- How do we drink coffee when its hot out? Freeze It! This is a delicious and super fast frozen coffee that will impress your friends.
Ingredients:
1-2 Tbls Instant Coffee (or 1/2 C already brewed coffee)
1/4 C Agave, Maple Syrup, or Sugar
Dime size piece of Orange Zest (or 1/4 tsp with zester) (optional)
3-4 C Ice (start with at least 4 cups if using already brewed coffee)
Optional:
1 tsp Vanilla (optional instead of orange zest)
Add 1/4 - 1/2 C Milk of your choice to make this even more creamy and delicious!
Keep in mind: The more liquid you use, the more ice you will need.
Instructions:
Add ingredients into Vitamix in order listed. Place black lid and safety lid plug on the Vitamix container. Start on a low speed. Move dial from Speed 1 up to 10 for a smooth, frozen sorbet. If your Vitamix has a "High" switch, turn it on now. OR, If you have a "Frozen Dessert" preset you may use this instead of the 1-10 and high. Blend with the Black lid on. Remove small clear lid plug and use the tamper stick in the corners to push the mixture into the blades. The sorbet will start to move on its own inside the container and it will turn all one color. Test texture after as 40 seconds of blending and continue blending on high with the lid on if you want a smoother texture. After 60 seconds the speed can begin to melt your dessert. If your Sorbet is too Thin, like a smoothie, add more ice and continue blending on high using the tamper still with the lid on. If your Sorbet is too Thick, like a snow cone texture, add a little more liquid and continue blending on high until it is moving on its own or all one color. You may put extra sorbet in your ice cube trays and freeze sorbet cubes for use in drinks or to re-blend later. Turn off Vitamix and unplug if there is no on/off switch. Use a spatula or spoon to get you Frozen Coffee out! - Навчання та стиль
I like it with a bit of flavored creamer
Thanks, this is so simple. I have a low profile, wide container, and for some reason, doesn't quite work. Adding a half can of coconut cream and diluting instant coffee in an eighth cup of water did the trick.
Excellent. I was surprised to find few demonstrations of iced coffee for the Vitamix online considering how much we drink coffee...thanks for the video :) I added a teaspoon of Torani flavorings in addition to sweetener...yes, I'm bad :D
I wish you were still making videos, I really love your recipes!
Thanks. Have been planning to start up again and expand the scope of this channel
@@youcancookshow okay I think you should myself
I suppose we could also brew the coffee, and freeze them into "ice" cubes. Then use the cubes for making ice cream?
Nice!
I like coffee ☕ 😋 good 👍 😋 delicious
Perfect! Thank you for the recipe.
You are welcome. I am going to start making more videos in this series soon, with other meal prep, cooking videos, and more to come too!
I love the pots rack you have over the sink. Where can I get one?
I don't know if you're still monitoring this, but all I got was a coffee slushie! I never got the mounds. I even added a little almond milk to smooth it out! What did I do wrong??
why did u have to fast forward the video when it did the blending job? that's where need to see the actual thing the most,,
Dude.. why did you quit making videos? You were great at this. You'd have been a huge youtuber by now. You okay?!!
Thanks! Yeah I let this one go for a while, but have plans to make more videos in this series soon with an expanded scope too!
Was that Instant coffee?
Tom, from Blacklist.
Haha, I am kind of shocked by how often people mention I look like him
Well I used yogurt and fruit and mine isn't freezing I had it on for 5 min at speed 10 and kept waiting for those 4 mounds in my 7500 that never came and I had a smoothie. I did one cup yogurt to 2 cups frozen fruit???
I hope you have perfected it by now. 5 Min is too long for a frozen dessert for sure. It should work in less 1 min, or the ratios are likely off. A larger amount of a "liquid" ingredient like yogurt will require more frozen ingredients to work. As an alternative you can freeze the yogurt in an ice-cube trade 24hrs before making and then just use a liquid sweetener or a small amount of unfrozen yogurt so it blends.
This demo would’ve been more useful for those of us without automatic settings if we could have heard the motor, and observed the actual time it took.
Dont have that machine bro
Yeah, after using Vitamix and other high powered blenders for years I have found I actually prefer the manual ones. I like the control. This recipe is super easy in any of the Blend-tec or Vitamix machines though. If you are using a manual one, just start on low and increase the speed to high within a few seconds. Next, crush everything with the tamper just like this shows and within about 20 seconds you should have a frozen dessert! If it comes out liquid you either blended too long, or did not user enough frozen ingredients. If it comes out too frozen/chunky, you used too many frozen ingredients and/or not enough liquid. Takes a few tries to perfect, but is well worth it!
harry potter :)
he's such eye candy, right?
Why not use honey with its health benefits instead of all that sugar!
Agave is a healthy, natural source of Sugar (from the cactus plant ) it's low glycemic and safe for diabetics.. Honey is great but not everyone can tolerate
From experiments I have found that honey gets too hard when mixed with frozen ingredients and does not blend properly. But there are alternatives to Agave including making a home-made simple syrup from your favorite dry sweetener. Syrups do work best though for these recipes.
Instant Coffee. =. Instant. Disgusting 🤮
Lol. In the dessert its not so bad! But yeah, I always make my own coffee when drinking 100%
