Today, I want to cover what you need to know about an inflamed liver. In many cases, people are unaware that they have inflammation in the liver. This can allow it to progress leading to scar tissue and cirrhosis. But, the good news is that the liver is one of the only organs that can completely regenerate.
People don’t typically experience any symptoms of an inflamed liver until it has progressed. One of the big symptoms is lethargy. An inflamed liver, scar tissue, or a fatty liver can lead to additional problems like arthritis, decreased thyroid function, and digestive problems. It can also create a weakness in the gallbladder.
A few causes of inflammation in the liver:
    • Sugar
    • Refined carbs
    • Alcohol
    • Vegetable oils
    • Snacking
Autoimmune conditions can also lead to an inflamed liver. Something else to keep in mind is that cancer tends to travel to areas of inflammation. It’s important to try to eliminate as much inflammation as possible.
With inflammation in the liver, you slowly lose liver function over time. But, the interesting thing about the liver is that you don’t actually need much of it to function normally. It can take a beating and regenerate as long as you don’t let it get too bad. Cruciferous vegetables are one of the best things to consume to help support the liver.
What you could do if you have an inflamed liver:
    1. Take milk thistle (500mg per day)
    2. Take vitamin D3 (10,000-20,000+ IUs per day)
    3. Do intermittent fasting (at least 18 hours per day)
    4. TUDCA (2 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon on an empty stomach)
    5. Take tocotrienols (300mg with a meal)
    6. Take selenium (200mcg)

I'm one of those people who believes that there's a deeper, more nefarious agenda regarding the food industry. The fact that there are vegetable oils in so many items and that we're taught that carbs are to be the bulk of our diet per the food pyramid....it's very interesting and noteworthy that a pyramid is used. Some will know what I mean. It's maddening.

So true! From my experience you cannot tell people either. They are happy to carry on, eating the same way as for the last 40 to 50 years, having health issues. Popping tablets, whining about their rheumatoid arthritis, blood pressure, pre-diabetic condition, etc. And they still tell me that fasting and eating a low carb diet is bad for me.

We are taking the Electrolyte, the Tocotrienols, the gallbladder kit and the Magnesium Bisglycinate. My husband is fighting liver disease and I am dealing with thyroid, kidney and gastrointestinal problems. We have been going to doctors several times a week for over a year. Had my gallbladder removed at 23 and started gaining weight (when I got married I weighed 117 lbs and now at age 55 I weigh 143 lbs so not too bad of a weight gain for 35 years of marriage), got pregnant at 25 and hair started thinning, was diagnosed with hypothyroidism at 33. I wished youtube and Dr. Berg had been around those many years ago, then I would have known what was causing all my problems and known what to do about them. I'm going to try this to see if my liver is the root cause. Thank you, Dr. Berg!!!

I was diagnosed with a fatty liver, my enzymes were elevated the doctor had me have a n ultrasound.
Since then I stopped drinking for a while, fasted and ate low carb, lost about 10 pounds.
My next blood test showed a decrease in the enzymes.
Ate lots of salads with protein, eggs and cruciferous as you suggested.

Hello Dr.Berg! Thank you very much for all the valuable information and the protocols you are sharing with us! I have been diagnosted with Hep C 23 years ago, most likely from a blood trunsfusion. 3 years later a stone the size of a hazel nut was found in my gall bladder and I had it removed, so no gall bladder. I have been having digetion issues ever since, half an hour after almost every meal, mostly breakfast, I would have lower abdomen pain and a bowel movement which most of the time was loose. I have been following you for almost 2 months now and I did make the shake with kale, blueberries, kefir and water for 2 weeks. After the first day of having 2 cups of the shake I started to feel improvement. Also, this summer I started to have really serious skin issues and the fam physician said that it is candida. I knew it was caused by my liver. It's getting better now but, about one week in the shake, I started to have itchiness at the base of the nose and it is really bad. I feel like it is too personal to describe all the symptoms I had before and how much I improved after, but my digestion and stools improved very much. I am 73 and I have been very careful with my eating, I started to see a naturopathic doctor ever since I learned about Hep C. I took on and off Milk Thistle, Vit C IV's. And, I will continue with the kale shake and introduce more cruciferous vegetable in my diet. Thank you for all the information in this video, as well. Will start taking D3 again and the other supplements.

I have had liver issues for years, moderate NAFL and multiple growths in the liver. A liver dr told me the pain on my right side was not from the liver! I have been taking milk thistle since 2016 and am up to 1500 mg/day but it was loosing effect. I also take tumeric and ginger but my health was still declining. Last december I added severe headache, confusion and poor balance to my symptoms. I had to take a nap at noon because of the headache! Drs said to take more pain relivers! I added TUDCA and am now improving! My right shoulder pain has gone down to where I can do push ups again! I can now climb a ladder and work on things! Thank you dr berg after going to every kind of health care “specialist” and really only getting worse your videos have put me on the path to recovery. I suffered from fatigue, horrible skin problems, planter fasciitis, neuropathy, right shoulder and neck pain and headaches, eye twitch, cysts in my joints on my hands and anger issues ( which you might address at some point as anger is associated with liver !) I had belly fat that I could never get rid of.I was losing my ability to walk and had bouts of vertigo. Leg cramps and excruciating pain in my IT bands. I had lived in chronic pain most of my life. I was always an active person who thought that I ate pretty healthfully and got lots of exercise as I have a farm and train horses for a living but at 60 I could barely function. Thank god I tripped over your videos. I’m now well on my way back to life! It’s really astounding that the health care industry knows very little about health!! Hopefully this is the start of a revolution and people can start taking back their health. Thank you again!!

Last week I tried adding about have a dose of your Electrolyte and Bile Salts. The electrolyte/bile salts seemed too sweet for my taste when just added to water. But wow! the electrolyte powder with the blended whole lemon TASTES Great. Thought you would like to know this. All the best o you and yours.

It took me ages to realise my liver was inflamed. I kept getting blurry vision after each meal, I had bowel issues which I though was leaky gut, sibo or candida, I rarely had the energy to concentrate, late at night I would be extremely depressed, also when I lied down and breathed in it felt like there was a weight on my chest. All I had to do to fix it was lower my sodium intake, it turns out 2-3 times the recommended amount takes its toll over time. Within just a few days a lot of my symptoms disappeared. Its crazy how salt never gets talked about anymore only sugar, but its just as bad in large amounts and they sneak it into lots of things.

FIFTY years of HCV. At this point if I eat any sugar at all (honey, cocosugar) I wake up in the wee hours with all the symptoms of being DRUNK. None of the fun part, you understand, just the heavy, clumsy, groggy parts. When I don't eat sugar waking up in the night is just waking up and feeling sleepy. BIG Difference.
For what it's worth -- I also have EBV/Hashimoto and my thyroid runs high while my cells reject the hormone (auto immune) and demand more thyroid... I'm sure the sick liver isn't helping.

I knew i had it for many years like 10 for fatty liver, just dont know how to loose it, it runs in our family, i never smoke or drink my entire life, my grandpa also died with it at 40+. I have more than just having liver cirrhosis stage 1, but i did control, trying my best with around 5 to 7 meds everyday for different organs. The weirdest thing is i look so normal, or so fit they say physically but i take lots of meds if they only know. I had cirrhosis since 2019. Im 38 now.i had fatty liver since in my early 20s and never knew about it and im not that fat, still on the weight limit.
