I owned a 65 inch Samsung S90C, but returned it for a 65 inch LG C3. I also own a 65 inch LG CX, which I love, a 55 inch LG B3, and I used to own a 65 inch Samsung Q70R. The LG C3 is a better all around TV than the Samsung S90C for the following reasons: 1. The LG C3’s stand is much smaller = more room for soundbar 2. LG’s remote has a change input button for quicker changing of HDMI inputs 3. The LG C3 has better preset TV settings - just set it and forget it on the C3. 4. LG C3 has better, inkier blacks. Yes, the C3 has inkier and deeper blacks than the Samsung S90C! This is in part due to the black and glossy screen of the LG C3 5. LG C3 has more natural motion and less ghosting than the S90C. The only way I could eliminate some mild ghosting on the S90C was to reduce judder to “1,” but then the motion was “choppy” on the S90C with the judder setting set to “0.” The LG C3’s Cinema Movement setting in TruMotion is more pleasing to the eye for me. 6. LG C3 has better overall image processing: more contrast and better depth of image, natural/accurate looking picture and better up scaling than the Samsung S90C 7. Game mode is bright enough 8. Dolby Vision support, even if the difference isn’t that much, there’s a peace of mind knowing that the C3 is more aligned with all the Dolby Vision movies that I have on iTunes. There were firmware update issues with the Samsung S95B. 10. The LG C3 has better build quality than the Samsung S90C, especially on the rear housing that holds the HDMI ports. 11. LG has easier to access HDMI inputs. On the C3 all 4 HDMI ports are all lined up on the left side facing outward, whereas on the S90C 2 of the ports are facing to the right and the other 2 are facing downwards and aren’t as reachable. 12. The LG C3 has better build quality than the S90C. The housing behind the C3 feels sturdier and more thoughtful along with the HDMI placement. 13. The Samsung S90C may have an issue with their anti-screen reflective coating where if you try to clean the screen, the coating comes off leaving a bad blotchy discoloration on the screen. 14. The Samsung S90C is unwatchable in direct sunlight! The one thing that’s bugging me about the S95c is the lack of picture options and I don’t think it upscales particularly well, but I’m still getting used to it. Panel is so clean though.
Just got the 65inch C3 to replace my legendary C1 my brother. I know I said I was done with buying tv's but I got a deal I couldnt pass up. My new C3 has big shoes to fill.
I bought a 75 inch vizio in the pandemic then last month i came home from work cut it on and a red line was running down the middle of it . Time for a new tv so i thought to myself i want a lg oled i checked the prices at best buy and they were way cheaper than they use to be. I bought the 77 inch c3 lg oled and it blows me away every time i turn it on the better the content the better it performs. This tv is a beast its the first oled ive ever owned you can drown in the blacks and darks and colors pop loud and clear . The tv is like a rembrandt painting a true work of art . All tvs should have a oled screen theres nothing like it . Other tv tech can get close but fall off after a while. That ole vizio couldnt handle action scenes to good it would have motion blur and dirty screen in bright scenes . This oled is almost flawless its art.........
I absolutely love all of the customization and personalization settings, I’m in the market and have been waiting for this video for quite some time because I was going to get the 77” C2 but I really wanted a detailed beautiful review of this tv like this one thank you and after this it’s harder for me now to choose the C2 simply because of all the settings not so much the picture quality.
I hear ya Nuke! The customization and processing really makes the difference this year. Those new features really help tailor that experience. I'm glad you enjoyed and thank you for watching
Hi Brian, I know you bought the A80L for personal use. Awesome videos and channel. I am stuck trying to decide between A80L and C3. When I see the C3 and A80L side by side, I feel C3 colours are a bit off, oversaturated, not sure if they can be adjusted to look more like Sony. They don’t look real. However, the A80L is great but anything white seems to look blueish, almost as the TV has a blue/cyan tint. No white seem to look white. But I like how everything looks 3D in the Sony. My tv is in bright living room with somewhat controlled light. I mostly use it at night for movies/streaming. Size is 83. What do you recommend C3 or A80 for me?
How does it look with high bit content? I am talking about 4k on youtube. I know that UA-cam's 4k is not the best but I do watch a lot of content on UA-cam.
