I saw them live for the first time a couple of months ago. I waited outside by their buses to meet the band afterwards and they were all very nice. Jade came out last - I ended up waiting for about two hours to meet her. When she came out and saw the last few of us remaining outside, she came up to me and saw how cold I was and instantly put her scarf around me, gave me a huge hug, and thanked me. Jade is definitely a very, very happy and blessed person.
Got pretty excited for a moment thinking they were back together since you mentioned you saw them all together, Jade included, a couple of months ago. Then I saw your comment is 9 years old 😢
This whole set is a musical masterpiece. Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros were magical when they were together, I was so sad when I found out they broke up. I keep coming back to listen to "I Don't Want to Pray" and "Child" ... even after 9-10 years. Absolutely beautiful music.
The interviews are fun the first few times, but I keep coming back for the music, which starts at: Man on Fire: 0:46 I Don't Want to Pray: 5:51 Child: 13:05 Mother: 17:36
Do you know this feeling that you want to listed the same songs over and over again....I just don`t get enough of them. Makes me want to travel again and share love
I hope everyone in the world finds friends who are as close as these people are. And clearly, having friends of this magnitude leads to beautiful things.
Sitting in a cafe last Friday I found myself liking each song that was played over the PA. When I asked the staff who was playing, they said it was all Edward Sharpe. I am hooked. It is so lovely to hear great singing and Real instruments being played.
That song Mother made me cry. So tender and beautiful. There's not many bands where I can say I love every song they write but it's true with these guys.
11:38 😱wow! I’m from Bogalusa, Louisiana! We are such a small, rural area I totally would have never expected to hear anyone say that. Bogalusa doesn’t have very much to offer but we do have a pretty amazing studio with a lot of history behind it.
i actually put this on in my class today and the mood just changed everybody got happy and got lots energy. ussually they listen to rap and Hip Hop, things good music can do
Try...errr let's see. Start with The Be Good Tanya's- Littlest Birds..then you can grow up to Kate Bush, Sandy Denny, Indigo Girls etc etc etc...now thems some goosebumps...
Sometimes when I down and out I go to a bar and end out leaving more depressed then when I walked in. But this band always comes through in picking me up, putting me in a good place.
When I first heard "I don't wanna' pray" on the radio I thought it was a advert song about a car and he was singing "I love my car" so I turned it off at the beginning cause I didn't want to hear about how much a guy loves his car that he wants you to buy. But then I heard "home", loved it and bought the album. Then realised hey they sing that "car" song. Found out it was "God" and wasn't a song trying to sell a car, so then I liked it.
my favourite version of Man on Fire, easy bridge (didgeridoo difficult to replicate) and second part without singing an octave higher as in more recent versions
Essa banda é incrível! Apesar da quantidade de músicos, que não me incomoda, todos se entendem e fazem um som que se encaixa numa harmonia absurda e apaixonante.
There's a purpose and reason for everyone of these people to be there. Everyone knows a special instrument and can contribute to the music. Hipsters don't play music with soul and feeling.
Every Video i watch the people told me, at what time i find the track i want to watch...and here? I have to search. That tells me that i have found a very good place.
His explanation of why and how we wrote this song other videos is amazing- his thought process is very extensive, yet so carefree. I love the idea of this band, what they represent and they make some kick ass tunes
there nit enough view !!! i kwon your band since 2010 , i discover you during my travel accross north america. sorry but i just discocver lots off magic stuff you make " mother " , every part of you is another part of me " so much emotion !!!!!!!!!!!!!! i hope you always be eternal! french kiss from bierville

You're a fucking creep, lad. Just go home. Jade has no issues with you. Nor do you know if she is or isn't blessed.

@@perderlaprisa haha same here man 😂

every performance that happens there is amazing.
00:44 *Man on fire.*
05:57 *I don't wanna pray.*
13:07 *Child.*
17:39 *Mother.*
"sometimes the easier relationships in life are the ones that are easier also to take for granted"
Jade's voice is amazing
"Man on fire" this time was even much better than their originals.
found this band yesterday, binge watches this performance all day today
Everytime the bell goes off in Man on Fire in the chorus I think my downloads are complete.
The interviews are fun the first few times, but I keep coming back for the music, which starts at:
Man on Fire: 0:46
I Don't Want to Pray: 5:51
Child: 13:05
Mother: 17:36
Thx man
This band is on another level... They just give off an awesome vibe all around...
Seeing this is beautiful. To see the sincere smiles, the love for what they're doing, the unity, the kindness. Truly a wonderful sight.
there's something very captivating about this band…no matter which song they're singing.
Love this band. Great to see some real soul happening.
I too!;)
Do you know this feeling that you want to listed the same songs over and over again....I just don`t get enough of them. Makes me want to travel again and share love
What a beautiful musical collaboration. I loved this union so much. Grateful their music lives on forever.
I hope everyone in the world finds friends who are as close as these people are. And clearly, having friends of this magnitude leads to beautiful things.
Especially when those friends are named LSD and Heroin.
seadiscdhs ay man just because I call this band "Drugs: The Musical" it doesn't mean I'm any less of a fan
There are very few groups that give me the enjoyment that this group does.
"Twelve is the number, yeah." I love the vibe thoroughly.
I just love this band. Everything about them is great. Really brings me back to a happier time. Can't explain it.

