I would personally have preferred a video of the rebuild of the 61 Impala from start to finish.
AMEN BROTHER
Yeah, I trusted the title too... WTF ...
I think what you want to live in is your business.
Yeah but unfortunately
Completely agree
So glad they are showing Red Sled build... I’m building a ‘63 Impala and this is great inspiration!
Don't ruin yours with crappy bags and keep it analog.

Man about 30 years ago I owned a 63 ss impala. Still one of my favorite
I spent 4+ years rebuilding a 1960 Chevrolet Impala 4 Door Sedan. I guess it is easy when you have many people, unlimited budget and easy access to parts and services.
Amen to that!
The way the editing is makes me feel like I’m watching a early to mid 2000’s car show
The copyright at the end says 2008
Love the idea of an updated Bandit car.
The LeMans is beautiful.
Rust and rat droppings, the joys of restorations
Glad to see this can brought back. They deserve to live for ever. I have a 67 impala convertable. When cars were built right.
I just picked up a 66 today
I bet neither one of you have a factory x frame.
I had a triple black 67’ with bucket seats. Only had the 283 but a very nice car. You would have liked it. Keystone rims and a red pinstripe. Rebuilt the suspension I mean everything in it including the steering even if it was in good condition I changed it uppers lowers control arms , tie rids you name it a new center link , shocks , it rode and drove like brand new steer it one finger at 80 mph. Good brakes too lol
@@dontellgucci1117 I just dis the same thing to the one. I have. Took me about 3 month but it drives just like you say. Like a caddy lol. Can get enough. Sounds like a very cool car.
I had one of these cars when I was in high school, it had a 348 4bbl, and 4 speed, I put a posi traction with 3.89:1 gears in the rear, and I never lost a street race....EVER. it was the fastest true street car on west Colfax.
No cussing, screaming about deadlines,i like this
HEY! Pay attention when you remove the front seat of any old car. You just might find the "build sheet" that followed the car down the assembly line, giving you all the options on that car.
Rare, indeed. When you started the video, I thought it was actually a Bel Air.
Back in the sixties, when a '61 Chevy was a common sight, I remember only one time seeing a two-door sedan Impala.
Love these early 60s Impalas. Amazing styling!
These guys got all the critical ingredients...Talent, Energy, Motivation
Everything god forgot to add into my recipe
No gods. Your on your own. Okay though life's great on its own.
I’ve been in a 10yr process of rebuilding a 61 Biscayne 2dr hard top. Going with tuxedo black on black w/ steel wheels and dog dish hub caps. Was able to tuck a 10.5” street slick. Powered by a Motown 427 backed by a Tremec 6speed and 4:10s. Can’t wait to hit the street!
15:45 It's a great feeling when all of Lou's hard work pays off.
yes.
Great job on the Lemans! I've been anticipating every episode. FINALLY it's done. Awesome!
Imma call that Lou's Car! cos Big, Bad, Loud, and Beautiful! and the car is too... lol,
lucky for you guys they did make plenty of 4 door 61 chevys, but a bunch went to the crusher.
Red Sled has been done for YEARS and is sitting in the Coker Tire headquarters showroom...
this was my favorite year of the impalas. damn almost had a convertible one in the early 80's
Gotta leave a comment no matter what they do or not do I've got all original 1961 biscayne straight 6.with the optional oil filter....yeah it doesnt have a oil filter I have the kit to install one but it came from the factory without one.its got 35k miles on it I change change the oil every 1000 miles.my dad bought it brand new and I got it off him in 96.still runs strong.
Dude love the episodes where you take a beat to hell old piece of history and take apart and restore it.goose bumps. But I wish you guys would restore completely to orginal with maybe just a sick as motor. 👍
My favorite body styles were 1960 and 1962. I dated a guy with a new black with red interior 1962 impala. Beautiful and great ride.
the car is completely rusted and misshaped and the guy says:
This doesn't look so bad!
that what I call positive mental attitude!
The LeMans turned out great. Love it. Ready to get into that Chevy
"the body trim and interior will stay true to the original" But we're going to ruin the rest of this rare one year only car!
Buy your own.. make it your own. Making body changes each year used to be the norm. Name a Chevy/bodystyle in the 50's that was the same as the previous year. None.
