Guide to Exhaust Mods video is out! ua-cam.com/video/A9urb_YcJl4/v-deo.html
Bladed Angel is it bad that i want my first car 1500 hp supra and 1200 tourq
Bladed Angel your such an inspiration and I'm really good on car identifying so thanks 😅😊😊😊
thetermanator rides kinda a but you should expect more problems and a lot more expensive to fix it
Bladed Angel so how should i moddify my 2017 gtr that i got 3 weeks ago
When u said I have to wait to mod can I put a oriellys intake and a AutoZone exhaust
*Insurer* - "Is your car modded?"
*Me* - "If I say yes will my rates go up?"
*Insurer* - "Yes they would sir."
*Me* - "....imma go with no"
Nick Ross Its the risk you take haha
Legally, if you lead them to believe you’re hiding something, they have to tell higher ups. Just so ya know lmao
then someone else at faults hit you and the insurance company owns your car and you have defrauded them. smart. insure your mods kids if you are building anything worth while, jus sayin.
At that point you might as well have minimum liability coverage, since they aren't going to cover anything else if you wreck it.
in that case only ask them to cover theft and not damages, my friend did the same with an mr2 that he raced and as long as the insurance didn't have to cover any damages they were more than happy to give him low rates, but it depends if you are getting insurance for protection purposes or just so that you can legally drive on the road.
Value goes down, but happiness goes up
Nova u can have a good balance. Just know that youre losing money on mods. Not adding anything
True if u put a stright pipe exhaust and it has a nice sound ofc my happiness would go up
HingleMcCringleBerry how there are mods that make a car look way better how is that losing money it’s like saying u can go on a date with ur shirt that u sleep in because it’s a waste of money if you buy a better more expensive shirt?😂😂 literally the same
Your profile picture makes me happy
Value goes down but peepee goes up
5 things you need to know before modding your car:
1. You need a car
Raisin
2. You need money
3. You need time
4. You need a.garage to keep your broken car(😂😫)
5. You need friends that are willing to help u

Especially the second point!
Being a car enthusiast and to like customizing cars, BUT not having money, is a real pain in the ass...
It's an expensive passion, you need to be rich to fully enjoy it, unfortunately...
Yeah thats my main problem
If you're buying a used car the first thing you should do is make sure all maintenance is done before any mods are done. Things like timing belt, fluid flushes, oil leaks, etc.
Agreed and you may have meant this, but assume that none of this has recently been done so get it done yourself to be sure.
most sellers won't bother with this, and most of the time people selling their cars do so before the costly maintenance comes in, and you will have a hard time finding one that has done it before selling with it on record.
My mods will always go in this order:
Wheels
Coilovers
Engine/exhaust
Cosmetics
Those seem good and reasonable
Stan Torren teach me sensei
My modification order is:
1.Coilovers
2.Wheels
3. Exterior look, like a bodykit, wing, etc
4. Exhaust system
4.Performance
5. Interior, like seats, steering wheel, etc
What y’all think??
Clout _boi223 id start off with a wing/spoiler or exhaust
@@MellyP1 bloody ricer, i will start with a turbo kit and stage 2
Imma get a modded civic add a thicc fart can a cardboard wing and side skirts , paper front spliter and have my wheels almost perfectly horizontal
Simon_M1 I took the wheel off my Civic bet you can't beat that sweaty 😉
Simon_M1 why is everyone hating on Civics its just the owners who are stupid and put shit on them Civics are nice cars and can be really clean if you can tune them well
@@CureMachine no shit
Widely available and affordable car...
Lower intelligence USUALLY equates to lower earning potential.
So there are plenty of idiots out there modifying civics to the detriment of anybody within eyesight or earshot.
This is a game of probability and statistical likelihood. There are, of course, outliers with very nice civics.
Damn, you copied what's called a Mexican super car!
Dealer: Warranty?
Me: Void, Void, Void, Void
About that "Keeping the parts"... I agree with you. My teacher always says that aftermarket parts dealers always love young people. Because they always bring their stock motorcycle in (heck, it's not even a motorcycle, it's technically a scooter), install the aftermarket parts and left the stock parts to them.
many mechanics will keep the stock parts if you do that and won't release them to you even if you ask sadly.
So i can buy a 1000HP Supra cheaper?
ALLIN Alin go for it
Just try it
No
Power is a big responsibility you know. :)
@@dimitris.4484 With a great power comes great responsibility
very helpful for first timers
when 97% of the country thinks a fart can is a real "mod", a 6 minute video about mods is too damn short.