I don't want to pray and I don't want to stop listening to this song on repeat.
I'm discovering them! I'm just stunned!!! They're amaaaaaaazing! I just fell in Love!
Jade was the catalyst that separated this band from others like it. She took them to another level. All good things come to an end
Why

@@atlasfilms5305 So were many great musicians...
@@atlasfilms5305 Well she looks healthier than Elvis did when he was selling out Vegas 75 - 77...

There is no one in this band named Edward Sharpe
Sweet lord, it was a JOKE!
Mike Petruske funny...........
I would give so much to perform on kexp. It looks like it'd be the coolest thing in the world.
That song Mother made me cry. So tender and beautiful. There's not many bands where I can say I love every song they write but it's true with these guys.
Wow, first time I saw a vid of them all playing. That was wonderful to witness just now.
How can you be so cool and so sweet at the same time? Great artists, wow.
I think its a miracle and at the same time a shame this band is forgotten in many ways. At lease we know where to find the worthwhile music :) peace
too much amazingness in one video
we miss you jade 😭😔

One of the few female singers to actually give me goosebumps, soulful!
+Alex Curtis Try London Grammer :)
agree completely (but that's a bit yawn at the beginning)
she's amazing live
Try...errr let's see. Start with The Be Good Tanya's- Littlest Birds..then you can grow up to Kate Bush, Sandy Denny, Indigo Girls etc etc etc...now thems some goosebumps...

One of the first 👏🏻👏🏻 wow I want in that special. Thanks to all those beautiful gifts feels love 💕
This is really nice! They seem like pretty laid back people. I want to hang out with them!
My mom got to hang out with them for a whole weekend. I was so jealous.
Sometimes when I down and out I go to a bar and end out leaving more depressed then when I walked in. But this band always comes through in picking me up, putting me in a good place.
A gaggle of freaking musical madmen (and jade your voice is bewitching) also no sound check needed mind-blowing!
MY BEST CONCERT ON KEXP
who cares about their appearance.... they are actually making good music, something that doesn't happen too often anymore..... enjoy it !!
What's wrong with their appearance? Who even said anything?..
christ they give me shivers up and down my spine
so much talent in one video
I saw them live during SXSW last year and it was honestly one of the best shows i've ever been to
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Just Beautiful~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One of the best bands around now.
One of the best concert I've ever seen!! They give hope...
At 03:24 when Alex sings "over heartache and rage" his voice is breaking and I find it most beautiful.
you can just tell that they love making music for the sake of making music. this is awesome
This band is so special it's hard to belive they exist.
This makes me so happy
To me and my heart, was and is my moon Mom. She knows how to speak to me and still loves me everyday. I feel so 🍀
EDWARD SHARPE AND THE MAGNETIC ZEROS, I LOVE YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for sharing life with enthusiasm and passion
It doesn't get any more pure than this. Its good to see music with real musicians (Edward sharp, mumford and sons) making a comeback.
17:40 "Mother" One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard in my WHOLE life.
Love you, mom. ♥♥
Thanks for sharing life with us and we will search for the perfect gift to go on my beautiful fringe partisan
Just have to be one of the most talented group of musicians ever !!!!!
my favourite version of Man on Fire, easy bridge (didgeridoo difficult to replicate) and second part without singing an octave higher as in more recent versions
There's a purpose and reason for everyone of these people to be there. Everyone knows a special instrument and can contribute to the music. Hipsters don't play music with soul and feeling.
Everyone should pray
They are tight, in the literal sense. Jade's voice is rad!
Every Video i watch the people told me, at what time i find the track i want to watch...and here? I have to search. That tells me that i have found a very good place.
It's my first time with them and I can tell you - I'm soooooooo in love!
I saw these lives just for Jade. Missing her. Gracias a mi amor que presento estos musicos.