The fun and interesting thing the first ever made oled TV was manufactured and working till this day and I'm not talking abouts 2010+ they later sold it to LG. Sony XEL-1 Manufacturing of small molecule OLEDs was started in 1997 by Pioneer Corporation, followed by TDK in 2001 and Samsung-NEC Mobile Display (SNMD), which later became one of the world's largest OLED display manufacturers - Samsung Display, in 2002. The Sony XEL-1, released in 2007, was the first OLED television This TV cost a lot
Yes and it's very small if we are talking about the same thing. If you watch my interview with Sony’s Rob Brennan he actually has one and shows it on camera.
This C3 has an unbelievable picture and the idea seems crazy that you'll be able to see more clarity than this! Our eyes can only perceive so much increase in clarity, perception... And that's with corrected vision with me! So with my lower viewing environment having no windows I'm thinking the 83" C3 will benefit us more in value 💰🤔💭? Thx again Brian and I hope you and your family enjoy your vacation! 💥
Hello Eric! Tye C3 is excellent and will most likely be a good value as the year goes on. But at 83" is where it will really show it's value as other than the G3 there is no 83" QD-OLED. Sounds like a great pick for you. Vacation was also great ! Thank you for asking
I’m going from C9 65 inch to the C3 77 inch this Wednesday. I wanted the G3 but I couldn’t justify the extra $1,000 cost in my mind. Got the C3 at BestBuy for $2,380. I took the $120 certificate instead of 24 month financing. Also, sold my used C9 for $475. So not bad if you consider that tv is almost 5 years old.
This is a great video so far, 5 min in almost, but I’d really like to see a breakdown of what the C3 offers over the B3. Supposedly brighter, better ports, etc, I’ve looked into both TVs, but I’d like to hear a human give their real thoughts, what they think about the differences… maybe show some brightness comparisons, etc
I am confused between LGC3 and Sony A80L. Please suggest. For use in my living room, it has natural light, and I will be watching mixed content on Tata Sky like News, Tv shows, Sports and OTT content. Viewing distance 8 feet, plan to get 55 inch size. Also, what about Samsung S90C. I'm very confused between these three. Will OLED be safe on Tata Play (Sky) with that logo constantly on screen.
Sorry Brian to Bother you. I m writing from Italy. Have followed you For long time and thanks to Your suggestions (and those of AVS forum) we bought few monthes ago a 55 A80k and we are very happy. A mouth ago we bought an LG c2 42 For our bedroom. As you seems suggest in comments below c3 is better than c2. Should we return the c2 For a 42 c3? In 42 inches size the differences do matter between c2 and c3?
Vincent also pointed out a lot of flaws with S90C. Motion interpolation issues and the low bit content processing is worse compared to LG OLEDs. I believe for HDR S90C would be more impactful.
No the 83 g3 will still have the heatsink and will be slightly brighter than last years G2. So while it won't have MLA expect it will still be brighter. Hope this helps
The C8 was very good. Very saturated and perfect blacks. But in the blacks all detail was lost . The biggest difference you'll see is superior shadow detail and much better picture processing. Please follow up and let me know what you think. Thank you for watching
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY I did bought the Samsung 77S93C today, was not plan to but I could get a good deal for it over here, and I never had a Samsung TV so I am going to try it out.
Picture doesn’t ever dim if you’re scrolling through menus fyi. It is rather annoying when your watching actual content and the image dims to where it’s almost gone.
I would say I like the settings and new picture set up on the C3 . However until I compare them next week side by side I can't say for sure. Stay tuned and thank you for watching
Which one you prefer, and you think better, is it LG C3 or Sony A80K? Sadly, the Sony A80K is the highest series of sony product in my country, and the price for 55 inch are at the same price with LG C3..
I’m new to lg oled im coming from a roku 4k tv I would get the g3 but it’s too expensive for someone that’s new to lg is the lg c3 a good start I been keeping my eye on the c3 for a while i been thinking about getting it next month.
