This video is super helpful! There are not a lot of tutorials on writing on agate slices out there! Thank you for sharing all these useful information!
You're welcome! Glad it was useful =)
I've been all over the internet to find out if the Dr. Ph Martins Bleedproof White ink will scratch of a slick surface, and this is the only useful demonstration I found, so thank you! You've definitely gained a subscriber :)
I have a collection of those Agate slices I've had for years. Thanks for the inspiration!
Wonderful tutorial! Thank you!
Thank you so much! So helpful! Waiting for more UA-cam videos
Thank you! This was incredibly helpful (:!!

Love this! thanks for sharing!
Glad you liked it! =)

I have often seen people doing calligraphy on this but I just got to know through your video that these are called as agate slices thanks for sharing this video
im so suprised they didnt scratch from being written on! beautiful idea
Do you know if putting a finishing coat of epoxy resin over the top would work?
hello! would u recommend using resin to apply the finishing on the agate?
Love this , thanks for sharing.. I feel u are channel is much more helpful for newbies like me. May I know the use of this ?
Thank you so much. I wish I could find the agate slide in art store instead of Amazon. It's pretty expensive.
My initial thought about sealing would be clear nail polish, as it is made to make this sleek polished finish. Have you tried it, and if so, what is the result in your experience?
That was very helpful! Thank you! Would you suggest Acrylic markers or oil based paint markers?
Probably oil-based markers will stay put better than acrylic =)
Hi Shinah, this is such a helpful video! When you write on acrylic, do you also leave those unfinished? Having trouble finding a good fixative that doesn’t leave a texture. Thanks!
I never seal agates with a fixative - every one that I've tried leaves a strange texture. I address it in the video!
Do you clean your nib with nail polish remover as well for acrylic paint? Or how do you clean it? >:D
Thanks so much for this immensely helpful video for calligraphy newbies like me!!! Really appreciate it. May I ask where do you get the clean agate slices? Thanks heaps!!
I got mine from Rock Paradise on Etsy - there are a few stores there that sell them!
Crooked Calligraphy thank you so muchhhh
Thank you for your informative video. If you feel comfortable sharing where to get those agate slices at a reasonable price, I would appreciate it. All the websites I've been to either charge a fortune individually for the slices, or they have holes in them and don't have nice surfaces on which to write. Thanks again.
I haven't done extensive price comparisons, but I have heard from a few sources that Rock Paradise on Etsy is a good place to get agate slices! I've used them a couple times and the quality is always good.
I got mine from Rock Paradise on Etsy - I think they're fairly affordable and good for writing on!
Could you please share the coloured ink's name?? This technique is really very nice.. Thank you soo much👍
all the supplies are listed in the caption! =)
Will it come of if I washed them with water or dishwasher soap?
Not unless you scrub really hard. The inks I used in the video (listed in the caption) are acrylic-based, so they're waterproof
@@CrookedCalligraphy thank you dear
Sorry to be a pain I been buying and looking all over for one purple one for my daughter for Mother’s Day that have her name on it could you be so so kind to tell me if you can sell me one or guide me to some one who can make me one please?
God bless
What pen or technique would you recommend writing on a cactus?
Ooh... probably a paint pen. A nib is too pointy
