How rewarding it must feel to watch something go from wasting away in a junkyard to looking almost brand new and moving under its own power again.
It's a feeling you want to feel over and over again, the sense of accomplishment and thought of wielding the power of resurrection in your very hands makes you want to do it over and over again, giving these time capsules purpose again .
Also the law that allows you to re-register the vehicle again unlike some countries where you can’t re-register any vehicle after being sold to a junkyard which makes the car titled as parts only even if it’s in good condition or can be rebuilt again 💔
More when your younger than later.
So nice to see an old car brought back to life...and NOT hot-rodded up to the point that its lost its original character.
I honestly hate rat rods. I'd rather spend an extra $30,000 bringing a car back to life than take the lazy route and chop it. The only time I love chrome is on vintage cars.
One day I'll find another Studebaker semi. There was one at a scrapyard in my town, a tree had crushed the cab. I don't know what happened to it after I saw it, but I think it was set aside either by the workers or the owner of the scrapyard. Even in it's sorry state, it was a beautiful truck. For my own sanity I choose to believe that it was saved.
Rat rods are good if the car was past the ability for a fully restoration however I agree with you when some one takes a rusted but still good cat and chops it.@@GetDougDimmadomed
Love to see all the old cars in relatively nice shape!! No computers to be messed up by the dust in Texas, LOVE IT!! Wouldn't mind finding an old VW bug to maybe restore!!
Indeed! And i think it is also relative easy to find parts for it, even today.
@@victorvance2573 Amazing that parts are still available!!
@@thomasschwarting5108 of course
the bug was basically the same car since 1960s
Hi Thomas how are you doing 😊
Great body work. Made a 1960 Ford look like a ‘62 Ford.
😂🤣😂
Amazing polish a 61 and it turns into a 62
@@brucespencer2585 Yeah and to think that front fender started it all. Lol. Quite a change, wouldn't ya say??!!
Ya Man! Wtf?😎
that 2 door wagon would have been really cool to rebuild. it was an eye opener to see a different car that got the final rebuild. i really liked that ranch wagon.
Confused. The car at the beginning of the video is a 1960 two door wagon and the finished car is a 1962 four door wagon. Like the idea and concept, but something is off.
THEY WERE SHOWING TWO NOT IDENTICAL CARS
It's the same car on the forklift at the start, in the garage and on the road at the end. The other car, the two-door wagon, seems to serve as an illustration, the four-door had to be removed before the filming session 😉
Basically one side of the car doesnt have a rear door while the other does
S W E E T ♥️♥️
Wagons are mostly driven and used up until there is hardly anything left.
They are a relatively rare sight.
Very nice to see one brought back to life..
Great job 💪
Top job Tom. As long and tedeus the job is that's how easy it is. As well as that you probably hatched a bunch of new car enthusiasts if at least 1.
Hi Robert how are you doing 😊
I love how he starts buffing the paint before fixing anything mechanical
I love a good wagon, it is always amazing how well built cars from yesteryear where made. Thanks for sharing that Beutiful car.
That episode was great to watch.
THIS IS GREAT WE HAD AUTO SHOP IN HIGH SCHOOL AND IT HELPS ME AS OF TODAY WORKING ON CARS ... THIS IS GREAT FOR KIDS TO LEARN..BLESS YAAA!!!!!
Great job!
Great stuff! Well done! Nothing better than spending a day hunting for automotive GOLD!
Great👍🏻 There are so many classic cars waiting for restoration
Outstanding !!.
GREAT OLD BABYS THAT NEED LOVE .. PEACE!!!!
thank you for saving a piece of art
Great video, my stepdad had a straight six black wagon the same as the one in the vid. I remember the vinyl upholstery and hand crank tailgate window. Thanks for the memories.
Old car never die
Fantastic for younger kid's to see what the car's were like when there parents or Grandparents had... History Learned!!
Great body work.
