Pixel Artist name is VALENBERG, he also worked with BloodMusic to create the cyberpunk game "VirtuaVerse" which has same pixel art aesthetic as this video. (actually a pretty good point&click game: beautiful pixel art and writing)
Summary of the full album's story, and a bit of context for the events of this music video: "The main character is the motorcycle helmet-clad vigilante known as the Night Driving Avenger. His narrative intertwines with a female android/assassin, fighting for liberty and equality in a cynical world that attempts to eradicate all traces of the machines. The duo attempt to dismantle an underground faction who spreads their message of hate through a false religion - its recruiting station is the black church that hovers over the city."

This is probably the best music video i've ever watched, along with Do The Evolution.
I'm a huge fan of everything cyberpunk, and this hits all the right notes. It's stylized, retro, the lyrics go perfectly with what's being shown, and the little story made me very umconfortable, which is exactly the point of it. 10/10.

Actually, the music is effectively darksynth, and the music video has synthwave elements, but he is right in saying that is cyberpunk, because it definitely is. The two genres are not that different, actually.

I want more of this mysterious world and its terrifying marvels. The end installed feelings of change. Something permanent. Irreversible. The end of one life, and the birth of life anew.

The final seconds of the clip are sad and creepy. He doesn't shoot her, she looks back at him as she wasn't dangerous at all. There is something really sad I can't quite tell. Analogy to unrequited love maybe, the tragic cyberpunk at best. Awesome art.

So in Pittsburgh, there was a nightclub called Club Laga.
On saturday, they hosted "Ceremony" on saturday nights.
They played music just like this.
You could feel the music in the floors and walls, vibrating.
The colored lights, the fog, the people.
Those nights were some of the best in my life. I hope to find another "ceremony" to take part in... 🖤

How to do combine the live music experience of individual instrumentalists with that of an orchestra director? That's the thing about electronic music. Nobody has really figured out a good way to present it. Even Deadmau5 and Daft Punk weren't able to break into the mainstream.

Harold Haroldson Agreed. Even though both are synth wave artists Perturbator leans towards a more unholy and dark kind of wave, although tunes like the one from this video are some of his exceptions which ironically is one of his best regarded tracks.
The best thing in Driver is the music by Kavinsky. The first 10min in the movie is pretty cool but the rest is just cliche.
