Now imagine you wrote a song together and played it hundreds of times live, singing the same song everytime but moving further and further from the original state of your relationship and eventually realizing that it will never be the same again. A snapshot in her life with Alexander that was pure. A point in time neither of them can ever return to again. It's like watching pure drama / romance / tragedy all at the same time. Her voice is simply transcendent. I hope she reads this somewhere sometime. Her song will always be in my Pantheon of good music!

I was 18 when this song came out. I’m pushing 30 now. Crazy how fast time goes by. This song reminds me of being young and carefree. It makes me reminisce about past loves I had at the time, my ignorance to the world (I miss it) and how much easier life back then felt. It makes me wish times were simple again without everything crazy going on in the world right now. It’s so bizarre how coming back to hear songs like this from that period in my life brings up so many emotions. Powerful how one song can do that. Peace and love to anyone reading this
I think I should say that a lot of hippies are prejudiced. Many think that if you are not like them, you are against their ideologies. I am not a pacifist myself and I feel pity towards them, because many of them also sincerely wish the world were different. Unfortunately this will never be possible.
I lived the 'hippy life' for many years when I was younger. I lived as a 'new age traveller' and did the India backpackers scene. Over time, I came to realise what a judgemental scene it can be. Some of the most closed-minded, blinkered and prejudiced people I have ever had the misfortune to meet were so-called hippies. We even had a name for them - rainbow nazis.

I knew this song from back when I was in middle school and found it again not so long ago, thought it was a wonderful love song, actually one of my favourite with Today by Jefferson Airplane. Well, i listen to this song on Spotify on daily basis for a long time. I never played any video or searched something about the band. But this is actually exactly how I've imagined them to look like
I love this band and song. But I believe this was a few months before Jade left/was kicked from the group. You can see the tension between her and Alex and its sad when you compare it to the passion they had when performing this song within the first few years it was out.

I follow her on instagram (maryjade143 - yes its actually her!) and she seems to be doing ok. Shes been performing with some other bands doing different music, which I think she enjoys a lot. Doesn't help that people still talk about that incident in the comments though... Jade is a huge inspiration for me and I think above anything else, I'm just glad shes happy again tbh.

This is utterly sad.
I knew this song from back when I was in middle school and found it again not so long ago, thought it was a wonderful love song, actually one of my favourite with Today by Jefferson Airplane. It breaks my heart to read that the both of them ended up in breaking up in such sad conditions. I felt that they were a bit sad and embarassed in this video so I checked up in the comments.
I still like to think that their passed love created a very beautiful song that many other lovers will be able to identify themselves to, and that's the beauty of music in a way.

Everyone is saying how they aspire to be Jade here because of how carefree and happy she looks here. But I don’t think that happiness didn’t come unaided if you catch what I’m saying. It just makes me sad to watch them all see her fade away like this

Well, i listen to this song on Spotify on daily basis for a long time. I never played any video or searched something about the band. But this is actually exactly how I've imagined them to look like

I love this band and song. But I believe this was a few months before Jade left/was kicked from the group. You can see the tension between her and Alex and its sad when you compare it to the passion they had when performing this song within the first few years it was out.
+Judy the Terrier I noticed the tension as well. It is really upsetting. I've been living under a rock for a little while. I had no idea she was even kicked out of the band until today :(.

I think it was reported that she left of her own accord in the end... I agree though, regardless of what happened it was extremely sad to see so much tension between them near the end :(
The needy ESatMZ fan in me wants to get whiny about how she left, because Jade really did add something special to the band... But, like others said, it must have been really hard to sing happy songs about a passionate love that just isn't there anymore. I follow her on instagram (maryjade143 - yes its actually her!) and she seems to be doing ok. Shes been performing with some other bands doing different music, which I think she enjoys a lot. Doesn't help that people still talk about that incident in the comments though... Jade is a huge inspiration for me and I think above anything else, I'm just glad shes happy again tbh.

I watched the video before looking at the comments and I thought he looked at her with a sense of love. But now that I read this and re-watched the video, it seems like there's that tension, ask you speak off -- as if a tension/melancholiness at love lost.