Speaking of body changes was anybody else horrified that they drilled cut and welded on that freshly painted fender because I don't see why they could not have just used a paintless fender roller?
I like your great job for rescuing the very vintage cars I appreciate your care
As for a custom touch on a 61 Impala i took and cut the end of the quarters off a 76 Camaro and then frenched them into my 61 rear tail panel/trunk. Was made to work.
My absolute favorite Impala. I'm glad you saved it.
On a quiet night you can hear a Chevy rust.........the color combo on the Tempest is absolutely super! I'm not sure why destroying your back tires is the "in" thing but I'm not rich enough to do that.....I'd like the see the excessive burnouts, wide-body cars, and "patina" (read old shit) paint jobs go out of style.... Oh, yeah, the cartoon wheels and rubber band tires on some of these rigs are ridiculous....run over a cigarette butt and ruin your rims. I'm sure I run against the grain here but I'm 100% function over bling.
Excessive burnouts will never go out of style.
@@bigboreracing356 About right! LOL
Hey guys beautiful work from stat to end. From God's hands to your hands may he continue to bless all of you and the business because that's what he do make the dead alive. Love you guys. Mike
I was all stoked they were doing the car up and then they unveiled the “plans”...... ew. Put it back to mostly stock with the 409, leave it white, do a red interior, and put some stock wheels and tires on it and give it a slight rake. No need to go 1990s street rod.
Agreed...I stopped watching when they said what their plans were....no thanks.
With that amount of rust damage, I would be scared to put it up on a lift for fear it not be able survive the stress.
I don't think anyone realizes this series is like 10 years old
They are resurrecting a REAL car like the ones I maintained as a kid with nothing but a Motors Manual and a small box of tools . . . so no, I didn't notice !
perfectly aware thank you
I knew it had to be old when the started on about the Bandit.
try 20. 61+20=2001
Kurt Elliott uh, Smokey and the bandit was filmed in 77.... how old did you think this was? 😂
Am I the only one who feels like this show doesn't give us enough audio once it comes to engine revving??
HP, please cut the music and give us some raw V8 audio for at least those crucial five seconds!!
Isaiah McKeown-Philip maybe the mufflers are too quiet?
I've always loved these shows and I agree. No music, let the engine roar so we can all enjoy the sound.
every time i hear : out with the old in with the new
i remember chrisfix ❤️
Saw one on a used car once
Had original 409 and 4 sp trans
Somebody had used it up real fast in the days
Sometime i was think to restored old car... Then i clean up the rust with sand blasting, then the car disappear... Lol
Brake Torquin' is ALWAYS fun when somebody else is buyin the tires!!!!!
Cool, it only takes 17 min to restore and old rusty impala. That gives me hope that I can do it
Love that Lemans!! the 61 Chevy gonna be nice too!!
Man a full rebuild vid would be awesome. I have a rusted 63 impala that was my grandfathers I am about to tackle
I love the shot of them just kicking the bumper
1943 quarter is solid silver!!!!!!1943 Quarter Value. $2.99 is the minimum 1943 quarter value. It is the underlining silver price moving your coin to this level. If yours is the "D" or "S" mint mark issue, and "Uncirculated", it is now worth in the $28 to $30 range
Dad had a 61 Impala SS with a 409. Sold it before I could get my hands on it. Probably a good thing.
OMG!!!!! That my favorite Impala! God that car has character!
1961 Ford Falcon for me too. 1957 Chevy great. 61 Chevy great thanks.
Great car. My parents had a 4 door “61” Chevy. The finished video is on the PowerNation TV web site, MuscleCar Show S6,E1. I couldn’t find it on UA-cam.
I had a 1961 Convertible in 1962. Just before enlisting in the USAF to avoid the draft.
The headlights on the Le Mans are hooked up wrong. The top light should be illuminated when the low beams are operating.
They should name this video "Tearing Apart a '61 Chevy Impala Before Giving It a New Set of Sideburns"
That impala is considered solid here in new england!
I love Impalas. I have a 63 SS and a 65 Convertable and a 95 SS and 2001. I really want a 60 though. 61 is a great one too.
Appraiser forgot the terrible gaps between trunk lid and body.
I was thinking the same thing. Rear window was really rough!
