we used to have an african family living in our rural island. it was a nuclear family, they were teachers and a student. of course having never seen africans before everyone in my island was curious. but most of us were scared. except for my sister, she used to visit them and take me with her. it was there i ate rice fufu with curry for the first time. it was immensely delicious. my sister learned the recipe and used to make it for us occasionally. now that she is gone i want to learn to make it so that i can remember her better.

Tuwon shinkafa.. Tuwo is generally swallow/fufu,and then whatever follows the fufu is determined by the grain used. Like tuwon shinkafa which is rice swallow/fufu , tuwon masara is corn swallow/fufu, Tuwon alkama is wheat swallow/fufu ,etc
