    I wish you guys would start being more honest with your earnings, you earned $506 of that from promotions which not every gets in other states and cities, nor does everyone get the same dollar amount. So if we are being honest here you only earned realistically 1k. Without a nice bonus it will be hard to make 1500 a week unless you do alot of driving or you are always hitting surge areas and getting tips. And we both know surge and tips don't always happen.

      Hi, Marcus. Thank you for the comment and voicing your concerns. This particular video is part 4 of a series of 8 weeks of Uber/Lyft driving. In some earlier videos I talk about boosts and quests which add up to be the "promotions" earnings. So, I guess I could repeat the details in each video but it would become pretty repetitive over time especially if you are keeping up with all my videos. Also I figure that disclosing and showing the full breakdown of my earnings with the expanded screenshot is good enough to paint the general picture.
      But overall you are right. The $506 is coming from both boosts and quests. Boosts are an extra incentive of about $2-$6 dollars per ride for certain peak hours and quests are an extra bonus of about $200-$500 per week for completing a certain amount of rides during the week. These bonuses vary by city/market and they fluctuate based on the demand in your area. As far as surge rides, those are included in the net fare and surges usually randomly happen throughout my Friday and Saturday night shifts. In my market there is a high chance of surges at around 1 AM- 4 AM Saturday/Sunday mornings and these are hours that I'm willing to work. Not every driver is willing to work these hours.
      I'm not saying that every single driver can do what I do at this same level, but I'm trying to show everyone the possibilities that are out there if you work hard at the right hours in a good market.

      @@THERIDESHAREMINUTE Hi Vito,
      The promotional earnings in the screenshots are coming from Quests. Uber & Lyft usually give me an additional $200-$400 dollars when I complete about 80-100 trips on the weekends. None of my recent videos have referral payout money. And no worries, I will specify inside my video if I ever receive referral payouts to be transparent with my viewers.
      Anyway, $1200 in 40 hours is pretty good. Good job. I'm making $1,100-$1,300 in usually under 30 hours(sometimes I'll work as much as 36 hours) on just the weekends here in Honoulu HI and my cash tips are almost always covering my gas so that's pure net. The main difference between us is that I mostly just drive weekend nights/early mornings.
      What kind of vehicle do you drive and is it basic Lyft or Premium?

    Help me. I've been w Lyft since Oct 2023. Signed on same time w Uber. Uber still has my BR check stalled in pending. I've talked to them on the phone 17 times to no avail. I was accepted w Lyft in 2 days. What can I do to get off this 7 month snag w Uber?

      Hey, I'm going to make a video about this one day but I might be able to help now.
      I've gotten stuck before for 4 monhts. The BEST thing you can do is send ALL documents that they ask for in an ACTUAL EMAIL. DO NOT use the Uber app on your phone to send documents. It either gets lost or they mishandle it. Also, when you call ask for a SENIOR SUPERVISOR. It's the highest level of worker on the phone. If they aren't available have them call you back.

    You don’t mention the per mile rate you use to pick what rides you accept

    • @TheRideshareCoach
      @TheRideshareCoach  11 місяців тому

      I don’t even look at per mile rate anymore. I just focus on quests and try to drive during peak hours to maximize my chances of getting boosts/surge pay. Then I factor in fuel costs and divide my earnings by the number of hours I’m online with the driver apps.

    Do you think i can make that money in Des Moines /Iowa?

    • @TheRideshareCoach
      @TheRideshareCoach  Рік тому +2

      I think it's possible to make this kind of money in any city. You just need to get out and experiment with different hours and different areas in your city. Try to map out when and where the surges happen and focus on those areas. Also, the tipping element is always a factor. The better your get at the job and the better your customer service, the more chances you have of getting good tips. Also it's important to have both Uber and Lyft. That way you can benefit from each of their weekly quest/bonus offers.
      Last but not least, it may take quite a bit of time to figure out when/where to drive and to become good at this. Took me about 6 months in Honolulu HI to become decent at it and about a year to become really good. If you quit after 3 weeks or less you haven't given this enough of a sample size. I hope this helps and leave another comment if you have any more questions!

      BTW, side note: I stayed in Des Moines Iowa for a week. I believe the night life is strong enough to make similar money to what I do.

      @@fubub3595 I see. Yeah, the Lyft destination switch is annoying half of the time, but the other half of the time it actually helps me out to get a better ride that's closer to me so I would experiment with that a little bit more before quitting. What kind of bonuses are Lyft offering you? Can you tell me the details please?
