Nadeo has been on the ShootMania project for a few years now. But good thing that 2 good Fast FPS are coming out this year! If you liked Tribes, you might enjoy ShootMania as well.

+JAV1L15 Lack of player base is due to ubisoft not giving a shit. Making a good free to play game is not as simple as you think it is. There needs to be things that the player would want to buy. And don't say aesthetic elements, because that is free in Shootmania.
P.S. I think that Shootmania is still pretty active in Europe.

I never played Shootmania (since as we know, violent video games were bad, source: just trust me) but I must've watched this trailer dozens of times. Everything about it was (and still is) so damn exciting.

The great thing about this game is that it's SO simple. No bazillion guns that inherently causes imbalance. No vehicles or stationary weapons. Only a gun and pure skills. I'm looking forward to this game.

Good video presentation. But the game is dead.
Not often does a game trailer give me chills.
Maybe not the crazy camerawork, but I can definitely see the "edges" on all the character animations. I like that. It tells me what I'm watching isn't fake.

This is going to be the game that puts FPS back into its rightful respectful place. Enter, E-Sports and a player-driven community where the game is developed BY the community, and you have the new generation of FPS game. This.
This is just the best trailer ever. i've been playing it since the first night it was aired.
Well the game is simple, but that makes it a blank canvas for creative minds. These games are all about community, customization, and simple fun. Definitely not for every one, but for the right person, such as myself, this game is pretty darn sweet.
As a player, there's 3 weapons depending on context, at least 12 game modes (haven't played them all yet) and it supports up to 100 players per server.
And it's fucking epic.
Definitely one of the best trailers i've seen in a while - can't wait to try out this game O.O!!
This is the first shooter I wanted to play in ages!!!!
Its like poker - you've got the basic framework for the game which is what made it playable, yet its the variations and types that have evolved it into a competitive endeavour.
To be honest, with the right map layout, this could easily be the next Ricochet. 10 thumbs up Nadeo!

During the E3 demo they got some real decent players to showmatch this game. Perhaps it truly will be an eSports title. Signed up for the beta hoping it'll be the next shooter with some decent competition.

Opening up to the community is essentially ensuring this games success.
It's already been accepted as an eSports title thanks to the gameplay and customization of the game, and it's only in beta. They already have modes that are 100% supported by the eSports community.

Actually it looks pretty damn good on any setting. Highest settings are obviously much better, but this kind of game doesn't even really need to look good because of how much fun it is. But it is quite scalable, and still looks decent on lower settings, so many older PC's will still run it no problem.

The visuals are astounding, and the gameplay looks promising.
there is quite a complex replay editor in the game that lets you go pretty much crazy but to be true to get somethign as awesome as this out of the editor youd have to be a pro at such stuff + have an eye for cool shots and match all that up to a good music track
Looks fast-paced and solid gameplay, none of these super fancy graphics and generic shit these days. I look forward to playing this
no they actually are very good graphics, if you go into the settings before entering the game you can change them to high and they're AWESOME
Also there are points in the video where players seem to tank a shot without dying. It could be that the one hit kills are for dramatic purposes. Most of this is clearly choreographed and not raw game footage. The high movement speed of the characters leads me to believe it's at least 1-3 hits to kill.
I am so happy that a game like this is being made! Finally a game with tools that look as good as Halo's in terms of being able to make videos and the like.
Better than The Finals trailer, thats actually the reason I came back to watch this in 2024

This game's simplicity is its strength.
yes i play it like 3 weeks now and it is HUGE fun... because you dont need to care about where on map is your favorite weapon... and who will pick up first minigun....you only care about your skill and your frags and your team win....thats what make this game good for ESL and HUGE amount of cups...It is in Beta for like 4 weeks and there was already like 7 cups for like thousands of dollars and euros...so... yeah its pretty fun...

what I was trying to say is that the Unreal engine isn't only used for shooters, so you can see, even an engine that was originally designed for shooters can run other games well too.

I have this game, and he is just awesome. The Alpha had a lot a very skilled players. It's for windows only.
console fan boys need to realize that there are other types of games out there, it may not sound fun, but some people actually appreciate the challenge and dynamic emergent gameplay that these sort of games have to offer

Its what made Nadeo famous. An easy-to-use map editor, just like in Trackmania. Additionally you can share EVERY map online, just like Trackmania United (Forever). Just take a few seconds, open Google and you'll find your source on your own. Come on, it isn't THAT hard. (There is even a free *Demo* for Trackmania, called Trackmania Nations. With a Map-Editor. Freakin easy-to-use, too.)
and btw there are 3 guns - Laser (1 hit kill, rocket launcher > 4 ammo slow shooting, and sort of granade launcher usable only in tunnels..) :) and like 15 + game modes right now... and nuber is growing because players can make custom modes...

The game is powered by players same as trackmania, u do what u want to do, it's impossible to be repetitive !
After 5 years of hiding in the wind, hiding behind the illusive cover of suspicion and questionable desire, hiding behind the simple name, and image created by Nadeo... It's finally arrived.

hopefully they have a good arsenal of weapons. like what i see so far, and the idea of it being all about user maps is one of the best things ever.
however i see only 2 weapons in this video.
THIS is an fps, not fucking cod or battlefield. This is a real FPS that requires skill, is competitive and pumps up your adrenaline.
There is on the Editor and when your recording a take on MediaTracker, just press 2 on the numpad

Those people who say that SM story is over are wrong, maybe there's more to come, although there's no chance of that. People just need to show this game, explain it, let them play. ShootMania is hard to understand at first try, your understanding of how brilliant and one-of-a-kind it is starts to appear only after hundreds and thousands of hours played. The problem is that only a few people know about this game and at the same time those who do know about it are afraid to give it a chancee only. I've been here ~11 years in total, and I'm not going anywhere yet

You'll at least be able to customize the shields on the back of the players so that will help differentiate people. Further customization of the player model might be possible, but I'm not sure.

This company Nadeo does know how to make a trailer.
Really well done trailer, wow. With the lack of weapon variety I'm curious to how it's going to play out, especially with lack of progression. I'd still be excited if it was a "everyone is even as soon as you start" and then get their edge through high number of players, high speed, and great maps =)