I think the lg c3 is going to impress people due to the new processor. If it is similar to the a90k processor I had seen (low nits oled but perceive highlights made it look bright)..Upscaling was a bit behind last year compared to competition so this one is looking great for that and motion if similar to g2 is going to be great as well
Damn Whisper … Im ready to buy a top oled Samsung, Sony or lg .. had my heart set on 77 G3 … saw your comparison on g3 vs c3.. now I’m considering ordering the C3 83 “ inch .. damn …
Oops, sorry! The 83" size is phenomenal, and as good as the MLA G3 is as well as QD-OLED, they simply can not grow larger. So if you need that size 77" won't cut it. That said I'd wait a month and see If LG announces an 83" C4 with MLA. That way even if you want the C3 at 83" the news will drive down the price.
Thanks a lot for your insight as always , that makes sense . All the TVs are on sale now , I know ces is next month with that said also . I keep going back and forth .. the g3 has that heat sink and warranty of 5 years . Do you know if the c3 has any kind of heat compositor technology?
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY hello Brian , I ended up going G3 77 inch went to Best Buy yesterday saw the mla technology , I couldn’t resist it with wall mount service . Thank you for insight as always
Hey Brian. First let me say thank you for making these videos. They are more helpful than you realize. Yours is the only review I could find that put together a side by side comparison of the 2 tvs I'm considering: the 77 G3 and the 83 G3. The 83 G3 missing MLA is an issue for me and I don't know if its worth the $1500 premium over the 83 C3. My sense is that its not. So really my decision is between the 77 G3 and 83 C3. Midway during this video you said something that caught my attention. You said that you would choose a larger C series TV over next size down smaller G series TV. You made this video 2 months ago and since then you have made other videos and you had more time with these 2 TVs. I absolutely love the picture and contrast and colors of the G3, and that 5 year warranty is excellent. But I'm also in awe of the 83" size (fits my living room lighting and viewing distance) and that was my initial goal coming from a 2017 65 C7. Can you offer any advice for my decision between the 77 G3 and 83 C3? Has your opinion changed in the last 2 months? Thanks again for your time.
Thank you for the great comment! The 83" G3 is hard to recommend simply knowing MLA exists. The 83" G2 is nearly the same. That said I prefer the 83 C3 over last tears G2 . As far as the 77" G3 VS 83" C3 I still go C3 if you have the room as the 83" size is just epic!
Hi Brian thank you for the detailed info and review. I have a short question. Did you ever have the chance to compare the 83 inch C3 vs 83 inch G3. Some people say that the G3 has a heatsink therefore it is brighter and some claim to see both tv's side by side and there were no difference between two. If it were your choice which one would you pick ? Or none of them and go with the mla 77 g3 ? Thank you .
I have seen them both quite a bit and I'd go C3 without hesitation. The heatsink doesn't make it brighter and the 83" isn't really being driven hard enough to need it. I prefer the C3 body and design as well. The G4 at 83" will be a monster which is why I can never recommend the 83" non mla G3. I hope this helps
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY Thank you so much for your fast reply :D If I had the cash I would wait for the G4 83 inch but I live in a country with hyperinflation so this will be my only shot (during discount time) and I think I will have to live with it for at least 5-10 years. In this scenario you are the master who will decide for me if you were in my shoes would you pick 83 C3 or 77 G3 ? Would you choose bigger for the smaller but the better technology .This is my last question and if I gave you headache please forgive me :(
Hey Brian, Thanks for the early impressions of all the new models this year! I just saw hdtvtest‘s review of the s90c and he gave it their best value award. What are your thoughts on the comparison between C3 , s90c and A80L? I personally really like the Sony picture, for movies, but every time I turn on my Cx for gaming I am still really happy with it and it’s still going strong. I think both the C3 ,and I have a feeling especially the A80L too, will have great deals this year. Can’t wait for the A95L and an early impression from you! Hope it really delivers the 2x measurements of the A95K. From what we have heard from Samsung Display at CES the qd oled panel should be capable of even more than what the S95C is getting out of it. And let’s hope for a good price😂. Enjoy your holiday!
@@TheAntifluencer Bro chill I have both QD-OLED(A95K) and WOLED(A9G) the QD-OLED is better but it’s not a whole different world. I’ve had the chance to see the G3 in person and it’s absolutely insane how much punch they’ve gotten out of the WOLED panel. The combination of the EVO-Deuterium technology and MLA is a massive improvement. See one for yourself in person before berating someone as genuine as Brian. I would honestly choose the G3 over the A95K the brightness especially on white backgrounds is crazy. I’m a Sony guy so I’m hoping Sony brings the heat with the A95L as I’m looking to upgrade my 77 A9G this year.
