some of rareware creators said they did too much violent games like killer instinct and mortal kombat so blameitonjorge if you watched beta64s video about this you`'ll understand
Something that I found interesting when Jorge was talking about Sonic Xtreme is that some if the Scraped storylines were actually reused for Modern Sonic Games. The 6 Magical Rings of Order could very well be Sonic and the Secret Rings, The Shattering Of the Master Emerald was used in Sonic Adventure and instead of Releasing 6 Deadly Creatures, Chaos was Released instead. But the 6 Deadly Creatures were used in Sonic Lost World, they're even called The Deadly 6 to possibly reference this. And the Virtual World was used in Sonic Forces When Infinite uses the Phantom Ruby to create VR Type words.
Talking about lost media is so creepy! I don't know why but it has a similar feeling when talking about ghosts. It's just so bizarre how things disappear. Very eerie.

Six Days in Fallujah is *techincally* no longer lost media as it has been remade and released on Steam in June of this year, although the original version is still lost and this new one is a remake.
This is what I love about lost media. Seeing these pieces of time never to be remembered again or barley clinging on to dear life just for someone to remember it, is really fascinating.
I got more information about GTA 64! It was actually a beta version of GTA 3 being worked on from 1999-2001 until it was cancelled by Nintendo 64 end of support because of GameCube. The GameCube version of GTA 3 in 2001 was cancelled due to glitches, insufficient disk space from it being small, and unusual noises occurring in the game. the GTA 64 data was imported and only edited a few details from GameCube. There is only PS2, PS3 remastered, PS4 remastered, Xbox, and PC Windows.
@@atv8116 Sorry but all of this information is very likely to be false. You haven't pointed to any source at all, and the only reliable source we have says that it's a remake of the first GTA. Also, GTA 3 on the GC being cancelled due to "hardware limitations" isn't true, as the GC was at least 1.5 to 2 times faster than the PS2, and having more RAM to work with. Also could push more polygons at once. The PS2 version of the game is barely 1GB, while the GC had 1.35GB discs. "unusual noises occurring in the game" sounds like stupid creepypasta garbage that makes no sense at all, and that about glitches just sounds more like a silly excuse to back up your baseless claims.
that hardcore erotic game probably did sell but all the mayonaise put on the cartridges by people playing caused them to all stat to malfucntion and ow they no longer work.
I don’t think so. There’s no proof that it even finished development. It’s possible that it finished development but still got cancelled. No copies are known to exist. Your mayo story is ridiculous.

I love how ur idea's for videos are so original, and even if u are creating something that was done 10 times before u are giving us new examples and dont just use the same ones that are recycled over and over again in every video. Big props!
I remember playing Silent Hill P.T. at my cousins house because he thought it would scare me, upon completing it in a room filled with family members we were all pretty disappointed that it was just a playable trailer, it was rather fun and i would've loved to see a full version.
Technically, Sonic X-treme isn't lost anymore, because people are uploading the source engine and various builds of the game(a build of the game with over 100 test rooms was released) rewritten to work with OpenGL and most Modern Operating Systems.
Stefan Einarsson really? Where did hear about this? I’ve never heard of this. I knew there were sonic movies being written back then, but I had no idea that there was a movie being developed based off of it.
Kirby GCN was later reborn as Kirby: Star Allies for the Nintendo Switch. It has a few changed elements, such as the camera angles, but all in all it's pretty similar to the GC prototype, plus a hint of Kirby: Super Star added as well. And the second Japanese prototype was also revamped into Kirby: Blowout Blast for the 3DS, which also had a playable demonstration in Kirby: Planet Robobot. Except instead of regular kirby and copying abilities, you have to rack up as many points as possible by collecting coins and sucking groups of enemies to spit them at larger groups of enemies
Kirby Return to Dreamland is more similar to Kirby GCN than Star Allies actually, and when the devs said Kirby GCN spent 11 years in development, they also count Return to Dreamland too.
We don’t know if they’re related. Kirby Star Allies probably used a different build and engine. They don’t have a similar plot either. Probably not related.
@Blameitonjorge I can shed some light on Fire Emblem 64, Fire emblem 64 was a beta of fire emblem 6 fuuin no tsurugi, being that fire emblem 64 wasn't believed to have sold well because at the time Nintendo's president of Japan didn't believe in Japanese RPGS so they pushed it to GBA, they had to start over and the story of Roy from melee took place.

Sadness and B.C. were two games I wanted so bad. But they got cancelled....bummer. Also, I wanted Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (XBox) and The Unseen (XBox). Both were cancelled as well.
My mum bought me Mean Girls from GAME for £2.50 sometime in 2009, I hadn't heard of the film before but I played it anyway a few times. Incredibly boring though, ended up in the bin a few years ago.
Imagine how many games will be lost once a few seventh or eighth generation game consoles shut down their servers, sort of like what happened with the Dreamcast. Imagine all of the updates that will be lost in time, leaving many games broken and unfinished, with all the games with DRM being impossible to play. Imagine all of the DLC that will be lost in time, and many games having their multiplayer removed from them, with just a single player campaign, sometimes even being a shallow husk of itself to have more DLC or with all the effort on multiplayer.

"Kirby GCN's plot was that Dedede stole Kirby's warp star, and he has to get it back" Knowing the events of Adventure/Nightmare in Dream Land and the more recent Kirby games, I'm sure there would've been something more, something deeper to the plot
When we find that French erotic game, I'll bet you it won't be worth it. What point is an erotic game if early 80s graphics were so primitive? Custer's Revenge answered that question already. There is no point.

