Just ordered this. Huge upgrade over the Sony STR-DH590 I inherited from my father when he passed away a few years ago. Needed eARC/HDMI 2.1 and this seemed like best bang for the buck at $300 and checked all the boxes, and then some. Can even upgrade to Atmos later if I want.
What do you mean with Digital input dosent support Surround? I tested that with my x4700h with PC Realtek Digital Output and get surround. I will buy this AVR for my PC setup, but i will only use the digital input.
It is a great AV receiver especially at this price point AND the fact it is 7.2 channel. Also, it supports 8k pass through so it is future proof. I actually had a chance to exchange this one out for a marantz slim line receiver after I heard it at Best Buy paired with a def tech BP 9020. It sounded amazing especially for music. I decided to exchange this one for that and I will be putting up a review/ unboxing on that one soon.
The problem is Denon offers far too many 7.1 channel models; it's become confusing at this point. The basic difference between them is moderate power. I recently got an AVR-X2800 but we're running a 5.1 setup; the 5.1 models left on the market are just cheap and weak in terms of power.
Great presentation. I just bought one at costco for $379 on sale $70 off. So far my only issue is the bluetooth streaming from phone, seems a bit flaky. love the features for the price point.
Correct. It being an entry level avr, that was not included I guess. Regardless it is a great price for what you get and I think this is really geared for gamers.
Haha… they were often in sales at Costco. I always do a price comparison and do a price match before I buy. Maybe there was a sale at the time I got mine. Nevertheless, this is a great overall avr especially for nextgen gaming consoles
Of all the AVR-S760 review videos this one is the best. It's great that you spent times with each and every button on the unit front and back.
Thank you for watching and i am glad you found the review helpful!
I was waiting to see if there was a subwoofer out on the back, it looks like there is 2 of them?

Watched this as I'm looking to buy one of these during the latest Black Friday deals.