Im glad Im not the only one to notice
Left and right side chrome is missing above the tail lights ( on quarter panels) but you see them installing the chrome on the trunk it looks stupid on there without the end pieces.
The change in the back seat wasn’t left there from riding around drinking beer and throwing it in the back seat. I am surprised you didn’t find an earring back there also.
Do you have on UA-cam the red sled other than this one here. I mean I'm not really a GM fan but I like that car. And I saw the tear down and I don't remember seeing anything else be nice to see the whole thing beginning to end
My first car was a 61 Chevy. I learned at five a manual in it when I was 13. Our rear seat floor rusted out in less than 10 years.
Wish you would do my 1965 fairlane 500 next . It runs , and I drive it , but could use some help .
12:02 Was it hand painted to look like a decal? I see edges.
It was a prototype. The production cars have hand painted decals dude...
One of the best design ever.
The more we looked at it the more we tried to avoid it.😂
Anything can be saved if you have money!
Yes sir. Money, time & tools!
Dad had one of those, I don't know what became of it but I hope someone preserved it.
That bandit is my dream car
that front clip is repairable, take out the old put on the new. while your at it, build a full body
frame for it. those old chevs were known for being ripped in 2.
My first car was a '61 Chev Biscayne but it ended up with the same floor your Impala has.
My favourite channel
If Boyd Coddington was still alive and still in business I'd have him and his crew build it there way but a powerful LS swap would be mandatory. Always liked Boyd's touch.
Man, there ain't nothing on that Impala that is to hard to fix or replace. It's an Impala for heavens sake. Not some weird obscure Euro car that never released in the US. Those fenders are like $170 each, Rear lowers are $70 each, a full floor pan (minus bracing) is $400, rear quarter windows are $50, and the trunk floor is $80 for new manufactured ones from impalas.com.
Will there be a full build video for this?
Just within the first 5 minutes two wife slams had already been made.
Why did this pop in my recommendations after watching Hollow Creek! If that ain’t spying I don’t know what is.
Wow! What a great show! where is part two of the Impala?
See reds the color.it would look good black with all the chrome and stainless but that's just my opinion. Also for rims crager ss deep dish would be killer.
They make it look so easy!
Is power nation still on the air ?
I noticed on the Pontiac, the rust pits still in the glass area of the body ,that look painted over and were never filled or repaired ! Not good !
Heck yes, that can buff out and sprayed clear to keep the patina.
Way undervalued this car!
Second car looked amazing!
Do you have a full video to install a deluxe ac / heater on a 1961 Chevy impala,
A car like that would be fitting for me as I am living in Bert Reynolds Childhood home in Lansing Michigan.
I'm very proud of you guys !!
Questions what do you do with the. Motor an manual transmission out these car or truck thank👍
These shows make things look unrealistic if you have endless income to build a car you can do anything and when you go around and you find a pretty solid car to start with makes the big difference and have eight guys behind the scenes working on it
Impalas are worth the money!
I see what you guys are doing here, holy shit this is a big project, very cool
Did Pontiac not use rubber gaskets on their door handles?
These guys edit the video to make it look like a car goes together that easy without yelling at some dumb part that wont go on perfect 🤣🤣🤣
Looks like a tv show
That penny is jukebox money that you wouldve used down at the Loveshack had it not been lost between the seats.
You can find all the car parts on .truck and carshop.orange california
What I don't understand is why they took out that motor and got rid of it when that car in that motor are matching numbers you can tell that that motor was the original motor that was in it when it was first built crazy that car would have been worth a whole lot more if they would just rebuilt the original motor and put it back in the car
Man I love those flattops
Any car can be restored but it depends on How Much money and time you’re willing to invest. I had a 1968 Dodge Dart GTS Convertible that I had restored. The car was SO ROTTON that I spent my Entire budget of 35 Thousand Dollars and only got back a Painted Rolling Chassis.
Beautiful trans am
Looks like you took the car for a drive without insurance anyway, also the trunk doesn't look like it's lined up on the Le mans.
Put a sandwich bag on that rear trans seal to NOT make a mess of your floor
Beautiful work!
u could make custom light covers to a dashboard with 3d printer
Where's Lou at he put alot of work in that car man
Go back 13 years and ask him...
283 was a awesome engine
