The storm came out of nowhere here in Lawrence. I can hear the branches and pieces of my house tapping the walls and my pets were freaking out and taking cover under the dinner table. The next morning, there was broken branches all over the place, and I even seen my neighbors shed completely blown apart. It was very scary that it felt like my house is gonna be blown away.

I live near Memphis, Tennessee, When we were growing up, it was always the best entertainment of the year, the skies would get really, really dark, then to stand outside our porch and watch the thunderstorms rolling, bringing in that first big gust of wind, I remember the skies used to get pitch black, used to happen all the time, we still get rain and storms, but they’re just not as exciting anymore.
0:46 at my old house my parents parked a vehicle under trees in the driveway & if they heard a storm was coming they would go out & move it forward 20-30 ft or so where there wasn't any trees for if/when the branches decided to break in the storm lol

Lawrence is fifty miles from me and that type of weather is normal here since Kansas weather is very unpredictable
just central USA is unpredictable i lived in kansas for 12 years and moved to Oklahoma. Its just as bad out here as it is in kansas