Dude you are in my comment section trying to discredit me . Even changing your name. The guy above is asking a simple question. You point bias, but your comments are clearly biased. You've never even seen these tv's I'm person . Your simply regurgitating what you've read and seen . Sony's tv isn't Even out yet and it's the winner. You see one vid from Vincent and the S90C is the go to. P.S I'm not sponsored by anyone. But keep that same energy when I interview Sony again. Or when I praise them. I'm sure I'll be genuine again.
@@TheAntifluencer I think if we are honest we would all take every model home for every room of the house😉. It all depends on your personal use case and preferences. I really like the competition and hope we will see great prices because of it. I personally only saw the A80L and read a German review on it, and the audio is really good and improved! So each model has a place in the market and unique selling points. And otherwise we won’t see a new model of it next year🤷♂️
This TV's shortcomings... 1- Why Isn't USB 3.0 Not Available? 2- Why HDR10+ Is Not Available? or is HDR10 Pro superior to HDR10+? 3- What are RAM and Disk Memory? 4- Why is there no IMAX? Did you answer these questions? Thank you.

Never hurts to wait. The reason I say this is that many of the picture settings features you see in this video actually make a difference. The processing is better, and I think that's worth waiting for . Hope this helps and thank you for watching
Yes most definitely! The micro contrast of an oled cannot be touched. The only way I choose an led or mini led is if it's a large size difference in favor of the led. Hope this helps and thank you for watching
If you have the room and need a larger size I go C2 without hesitation. The picture quality is close enough and the size and immersion easily beats 65" regardless of what it is. Hope this helps and thank you for watching

Thank you so much for the kind words and for being part of the community and family. Between those three the G3 is the stand out over the others. Honestly If your going to want the G3 is definitely worth the money. If you must buy now you'll be more than happy with the C2.
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY so what I’m doing right now to keep myself occupied until I have the budget for the G3, I’m gonna play Diablo four, which isn’t a very demanding game in terms of performance and colors, so I’m going to be utilizing my old TV for that. Would you agree that Diablo four isn’t very demanding and any older TV dated eight years ago should be sufficient

They are not actually The 42" and 48" are exactly the same as last years c2. The 10% brightness to APL is on 55" and up. Not a big difference actually.
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY Hey Brian quick question so I have owned my 77 inch C2 for about a year and I recently bought a 65 inch B2 for the bedroom and it is noticeably brighter than my C2 with identical settings. Do smaller TVs tend to be brighter? Thought that was strange with the C2 having the evo panel but the B2 not having it but still being the brighter television.
Both are excellent and I personally like the new features, like picture wizard and new menu's. But at this moment the C2 is very close and a much better value
Don’t know about you but I upgraded straight away from bx to G3 and in demos and 4K videos it’s massive upgrade but in regular Netflix content at 4K native I would say the brightest mode on bx is equal to dimmest mode on g3 , pic wise all Oleds are good .
this year LG is disaster for Gaming Nerfed G3 Color Boost option turned down in Game mode New anti reflective panel which is worse then glossy panels. You loose that INKY VOID BLACK from glossy.Annd MLA pink tint 42 C3 is what i am interested.More PPI and glossy panel. Thank you Godfather! Always glad to hear positive feedback. Truly appreciate you being here.
such a great tv. just got the 65 inch a month ago and couldnt be happier with the purchase
Awesome! So glad to hear you are loving it! Thank you so much for watching
Plus he said it's about 20% brighter which is huge if you are watching in a bright room
I have to agree, the upscaling on the LG CX and Sony A90K on low bit rate content like UA-cam Tv is horrible, but the LG C2 upscaled it perfectly.
How does it look with high bit content? I am talking about 4k on youtube. I know that UA-cam's 4k is not the best but I do watch a lot of content on UA-cam.
Every year it gets better! Ptetty amasing!
The fun and interesting thing the first ever made oled TV was manufactured and working till this day and I'm not talking abouts 2010+ they later sold it to LG.
