Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all you cheeky bastards. This video features two new narrators, Keg and Lance. After making this video, I was thinking about doing a list on creepy Zelda characters but I feel like that’s overdone. What do you think? Anyways, thanks for a fantastic 2017! Cheers to an even better 2018!
EVERY SINGLE Nintendo 64 game I have or had made me shit myself when I was younger. In fact, I'm surprised King K. Rool from Donkey Kong 64 wasn't on the list, mainly because of that one cutscene of him laughing maniacally every time you got a game over or quit the game.
I think the bad graphics actually made some of them more horrifying, since your brain tries to fill in the details automatically (thus requiring your brain to think more on the subject) instead of being directly presented the final result with HD where it can be auto-filtered easily.
@@alessiocece2098 Hardly stupid, as the majoras mask 3ds remake is FAR less offputting visually than the n64 counterpart. Just compare the moons, the lower polygon count on the n64 makes the visuals look more uncanny, something our brains naturally dislike, whereas the higher detail moon on MM 3D looks silly rather than uncanny or spooky. The same can be said for the eel in mario 64 vs what they look like now, the difference is night and day and they no longer look scary, no jagged teeth, blocky faces, or bulging eyes to distract you anymore. If you have no insight to offer yourself, it is better to not refer to something as stupid when it clearly has relevance and evidence.
The ReDeads in Ocarina of Time were way scarier. They were the creatures that froze you when they screamed and then would hump your back, sucking the life from you.
When I read the signs telling me about the eel it got quite out of know were so I just left the level and never played it. I was like 5 or 6 or 7 I dont know.
I was scared to go in the water so I used the platforms on the side and when the water got deeper and darker to see at the end all of my body cells got thanos snaped out of existence.
Yeah but the zombies were still scarier.Especially their sound. It wasnt really the way they looked but rather the sound they were making that was scary.

For me it was the sound when you died in DKC. I hadn't realized that the sudden pop was the life balloon. I typically died by falling off a cliff and assumed it was the sound of Donkey Kong's body slamming into the ground.
Oh come on, kids love a little spook. Not only does it add a variety so you appreciate the happy and mellow zones more, it adds realism and believability. Ask yourself: which world seems more real: Legend of Zelda or the Sims' one, where even Death himself is a joke.

No, Bongo Bongo is way scarier than anything else in zelda games, the problem is that most people didn't notice that bongo is a beheaded hanging (from legs) man with his hands severed and it's eye, actually is his neck stump
The ReDeads should be on the list, and should be first. The fuckers scream and not only scare the player, but also paralyze Link in place so that they can jump on Link's back and suck the life out of him

Yeah, you need to get out and touch some trees. Like that is way too meta for anyone's well-being. And I say that as a person with a lot of dreamy fantasizing as a child. Your take is the embodiment of cosmic horror.

Think about it!
I think Dead Hand from Zelda wins hands down, the broken neck look with a horse teeth filled head on top was a tad unsettling to my 13 year old mind back in the day.
i didn't even remember the piano but that eel traumatized me for life and i could never trust water levels again. there's that part in majora's mask where you can help the seahorse but you have to face the eels and i ... rather not face any eels ever again...
Right?! I also have a phobia about being underwater & it freaks me out even in games. So the eel plus being underwater got to my child self. Note: Main reason water freaks me out is I can't swim. I can fully inhale and hold my breath, lay on my back, and I sink to the bottom. My parents tried teaching me to float & upon seeing that, they were baffled. I can just sit on the bottom of a pool. I also have an arm that dislocated easily due to a traffic accident, so I can't fully rotate it & this can't even try to swim. Imagine your arm stops working mid swimming? Dead.
5:49 I remember this as a kid. I was maybe 6? As soon as I went onto that level, it creeped me out. I think it was also night time, so it freaked me out even more when I found the paino. Lol. Our N64 still works somehow, it just needs a new power cable.
Wrinkly Kong? Not that freaking Jack n' the Box boss or those vampire tomatoes in DK 64? I never thought Wrinkly Kong was creepy as a kid but those invincible bouncing tomatoes were freaking scary man!
Play the game. It really is terrifying. The sky gets dark, it's raining and these tomatoes with fangs start popping out of the ground and chasing you. You also can't kill them by normal means.
4:11 You mean L.O.G.? Gruntilda's the one who turned him into a cyborg. Then again, to make matters worse, the Lord of Games eventually put the poor guy on display in a museum, chopped into bits
When I was younger my mom noticed I wasent getting that much sleep and my mom talking me I screamed re-dead and she looked it up on google and I remember seeing the color drain her face XD she said oh that's why and she said how about you stop playing that game so late at night
I'm pretty sure that Gravity Falls referenced Brain Andross. There's an episode where Dipper, Mable, Wendy, and the rest of the teens go to an haunted, abandoned corner store, and have a party. Dipper has to get ice from the ice-box, and sees a brain, with eyes and tentacles resembling Brain Andross.
I remember being spooked by Spongebob Steelpants from Battle for Bikini Bottom. His size, transparent eyes, and general inhumanity really did it for me.
@@trashrat7416 you probably have not played Majora's Mask, that moon is with you through the whole 3 day cycle, if you mess up by not rewinding time before 6am on the 3rd day YOUR DEAD but that's just my opinion. You can think what is the most scary to you and I can think that as well.
Max Hernandez Cave of Bad Dreams when you're being chased by Jano in Rayman 2: The Great Escape (who has either hypnotized Rayman or he's on a drug trip to bring them there in the cutscene), his giant mouth wide open right behind you, as you slide away from him and hope you don't run into anything.