That was really cool. ❤
The best feeling of all time is to save a classic car and give it another chance. This is my dream job
Beautiful car!!!
This wagon is a beauty.
Great video
Very cool!
Te quedo muy bonita tu camioneta, Felicidades. Saludos desde Houston TX.
Great project!
Nossa são todos lindos amo carros clássicos dessa época
Great!
COOL!
nice touch with the mexican blanket
Iam a big hug fun 🎉🎉🎉
All old cars should be saved. At least returned to drivers or used as parts cars to build drivers. Too many cars have already been wasted and destroyed. Save every one you can find
Exactly my opinion too!
great restorarion....i like de Mexican blanket😂...well done sr...be blessed
Very nice
Love the wagon i have one here but not restored. I wish it could be. I haven't found another one around here to get any parts. Seen alot of other galaxies and wagons in that yard that i wish i had. Glad the 62 got saved.
Felicidades muy buen trabajo para un hermoso auto. Reciban un cordial saludo desde México. Df
Ready for a car show
nice
Ficou Show.....
New sub! Liked
I need to let these folks do the restoration thing on my ‘62 Galaxie and my ‘63 F-100. They’re not in bad shape by any means but both could use some TLC to bring them back to their former glory.
How long did it take to restore it, and how much would that translate to invested 💵 ?
I OWN A 61 RANCHWAGON MYSELF. NICE 60. SHOULD SHOW THE SAME CAR THRU-OUT
Hi how are you doing 😊
This is dope to witness. My big question would be on the price tag; I wonder how much something like this costs?
LIKE THE 292 Y BLOCK IN IT
And that's how you 🍀get R done😎✌️
Wohhh
I don't understand? The one you polished was a 1960, the one you restored is a 62?
You can see the wagon goes from 2 door to 4 door, and the rear lights/bumper/whole rear end change. Its a different car.
Merecen ser rescatados,,iconos de l industria automotris
My dad bought an Aqua or Ming green '62 Country sedan new at Bielfield Ford in Detroit, had it until '74 with well over 100K and drove it to the junk yard. Not bad for a 292 V8 2bbl. I offered to buy it but he said it was rusted too bad to repair. Michigan winters with salted roads messed up a lot of good cars back then. Great memories though.
Have you found a 2 door 1951 Plymouth Cambridge yeat
👍👍👍👍
A few months ago I bought a 1977 Ford LTD Base Model with just under 30,000 miles that looked good on the internet with slightly fuzzy video.
It sat in the sun for a few years, and as such after a few rain storms the WD-40 shine got washed away. My main issue is the door and window seals are dry rotted and need to be replaced.
It needs a few other things like the chrome trim that wraps around the fenders for example.
I cannot find parts for my car anywhere on the internet including those websites that sell parts for classic Fords.
Am I screwed, or is there a website that I can go to where I can actually get the parts that I need?
You can try going to junkyards they have a lot of classics at some of them but don't expect to find the seals since they will likely be rotted away on the junk cars to but the crome you probably could find
Did you happen to save the V8 period correct engine or did you put something
else?
One question, how can you drive it confidently if it has no papers? Been wondering for a long time now
2:12 now this is the definition of "sketchy"
What is the name of the place that sales those cars
He ended up showing us a different model year than the one he started out with. What's that about???
You can see the wagon goes from 2 door to 4 door, and the rear lights/bumper/whole rear end change. Its a different car.
BLACK 59 FORD WOULD BE COOL
I would like to do the same too😭
I want to make it easier for people who find abandoned cars in the woods to get them titled across the nation.
Watch me restore tons of rare classic cars
OK - but the car you found in a field in Midland Texas is a 2 door Ford Ranch Wagon. But later when you show it at McPherson college, it's a 4 door Ford station wagon. So it's not the same car. Please explain.
OK - the 4 door wagon says it's a Country Sedan. So it's definitely not the same car as the one in the field. It's the same year and same color, but it's not the same car.