Sony XEL-1
Manufacturing of small molecule OLEDs was started in 1997 by Pioneer Corporation, followed by TDK in 2001 and Samsung-NEC Mobile Display (SNMD), which later became one of the world's largest OLED display manufacturers - Samsung Display, in 2002. The Sony XEL-1, released in 2007, was the first OLED television
This TV cost a lot
Hi Brian, enjoy your vacation , i can't wait to your Sony's reviews this year
Thank you Majid! Much love my friend
I have till this day the first Sony Triluminos Sony Display working no issues Qled was sold to Samsung Sony shifted to Triluminos
Congratulations on your purchase my friend! You'll be very happy! Thank you so much for watching
I replaced my 50-inch LG plama with 65-inch c3. In my opinion, Oled is truly only upgrade. LG is the best and has ten years of experience.
Great Video Brian...you nailed it..value...style.. performance the C series cant be beat
Thank you my friend!
Beautiful backdrop. Enjoy ya self Brian! 🍹 ☀️ 🌊
Much love, Blaze! Hope all is well brother!
Could you do a picture set up for C3.Ive tryed but picture seems to change when i move from Movies to Sport etc .
Just upgraded my C1 to the A95K, very impressed with the Sony.
One of the best TV'S ever made my friend. So glad you are loving it
I am confused between LGC3 and Sony A80L.
Brian, does the LG C3 have the pink tint on a white screen at an angle like the previous LG OLEDs?
Sorry Brian to Bother you. I m writing from Italy. Have followed you For long time and thanks to Your suggestions (and those of AVS forum) we bought few monthes ago a 55 A80k and we are very happy. A mouth ago we bought an LG c2 42 For our bedroom. As you seems suggest in comments below c3 is better than c2. Should we return the c2 For a 42 c3? In 42 inches size the differences do matter between c2 and c3?
According to Vincent the S90C is a better choice over the C3 unless if you want a bigger size I am sticking with my C2 for now
I'll wait and see how they compare myself, my friend. C2 is still excellent
Vincent also pointed out a lot of flaws with S90C. Motion interpolation issues and the low bit content processing is worse compared to LG OLEDs. I believe for HDR S90C would be more impactful.
Thanks Brian
Thank you as always Craig!
Real difference is G3. C1/C2/C3 are very similiar
I was wondering how bright the 83-inch C3 is compared to the C2 83 inch.
Brian , is the 83” LG G3 & LG C3 picture quality the same since the 83” G3 does not use MLA technology?
No the 83 g3 will still have the heatsink and will be slightly brighter than last years G2. So while it won't have MLA expect it will still be brighter. Hope this helps
Hey, is it true that lg fixed the auto dimming problem on the c3? Thank you!
si
Going to upgrade from the LG 65C8 to the 77C3, I hope it is upgrade worthy.
Can you put A80l va lg c3
Picture doesn’t ever dim if you’re scrolling through menus fyi. It is rather annoying when your watching actual content and the image dims to where it’s almost gone.
How far away should we be sitting from a 65 inch tv for best viewing experience?
hello brian, question please: is the LG C3 better than LG G2 ?
I would say I like the settings and new picture set up on the C3 . However until I compare them next week side by side I can't say for sure. Stay tuned and thank you for watching
The G2 has a heatsink and a better warranty. Do you plan on wall mounting? If so G2 is no brainer.
Which one you prefer, and you think better, is it LG C3 or Sony A80K?
Sadly, the Sony A80K is the highest series of sony product in my country, and the price for 55 inch are at the same price with LG C3..
C3
I’ll buy c2 55 because of the price $1000
Hello there i need a help, confused wither to go lg c3 77 inch or samsung s90c 77 inch? Any recommendations?
I’m new to lg oled im coming from a roku 4k tv I would get the g3 but it’s too expensive for someone that’s new to lg is the lg c3 a good start I been keeping my eye on the c3 for a while i been thinking about getting it next month.
C3 or A95K after it drops a few bucks? Dollar for dollar, who wins?
A95K! Yes it's expensive but even with the C3 improvements without MLA it can't match the QD-OLED Master series.
