OMG, I have been watching your videos forever and must have missed this one featuring Scott, you are two of my biggest motivators that have helped me become a long term vegan runner/biker and to see you both together is like Christmas morning. Love this vid! Growing up in Denver, I've done Long's maybe a half dozen times. My dad's ashes are up there (I know, I know. Not legal, not really even cool. But it was his last wish). I know what a beast this mountain is. Adding the biking to it blows my mind. Anyway, thanks for another awesome piece of work!

    • @duzer

I think it’s really cool that you spread your dads ashes up there. What a beautiful place to grant his wish.

I am not even a distance runner or biker. I play a sport and want to get extra fit for this year after a year of a serious injury. Ive kept these videos on in my office while i work. Since then ive started jog/run/sprinting an extra 3 miles per day, biking in the office, in addition to my on court time. Withing the first week, not one person has not said at first Dude, ur looking more fit, dude ur losing weight, etc. we have sea level living here, 110 and humid in august, and ive got 10,000 foot peaks including the palms to pines trail. Thanks to these vids, im using them now. I feel so relaxed and calm, more focused, i just have had to maintin epsom salt and borax/vitamin c/ iodine baths, eating healthy nutrient rich foods and am even adding some higher calorie food and still leaning out, getting faster, breathing deeper, certainly a high. Thank you for these videos! Really watching these is enhancing my life and helped me find some solutions to what i thought was a difficult physical situation, and it's more fun. Definitely new but also catapulting back to the feeling I had living in Ketchum idaho, being on the mountain in the winter and summer, biking, climbing, learning from the people how to eat etc. Feelin it again so thanks.

I first saw Longs in 1957, and have been in awe ever since. Never climbed it. Thank you for taking my 73 year old bones along on this fantastic adventure. The camera does not do justice to the beauty of the "diamond" east wall, or any other part of Longs, for that matter! Congrats to you and Scott!

Funny how things come around... I did a little bike packing with some biking friends. Fun stuff and I hope to do a lot more. But at heart, I'm a long distance runner. Anyway, I watched your Continental Divide ride and loved every video! I noticed that you were also an ultra distance runner from your videos. Now I see this... Just hanging out with Jurek. Crazy! I did the Grand Slam in 2009 and always wondered how guys like Jurek did the things he does. I'm lucky to just finish. I've hiked Longs before as well... and feel lucky to just finish. I live up in Loveland and have a cousin that lives up in Sunshine Canyon. What a small world.

Yes! Not only an awesome video, but you included a quick blurb on the map of your path. Maps give wonderful context to the whole vid.
Also, Scott was riding with panniers. What did he do with them for the climb up the mountain? Wasn’t he worried that they’d get swiped or were there places to lock them up as well when you got to the trailhead.
