and thank you for teaching the best way to prepare it to get my desired result.

Wow this is polenta I eat this with mushrooms and some mede mede 😍. I use it to make a Nigerian snack too called kokoro. I've not tried eating it with our own soup. I will definitely try it cause I have a lot at home.

It's actually very easy. See it looking so yummy 😋
In Barbados we cut up okra boil it cooked, soak the cornmeal in cold water and add to the okra water season and soured and beaten against the saucepan like yours. We call it cou-cou. Serve with meat or fish with gravy

This is the swallow i grew up eating(yellow corn variety), we make a paste with cold water and pour it into boiling water, allow it to cook, then use some more flour until you get th desired consistency.I like your recipe and will try it.*
