18 years old forging a Nakiri Knife || Making a japanese chef's knife

  • Here is our own version of a Japanese Nakiri knife made for one of our clients. The blade is forged out of 1095 steel and the handle is made from black walnut, maple wood and thin sheets of copper. 🔪🔥

    oh god.. when you used acetone to clear the excess of the glue off, I smiled so widely. you are literally the first person I've seen who gives a toss about excess glue. when you took the nakago out and removed excess glue before reseating it I was very happy also. :)

    18 year old with all the the tools etc We want and at least 70/80% of us make knives, but we'll done very nice knife I'd be happy with the results

      to be fair, my nakiri gets a lot more use nowadays than my santoku. :) lovely knife.
