Maglev trains are monorails that hover in the air and use a linear motor for propulsion. I doubt that there is a Maglev track from Seoul to Busan. There are only a few Maglev tracks in the world so far.

I read somewhere they have maglev trains in Korea. But thank you for the explanation as I was not sure exactly

@@islandhoppertvhighlights To my knowledge, the only maglev train in Korea circles the island on which Incheon Airport is located. There is a monorail where I live in Daegu, and even that is not a maglev.

With this train not much to dislike since it’s a high quality train by global standards. Would have been nice if they had some food and drink available aside from just the free little cookie box. There may have been a car that sold food I just didn’t see it when I went walking around. Also the train station was super crowded and the online booking system had a lot of flaws as well as the little machines at the station. Which forces people to just wait in a long line to book the ticket when an online booking would be so much easier.

The train from Seoul to Busan is not maglev.

I'm sorry, but that automated ticket booth is not nearly as complicated as you made it out to be. It was already set for Seoul to Busan before you went and fiddled around with it. You ended up changing the setting from "Seoul to Busan" to "Seoul to Seoul". Then, you completely missed Busan on the bottom of the first page. At the end, when it asked you for a number of monthly installments, you don't have to pay the full price upfront. You can set it to pay in installments just like paying for a car. Then when you were looking for a first-class lounge in the station, that was the cringiest part. It is a train station, not an airport.

Okay so how would I have just paid in full? Also it is not uncommon for train stations to have business lounges.

      @@VirtCamPay with a single installment.

Other countries don't have installments. It is odd to most of the world. And Europe has lounges for first class tickets, so does China.
