    I love this soundtrack so much, I literally play this piece at least once every day in my music playlist. It's both uplifting and melancholic, and it seems like the music is longing for a place it can never reach...

    The greatest thing with your arrangements and playing compared to many other people doing similar stuff is that you always manage to capture the emotion soo perfectly. This is possibly one of my favorite OSTs(along with The Voice in My Heart from VE) and I can't put into words how well done it is. Never expected a piano version for this but it sounds soo gorgeous

      Thank you for your comment! There is always a lengthy trial and error process behind every single one of my arrangement and I always strive to find the perfect balance between piano technique and emotional impact. Sometimes I also ask myself many critical questions like "are there any unnecessary notes" or "does this transition sound natural on the piano" and only if everything is perfectly balanced, I will start to record the newest piece.
      It's a lot of effort, but it's worth it!

    There's nothing like this song. It knows the sadness of saying goodbye and the excited joy at discovering something on your journey. At the same time. It's like leaving your home forever at dawn and how it hurts to leave everyone forever but the new sun is lighting up the leaves and you can't wait to see what is just over the hill.
    Perfect

    • @EmptageFamily
      @EmptageFamily Місяць тому

      Totally. I've had a pretty hard life myself. My dad left us when I was almost 11, we moved away from our home state and friends when I was 12, and now my mom has cancer. And yet there are so many joys in life; my sister is one of my best friends, my mom remarried and has a very cute daughter that I get to talk to and play with, we got to visit our home state, and we get to see our biological dad. And there are all my new friends, new places to see, and new things I would never have been able to do without these things happening to me. I've matured through this, and I am prepared for pain. So when you feel hopeless, THERE IS LIGHT at the end of the tunnel!! You'll make it!!

    Animenz - White Whistle of Anipiano, is the legend who had once upon a time descended past the 7th layer of the abyss. Truth is, he's made it past Bondrewd like child's play, with music alone. At the deeper layers, treading through countless hazardous habitats, Animenz recovered the special grade relic cradle of desire, which he used to wish for two things: 1) life long friendship with Theishter and 2) infinite musical creativity. Holy moly, as if he wasn't OP enough, Animenz ended up meeting Lyza who bestowed him thousand-musican pins, each which is said to grant the user the strength of a thousand musicans. Up to this day, the number of these pins on Animenz's body remains as classified information. However, rumor has it, because Animenz's encounter with Lyza wasn't just an average one (they had eaten Japanese candies together) , the current estimate is 341 pins. With his fully awakened musical spirit, Animenz was able to repel the curse, at least to some extent, as he slowly ascended back to the surface. Although the strain of ascent was minimal, it still ultimately caused some sensory deprivations and bodily harm. This is the untold secret as to why we nowadays can go as much as a week or two without seeing a trace of Animenz on UA-cam. It's quite devastating, but Animenz is fighting day after day with all he's got, and he'll always deliver. Here's a toast to our White Whistle for all his accomplishments and upholding the modern standards of anime piano! 🥂

    Oh yeah, it's been a while!!!
    I've listened to this track so many times, heard piano covers, played it myself, I thought I knew exactly how this arrangement was going to go. How wrong I was!
    0:48 so exact! feels just like the original, love those left hand octaves
    1:36 that must be so satisfying to play
    1:38 runs!
    1:57 so powerful, hits so well!!
    2:20 THIS!!! now THIS is grand, and it just keeps building! I love it to bits, this is the part that made me go "oh I need to react to the whole thing now I guess"
    2:32 we need to play EVERY VOICE FROM THE ORIGINAL and who better to manage that than Animenz himself. Beautiful, orchestral finale!
    2:43 feels
    3:09 we're descending towards the bottom of the abyss, never to see the light of day again...
    This track fits your style perfectly! I'll have this on loop for a while. Can't wait to see what else season 2 has in store for us 👀

    • @Animenzzz
      @Animenzzz  2 роки тому +20

      0:48 I was actually torn between arranging it exactly like the original song or doing an alternative, more lyrical approach, suited for the piano instrument. In fact there were two versions I have arranged but I decided to record the bass octaves version since polyphony always wins, haha
      And yeah, 2:20 is quite literally orchestra power at max! I was imagining all the brass instruments playing those Da-Da-Da as majestic as possible among all the string instruments! Thanks for watching, Caliko!

    The animenz experience: you feel like your listening to the whole song. The melody sings as much as the original vocals, every instrument seems to be captured on the piano, you can truly experience the whole song when animenz is just using a piano.

    I watched Made in Abyss when I had recently moved across the country. I had no internet at home then so I stayed late at work to watch movies and anime. Found Made in Abyss, and it was a defining anime for sure. Excellent arrangement.

    This is my absolute favourite thing to play at the moment. Unravel and My Dearest are still above my skill level, and I want to play those one day, but I can play this one now.
    Thank you so much, for providing things that I really want to play that push my limits as a pianist. I never thought I'd "deserve" a grand piano but now I am getting one because for the first time the barrier to producing great music isn't (just) my own skill anymore. I've been playing for 28 years and have suddenly had a great leap forward just because of getting the motivation I needed.

    I have yet to find another anime pianist at the same level as you. With all the techniques you use, you are somehow able to transform a single piano into a stand-in for a whole orchestra, capturing both the melody and harmony and the feelings within both. Outstanding performance, as always!

    You just keeping reaching new heights like your idol Beethoven! I love that you feel you are at just the beginning of your musical journey and it's absolutely true! Beethoven was doing his best work in his mid 50's. Haydn's was in his 60's! I wish you many more years of growth and inspiration!

      At first I thought it was Esperanto (there are some anime soundtracks featuring this exotic language) but yeah, it is an entirely made up language. But it does "feel" like a real language... it's hard to explain, haha

    I've never watched Made in Abyss (should I?), but those opening notes pulled me in until I was totally immersed in the story of this song. I can't put a finger on the exact word for how it makes me feel... your use of "uplifting and melancholic" seems close, though. The transition from the gorgeous climax to the conclusion in 2:42 seems to sum the feeling up... it's like missing someone or something. This is definitely one of my favorites of your covers now.