Hii
I, m from India..your location and this car godown
One of my favorite episodes from @hagerty
1:10 this is not the car that has been restored
Why are there two different cars? The one is the junkyard is a 1960, but the one that they show restoring is a 1962. The entire car looks completely different.
Thank you for not putting 30" GHETTO PIMPMOBILE REEHUUMS on it, or a computer motor in it. So many classic cars are ruined that way.
Amen
In my opinion classic cars and various antiques like pre-1990 tech needs legal protections like old buildings have. A lot of it goes to waste because of people who don't know what they have
In my opinion 1960's muscle cars, classic pickup trucks from the late 1950's-1998, Mustangs from 1964-1993, Broncos from 1978-1996, square body chevy's from 1973-1991, OBS Chevy's and OBS fords, Dodge Ram power wagons from 1973-1993, 1980's Buick Grand Nationals and Monte Carlos, Box chevy Caprices, Crown Victoria p71's from 1998-2011 are very desirable.
That’s a completely different car !
You can see the wagon goes from 2 door to 4 door, and the rear lights/bumper/whole rear end change. Its a different car.
Cool, but something is off, it´s not even the same car! Or am I crazy?
It's the same car on the forklift at the start, in the garage and on the road at the end. The other car, the two-door wagon, seems to serve as an illustration, the four-door had to be removed before the filming session 😉
WHY These SUeprcool videos are only 4 minutes short? :( They should be 40 mins long :(
Cool story, Shame its fake.
You can see the wagon goes from 2 door to 4 door, and the rear lights/bumper/whole rear end change. Its a different car.
This guy should be ashamed of himself letting all those cars sit outside in the elements. That's not a collector, that's a hoarder with a car problem.
What should he do build a 30 million dollar warehouse for a field of junk cars? These cars are there because someone didn't want them and they sat that long because nobody wanted them and most are gonna continue sitting because nobody will want them.
what are the elements gonna do to those cars if they’re already in need of a restoration? it’s best that they sit in a gravel field away from grass or anything that could help continue any rot until someone wants to do something with it so… relax.
Keep them alive
Not the same car? Confused
But it wasn't the same car you were waxing on
Sadly soon all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-(
In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!!! (BABBVEN LAWS AND TEBBVEN ORDERS)
In the UK the plan is to ban the sale of new internal combustion engines in eight years time (2030) but I see nowhere anything about complete bans after that here - so presumably there will still be plenty of i/c cars, vans and trucks on the roads here into the 2040s. However, we do have strict emissions controls and zones with more ULEV (Ultra low emission vehicle) areas planned, monitored by camera and computer, where only such vehicles may be driven. And punitive road tax for polluting vehicles too.
@@frglee This stuff is criminal. How can we let our politicians get away with this crap?
Midwest people are spoiled. In the north east we're not so lucky it'll just buff out and need some mechanical work. We're doing God's work over here.
2 door to a 4 door ???????
It's the same car on the forklift at the start, in the garage and on the road at the end. The other car, the two-door wagon, seems to serve as an illustration, the four-door had to be removed before the filming session 😉
i stil love it the wagons
I saw these episodes in context and there was plenty of footage to do it right. Someone just doesn’t know what they’re looking at and got two cars confused.
That's not the same car the first one had 2 doors now he has a 4 door wagon child bye lies he tell
Take it back the car you were waxing on was not the same wagon you were looking at to start with.
can restored as Tesla LOL
I personally don't like such big boxes
I personally don’t like today’s ugly piece of crap cars. Wouldn’t loose too much sleep if ALL modern cars were suddenly gone tomorrow since cars lack soul and character (much like the people who own and drive modern vehicles) and can’t tell them apart.
@@seana806 my poor Toyota Corolla doesn't deserve this slander
@@AMNESIAA_ I’d choose walking over driving a Toyota or Honda. Life’s too short for boring cars.