Good morning Brian's tech therapy :) between a90j at lower price vs lg c3, wich is the best please ?
Did they make sdr game mode brighter 😭, one of the reason why i keep avoiding
I'll have to check when I game on it. I don't have any issues on my C1 in Sdr
I think the lg c3 is going to impress people due to the new processor. If it is similar to the a90k processor I had seen (low nits oled but perceive highlights made it look bright)..Upscaling was a bit behind last year compared to competition so this one is looking great for that and motion if similar to g2 is going to be great as well
Love this video Brian. Thx. Love this tv too. So do any of the comparable newer Sony TV’s have four 2.1 HDMI’s?
The a95L QD-OLED is rumored to have 4. Not 100% sure . Hope all is well
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY I wonder if this QD OLED will be better or just comparable to the MLA OLED of the LG G3 line 🤔🤷♂️
I think it will be the best TV this year but it will cost a fortune.
Lg should’ve a detachable plug that’s my only issue
Thanks for making this vid 👍🏻
The pleasure is mine! Thank you for watching
hi Brian I see that the lg c3 is more expensive than c2 at list price without discounts why is this the case???
If the C2 and C3 were side by side with the same content playing, would the casual viewer notice any difference to justify the price difference?
no
Damn Whisper … Im ready to buy a top oled Samsung, Sony or lg .. had my heart set on 77 G3 … saw your comparison on g3 vs c3.. now I’m considering ordering the C3 83 “ inch ..
@blackscorp awesome! So happy for you my friend
What does C3 stand for ?
C for cinema, and G for gaming?
When is the C3 available in Canada?
Is it brighter than the C2 ? And not just perceived brightness, but does it actually measure brighter?
It's perceived brightness created by processing by eye but we'll definitely get it measured. Thank you for watching
Would you choose bigger for the smaller but the better technology .This is my last question and if I gave you headache please forgive me :(
Never a problem, my friend. The G4 is definitely worth waiting for if you can. It will have a new processor and it will have MLA capable of 3000nits

Hopefully very soon my friend!
Hey Brian love the videos do you know when the new c and g series are coming to Australia and new Zealand?
Hey Brian,
Thanks for the early impressions of all the new models this year!
Most definitely my friend! It will be very interesting as the year goes on. Thank you so much for watching

Never hurts to wait. The reason I say this is that many of the picture settings features you see in this video actually make a difference. The processing is better, and I think that's worth waiting for . Hope this helps and thank you for watching
Thank you👍🏻👍🏻
Would you still choose the C3 over the non OLED Sony tv's like the x90l, x95l etc?
Yes most definitely! The micro contrast of an oled cannot be touched. The only way I choose an led or mini led is if it's a large size difference in favor of the led. Hope this helps and thank you for watching
Just wondering what you would choose LG C2 77 or LG G3 65?
If you have the room and need a larger size I go C2 without hesitation. The picture quality is close enough and the size and immersion easily beats 65" regardless of what it is. Hope this helps and thank you for watching
wonder if i should get this one or the g3 (both 55'' )

Your thoughts on the negative reviews on amazon?
The same as many ALL tvs and all items everywhere have neg reviews. It happens
funny how not practical way of attaching TV stand they prefer.... rule is simple, always manipulate smaller part ;-)
The price of the sound bars made by the TV manufacturers is insanely too high .. most of us who have messed around with surround sound have gone back to a 2.2 speaker setup .. there isn't hardly any difference between the C2 & C3 I'm Waiting for the C2 77 to drop to 2200 or below
Went with a 2.1 setup, Klipsch fives and the SVS micro sub…. It slaps any sound bar I’ve had. Can’t make up for actually separating the speakers.

@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY Hey Brian quick question so I have owned my 77 inch C2 for about a year and I recently bought a 65 inch B2 for the bedroom and it is noticeably brighter than my C2 with identical settings. when you are going through the detailed settings, why not actually tell us what you are changing and why - instead of doing a rambling advertisement comparing this tv with others that we clearly have not bought (or we wouldn't be watching this video)?
Nice comment! It's not a settings video. Sorry you didn't enjoy the video
The C3 was killed by the S90C.
I take it you saw Vincent's vid😅 I'll wait until I see them together. Thanks for watching
