For such a simple drink it is surprisingly tasty. Essentially a riff on a classic whiskey sour, this one is definitely worth a try.
    INGREDIENTS
    - 60mL Bourbon Whiskey
    - 22.5mL Honey Syrup (3:1)
    - 22.5mL Fresh Lemon Juice
    HOW TO
    1. Add all the ingredients to your cocktail shaker
    2. Shake & strain over fresh ice into a collins glass
    3. Garnish with a twist of lemon

u could taste the drink and tell us how it tastes. this might make us make it as we would know if it was sweet sour, what comes through the most, etc. love the vids !!!!!! keep It going!

Good point! Definitely something I'm keen on doing. I'll probably tasting once I get a second camera otherwise it's a bit more fiddling around (stop filming, remove the camera from the tripod, take photos, set up camera and film again)..for now I'm trying to keep it as simple as possible as it takes a total of approx. 2 hours per day (filming, editing, posting)..
      It's tough work! ;)
Once I get to the end, I plan on putting a book together of the top 100 or similar =)

Now that's a blast from the past!
A little odd as far as glassware goes though, the description mentions a collins, you use a double OF and I myself think it's best suited for a stemmed cocktail glass!
Always fun to see more of you, Steve, cheers!

Love your videos! As I want to start getting into cocktail making, it would be nice to see a sort of 'starter kit' of which essential equipment and staple spirits to have! Thanks!

Def gonna try this. So it's basically a Bee's Knees with Bourbon rather than Gin.

I would say I would like to see more history of where the drink came from maybe. Also show what you could substitute for some stuff since some things may be expensive for us. I think like someone else said tasting and describing what it tastes like the best you can would be cool. Also you could say what occasion the drink maybe like summer or winter type drink or something like that. Oh and on another side note the milliliters is kinda hard to understand for us people in the states so like for the recipe in the comments it'd be nice to see what it would be in ounces or like saying 3/4 th a shot and so on. I really like the videos I love to constantly learn new drinks I've never heard of and it looks like your on your way in a good direction just make it more fun and those views will soar!

Thanks Lazyman! Plenty of feedback there which is great!
I'm trying to keep the videos to 2-3 minutes each but will see if I can squeeze some extra details about the drink history and where it comes from..
I think the tasting is something important - I've got an extra person helping me to film the videos which should make things a little easier. By myself meant a lot of extra moving of cameras, set up, etc. It's a lot of work surprisingly! I've already got 7-8 videos pre-filmed as I have a crazy week with work so will start tastings after those ones :)
Re: millilitres, that's a good point especially considering that the majority of viewers and subscribers are from the US. Will have to adjust accordingly.
Thanks again! Really appreciate you taking the time to leave some pointers! Cheers!

Do you think a Gold Rush can be batched? If so what are your recommendations

I do not think you look like a grump. You are straight and to the point. Approachable but in teaching mode. I like your channel. Just wonder why it skips a lit. But will not prevent me from watching.

I’ve never worked with cameras and filming so learning as I go - some of the older videos have a lot of bad jump cuts... they’re getting better as I go :)

A bit like this but with a better angle? ua-cam.com/video/NANdz-YKMUw/v-deo.html
This is one of my older videos - I was using my mobile phone to film the close ups but I now use that to record audio on a lapel mic..

Where's the ginger? A gold rush has ginger liqueur in it.