Mario 64 gave me a fear for underwater levels in video games. I could not play the level with the eel and if I recall it was a shark down there, too.

He was just a cute little shark
Pineapple From Another Galaxy I Agree!!!! Rip
Pineapple From Another Galaxy Yeah. Poor Clanker
Pineapple From Another Galaxy ikr
Well at least he's not garbage disposal anymore.
Pineapple From Another Galaxy yeah, that one r e a l l y disturbed me
I think Dead Hand from Zelda wins hands down, the broken neck look with a horse teeth filled head on top was a tad unsettling to my 13 year old mind back in the day.
Broken neck
*natsuki thoughts intensify*
Try being only 6 when you meet the dead hand (and that goes double for the redeads)
That fish thing from Mario 64 still makes me shit myself to this day
It's unagi the eel
WHEN FINDING THE EEL IN SM64DS IT WASN'T SCARY SINCE I KNOW IT NOW
SAME
Exxxtra Emo same
I WAS PLAYING SUPER MARIO ODYSSEY AND THE FUCKING EEL STILL SCARED ME
I loved swimming more than ever until I learned about that eel thru my friend...straight up always thought it was down there
To be honest im scared of the eel in sm64 more than the piano
Bernicia Angel Tirta The eel is ugly af though
Same!!
Bernicia Angel Tirta same here since childhood
i didn't even remember the piano but that eel traumatized me for life and i could never trust water levels again. there's that part in majora's mask where you can help the seahorse but you have to face the eels and i ... rather not face any eels ever again...
For goodness sakes am I the only one who thought the eel was kind of cute???
Sees the eel in the thumbnail, immediately clicks!
Your Favorite Canadian UA-camr, Eh! I Know Right.
That thing gives me nightmares as well. You're not alone.
Reminds me of the red lizards from rain world.
Your Least Favorite Canadian UA-camr, Eh! Its a shark not an eel
I don't think you're actually Canadian
I am
But I don't say *eh* in every sentence
あれは、ウナギでもサメでもなくウツボです。
It is moray eel no sharks.
That flanker character look like it was badly abused
*BUT HEY THATS JUST A THEORY*
*A GAME THEORY*
hahaahahaahaha
LOL
Flanker? His name is Clanker tho- oh wait I see the mistake. It autocorrected me when i was typing too.
Hahahahahaha Hahahahahaha Hahahahahaha that’s my favourite youtube channel hahhahahahahahhahahahaahahhaahahhahhaha
*HIS NAME IS NOT FLANKER, ITS CLANKER.*
When you're arguably one of the most scariest enemies in Mario 64 but they don't include you in the list:
*sad eel noises*
that eel with allways freak me out lol
Dead.
jess pace it doesn’t scare me anymore tho but I know what u mean
Not me and I played it when I was 5 or 6!
@@TheZephyrsWind same i wouldnt go near that thing when i played it i wouldnt even go in water
@@TheZephyrsWind Is it even a phobia anymore when it's to do w/ something you can't exactly help
THAT FUCKIN PIANO
Skyluhz Username666
5:49 I remember this as a kid. I was maybe 6? As soon as I went onto that level, it creeped me out. I think it was also night time, so it freaked me out even more when I found the paino. Lol. Our N64 still works somehow, it just needs a new power cable.
deadhand is globglogabgalab in his afterlife
When the meme died, he came back as that blob of flabby skin with bloody patches.
organic organs
seems legit
There's artificial organs, you know.
I mean there could be artificial organs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@steeltype2031 There's also inaudible audio. Still sounds stupid to say 'audio sounds'.
Clovilah Audible audio
I hate that eel...
Unagi appeared in quite a few subsequent Super Mario games.
ESCALATORS ESCALATORS ESCALATORS
Eels... ._.
Stan Marsh Yeah i know
Wrinkly Kong? Not that freaking Jack n' the Box boss or those vampire tomatoes in DK 64? I never thought Wrinkly Kong was creepy as a kid but those invincible bouncing tomatoes were freaking scary man!
FashTheStampede Username666
+crismar Rivera could you shut the heck up with that?
FashTheStampede
The mushrooms in dk64 that play possum
Well when you call them _invincible bouncing tomatoes_ they don't sound as scary
Play the game. It really is terrifying. The sky gets dark, it's raining and these tomatoes with fangs start popping out of the ground and chasing you. You also can't kill them by normal means.
Dead hand is now the demon I see in CORNER OF MY EYE when I have sleep paralysis