Star Wars 1313 is the most disappointing cancellation I’ve ever seen. I actually remember when it was announced back in the day and i was actually hyped for it to be released only years later I found out it was canceled. What a shame to Walt Disney.
I KNEW I wasn't crazy for remembering something about an Elder Scrolls PSP game... EDIT: If I'm not mistaken, I remember initially reading about it in a magazine?-maybe Game Informer?
Sadness eventually became the indie haunted house game 'Layers of Fear'. Most of the original staff worked on it and it contains several similar concepts.
GTA 64 was actually an early beta of GTA 3. It was cancelled in favor of releasing it for the upcoming 6th generation consoles. Side note: It was originally planned for the GameCube, but was unable to fit onto the small 1 GB GameCube optical discs, and was therefore cancelled.
Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts is pure cancer anyway. And about "Unreleased Sonic games"... Sonic '06 and Sonic Boom should have never fucking be released in the first place. ALSO. Silent Hills P.T. being cancelled... still fucking upsets me.
There is one big mistake which I am SURE has been mentioned before... but Final Fantasy *WAS* planned and originally worked on for the N64. Following a dispute between Square & Nintendo over the size of cart the game could use (Nintendo wanting Square to cut the game down to fit on a smaller cart), Square took the game to Sony & signed exclusivity with Sony on all new main series FF games up until 2009 I think. As for the difference in the visuals... Square iikely had to scrap the planned designs due to the Playstation being a much less powerful console and rework the characters to be more angular and simplistic.
I really hope that somehow, just somehow, Nintendo could claim the rights to Sadness again. It'd be a good Switch release, and could even incorporate the motion controls it seemed to show in the trailer. I'm not a horror game person myself, but I know there are many people out there who would enjoy a game like it.
14:06 Regarding Star Fox 2: The game was actually re-released on the SNES Mini as a Bonus Game that can be unlocked by beating the first stage of Star Fox 1
Since this is almost 8 years old, I would love if Jorge made a new version of this with new games and facts, potentially updating the facts that were in this video.
Okay, seriously? If we can make games about World War I (trenches, shell shock, mustard gas, land mines) and II (Nazis, Omaha Beach, the Holocaust, you know the horrors), and even games like Grand Theft Auto, I think we can acceptably make a game about Fallujah. The controversy and the fact that it happened so recently were probably the reasons why it didn't pass development, but geez people, it's not like it was a Rwandan Genocide Simulator.
So true Deku Scrubber, so true. People don't know and understand what they supposedly defend. For me games based on these themes including Fallujah make gamers aware of things that have happened in the world and that are still happening. But really, your comment is very valid and well thought out. Thanks for making me think! :)
I think it was because it was too soon after the whole ordeal. I'm pretty sure the same would have happened if a holocaust game was made around the same year as the holocaust. 😂
and radical attempted to reboot crash titled: Crash land or 2010 for ps3, x360 but because Activision wanted to team to focus more on prototype 2 they got fired
+Takicos1991 But they stopped because they were wanting to get the rights to Half-Life and almost did back in 2014, then in 2015, Neil tweeted about getting the license which brought it back up with mostly positive feedback. However, Valve low key confirmed that they're secretly almost done episode 4 because they have episode 3 already done, but want to redeem themselves for having it wait for so long in releasing the next part right away as well.
No. They bought the franchise, and then owned it from there on out. If Interplay still wanted to make Fallout games they shouldn’t have sold Fallout to Bethesda.
It's worth noting that now 10 years later, Six Days in Fallujah will actually release later this year (2021) and it's even being developed by former Halo developers working with the team. I guess enough time has passed from the Iraq war that it's now "acceptable" to make a game based upon it.
Six Days in Fallujah was actually revived in February 2021 by Highwire Games with the publisher replaced by Victura. The game will be released in Q4 2021.
You forgot to mention that most of the content from the cancelled Kirby GBC game was reworked into Kirby’s Return to Dream Land, including the final boss and the trailer’s music which was used for The Arena subgames. And the other cancelled GBC game was reworked into the Kirby 3D Rumble minigame for Kirby Planet Robobot. Also, it’s funny that I’ve already heard of Kid Kirby when I was little, yet never knew what the SNES Mouse was until I saw this video.
If there was a sequel to this I think the list would consist of Tremors the game, Runemaster, Star Wars: Attack Squadrons, Cartoon Network: Backlot Party, Dead Rush, ill Bleed 2, Jurassic Park: Survival, Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned, Dirty Harry, Prey 2, Super Mario's Wacky World, BattleBots, City of the Dead, Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6: Patriots, 100 Bullets, inSANE, Afro Samurai 2 and Agent.

I believe Lucas Arts made a new Sam and Max game back in the early 2000s. I think the game was completed and everything, but they never released it for some reason. I was so upset because I really loved the comics. At least Tale Tell made some games.

There is only PS2, PS3 remastered, PS4 remastered, Xbox, and PC Windows.
and GTA 64 (3) GameCube had hardware limitations
I heard that final fantasy 64 became ff7. Earthbound 64 became mother 3.
@@TDRR_Gamez This was from a broken link three years ago!

Technically, Sonic X-treme isn't lost anymore, because people are uploading the source engine and various builds of the game(a build of the game with over 100 test rooms was released) rewritten to work with OpenGL and most Modern Operating Systems.
There was also going to be a movie based on the game and it’s one of the reasons for it’s cancelion

That game is probably forgotten by this point
Don’t expect it coming soon

Okay, seriously? If we can make games about World War I (trenches, shell shock, mustard gas, land mines) and II (Nazis, Omaha Beach, the Holocaust, you know the horrors), and even games like Grand Theft Auto, I think we can acceptably make a game about Fallujah. The controversy and the fact that it happened so recently were probably the reasons why it didn't pass development, but geez people, it's not like it was a Rwandan Genocide Simulator.
So true Deku Scrubber, so true. People don't know and understand what they supposedly defend.
