Recently I took ketamine therapy for treatment resistant depression. For most of my life, I have had suicidal thoughts. On the advice of my doctor and many online sources, I constructed a music playlist to listen to during my ketamine trip. I asked the doctor about how long it would take for the experience to reach its maximum effect, and then I timed my playlist so Hanazeve Caradhina would play during that time. Listening to Penkin and Saitou's original version, I saw an incredibly beautiful cloudy blue sky stretching out infinitely. My body began to stretch as well, up toward that deep blue sky. I stretched out infinitely, growing ever thinner, until I disappeared. In that moment I experienced a fraction of what death is like. And though I am still struggling, I credit this song for helping me know deep down within me that it will be okay. We will all be okay.

One of my favorite interpretations of the original song is that its a prayer to the abyss. Sort of like a way for not only delvers to pray for their safe travel, but also to those who dwell within the deepest parts of the abyss. Almost pleading the abyss to spare their life- or take it. This specific cover really showed that side of it. The final verse and chorus really felt like a desperate call to the abyss. Along with the most mind-blowing, ethereal, and straight-up alien-like voice of Takeshi Saitou, Hanezeve Caradhina will always take my top spot for anime scores of all time. I tip my hat to you Takeshi Saitou, Sovereign of Harmony. May your voice be heard all throughout the abyss. Through its vast caverns, its dangerous and wonderful creatures, and its rich and profound history.

Not really professional but the range of it can be reached with a solid - good falsetto(tested). But to get this much control and its silky smooth texture has to have been years of training

同意。原曲を初めて耳にした時は低音のめっちゃ上手い、ゴスペルとかのバックボーンがある大柄な黒人女性あたりだと思ってました。声の擦れまでが、まさに「エキゾチックで甘く切ない」表現力全開でイヤフォンで聴いたら幸せになれました！
しかも、セルフカバーではまさかの弾き語りで披露してくれるなんて。歌とギターどっちか片方だけでも超絶技巧の域なのに両方同時にこなされていて、もう感動が頭の中で大渋滞を起こして聴き終わった後は変な笑いが思わず出てました。