Yeah, you have post another great video. I really love your work and I hope you keep it up.
Eddie Gonzalez thaaaaaanks
Eddie Gonzalez you really look like Manny Paquiao
Eddie Gonzalez Username666
Dead hand is just the globglogabgalab with aids
UA-cams Useless Dumster 😂
UA-cams Useless Dumster yup
UA-cams Useless Dumster OMFG I CANT BREATHE 😂😂😂
UA-cams Useless Dumster LMFAO
UA-cams Useless Dumster HAHAHAH
At least clanker is a good fellow in a good way
4:11 You mean L.O.G.? Gruntilda's the one who turned him into a cyborg. Then again, to make matters worse, the Lord of Games eventually put the poor guy on display in a museum, chopped into bits
You frogot to re-deads from ocarena of time they made me have nightmares for years the noise they make is ear shattering and disturbing
I was actually scared of them in ocarina of time when I was like 7, I didn't even want to go past them in castle town as an adult I think the game.
He did say he was choosing one from each game
Ethan Schlacter especially in the 3D version. Every time I play it it scares me
Re-deads = nightmare feul
When I was younger my mom noticed I wasent getting that much sleep and my mom talking me I screamed re-dead and she looked it up on google and I remember seeing the color drain her face XD she said oh that's why and she said how about you stop playing that game so late at night
To make Dead Hand more terrifiyng. In german it is called "brain-sucker" O__O
VenusFeuerFalle
Thank you for scaring me
Well it makes sense
For his "hands" and his big mouth
No, the translation of dead hand is tote hand, which also translates to dead hand
whelp opening up google translate now bye
+Teal nexxia In the german version of the game, "Dead Hand" is called "hirnsauger" which translates to "brain sucker"
Dead hand is the scariest
I Agree, He Looks Really Disturbing.
What also creept me out every time in Ocarina of time was these dead people under the tombstone of the dead king😨
Taehyung and Tata Redeads?
Reminds me of the globglogalab
Ikr
I'm pretty sure that Gravity Falls referenced Brain Andross. There's an episode where Dipper, Mable, Wendy, and the rest of the teens go to an haunted, abandoned corner store, and have a party. Dipper has to get ice from the ice-box, and sees a brain, with eyes and tentacles resembling Brain Andross.
Yeah, the creepiest part for me was they never ask about that
Poor Clanker :(
Poor Clanker :(
#copyothercomments XD
Love Clanker
Lik if u cri every tiem
The piano from Mario 64 scared the shit out of me when I was a kid lol
As a child I found Chompasaurus from Banjo-Tooie to be terrifying. It didn't help that the scene in which he swallows Banjo was in the demo.
Nils Müller I love your profile pic! 💕
At the begin: nice chill voice
Few minutes later: **Clanker**
The eel and Nessie from Mario 64 literally made me cry as a child.
Im glad i never got past the water lvl
The piano scared me more😭
ikr The eel was god damn horrify
@@cllionebutmakeitinactivefo3853 on JAH dude that goddamn piano and the fucking eel man. Nessie was the homie tho

I remember being spooked by Spongebob Steelpants from Battle for Bikini Bottom. His size, transparent eyes, and general inhumanity really did it for me.
LOL I wasent but I do love that game I still have it on the ps2 which actually works
Seriously?
I wasn’t terrified but he was kinda a shocker lol. His laugh was what scared me the most.
It is creepy
Me after dead hand: there is a character more terrifying? What!
And #2 and 1 aren't as terrifying as dead hand tho
@@trashrat7416 they arent in order, it's just a list of 7 creepy characters
@@trashrat7416 you probably have not played Majora's Mask, that moon is with you through the whole 3 day cycle, if you mess up by not rewinding time before 6am on the 3rd day YOUR DEAD but that's just my opinion. You can think what is the most scary to you and I can think that as well.

The Dead hand and wind waker zombies really was jump scare fuel.
wind waker zombies don’t get enough love
I love when Jorge uploads the Spoopy Stuff!
BenjiXAddictX4Ever hey Benji wouldn't think to see you here
I got an idea 10 most disturbing moments in games
Dead Space 2
Max Hernandez, that's actually a good idea.
Big smoke orders
after the dude mention zero2 i got an ad of a dude saying time to drop the zero and get with the hero.
was it vanilla ice?