What's a fart can
+Fabian Ming a fart can it's a modified civic exhaust
The first suggestion is pretty nice.
Actually, I would add one extra thing: if you plan to use it on the racing track, inspect the car, change/replace what's is needed, put a good set of tires and test the car without any modifications.
This will help you to determine what you need to improve in your car and plan better your upgrades and enjoy your upgrades even more than you would if you just upgraded the car and never knew how it was stock.
Sometimes your engine is already enough for your purpose and upgrading it won't make your car much better without a proper set of tires and a finely tuned suspension.
As someone who is obsessed with wide Body Kits. it's really hard for me to keep original parts.... But then again I'm not selling my cars anyway :'D
Yo ich war früher in dem fnf Hype dabei

*When Vtec kicks in*
Yo
Last one is so relatable, I'm having trouble finding parts for my '69 Lincoln Continental Mk III :/ Especially since the '69 and '70 Mk III's have minor but but noticable differences and there's not many '69s running around, so I'm up poo creek without a paddle sometimes:') But tbh it's worth it cuz your grow closer to your car and know what's in it rather than having someone else do it 😁
Nicholas Mcclure Thats a nice car! My uncle also has one. But we live in germany
It's the same with my 245 Turbo. Not many are left so the parts are hard to find, and when you do find them they're expensive as hell. The "Turbo" trunk emblem can go for ~$200
I just wanted to comment thanking you for all your work and explanatory content!
I'm new to the automotive industry and finding out all I can before taking the steps toward buying & modifying a car really helps!
I remember watching this video not even a month after I got my 2010 Camaro 2SS back in 2017, it really help me understand the pros & cons of adding mods to your vehicle, it's been 2 years an I've only changed 3 things on the car. My Exhaust to a X-Pipe & Axle Back an tinted the windows I'm happy with it 😎
Sweet car. I just watched Bladed Angel's video on exhaust mod basics - when you put in the X-pipe, what exact difference did it make?
Did you notice a bit less torque down low?
3:33 I just threw up....
Bunta Fujiwara i know bunta lol
Ikr the flame vinyl isn't bad but it doesn't fit the car
I really love the metamorphosis that this channel has gone through. Keep up the good work.
Very good list. My dad told me pretty much the same things when I first got my car, and even though I have no plans to sell it, I'm always keeping the stock parts that're still good.
Bladed-senpai, one thing you should have mentioned is Mileage, such as what mileage should you not even bother with mods without rebuilding drivetrain components just so you're not risking higher unreliability from worn-out parts.
Hey man, keep uploading these videos, I'm enjoying them!
I recently got a 2006 BMW Z4 3.0 Si and I want to mod and this video helps a great deal
I'm hoping to start modding my car soon so this was actually helpful. I'm new to the car modding community.
IM EXCITED FOR THE NEXT VIDEO!!!! I’ve always been iffy on my understanding of exhausts
The ECU part only applies to cars that have modern ECUs.
Older cars that have hybrid digital or no ECU at all don’t apply
I think
Also when restoring an old car, aftermarket parts are sometimes crucial or optional since OEM parts might not be found on sale and increase performance overall
Problem is with classic cars a non OEM part will cause the value to drop like a rock
Dude I'm Just pointing it out
1423 171 I know but I worry it will cause an inconvenience in the future
Yeah If you keep points and a generator on a car it will be bad for reliability but if you swap it you'll decrease the value but you just have to keep the stock parts I mean my trans am is basically completely stock aside from a newer radio and a 455 under the hood and those were before i got it
Angel, gotta say, I'm a huge fan of your channel, love all the car videos as well as the anime and car memes. I especially love the anime music in the backgrounds.
Thanks bro, your vids are hella good! Tbh even if i knew some of it already then there's obviously somethings i didn't know
Find a guy who knows about car on form or Facebook and ask them questions. Usually they are kind enough to tell you their experience and the do and don't
Verify everything you're told as well, with other guys who knows thing about your car before you do anything based on the forums. Make sure you understand what it is completely, the ups and down all of it. Swapped my engine and ECU with online information, even sourced the engine and harness on the forum. Not disappointed in the least with the results. I took my time though.
FaceAss is only for Feds who are lonely and need to cuff someone.
Thanks for vid bro. We appreciate you hard work. 👍
THANKS FOR THE ADVICE MAN! IT REALLY HELPED. DO MORE OF THESE ADVICE VIDEOS.
I love what you’re doing for the car community
Love your videos man. Subscribed a few weeks/month ago and haven't looked back since then. Me personally, I'm looking forward to modding my 1st Gen Acura TL. (Driven it for 4 years now) Lol but I'm starting off fairly simple. Spark plugs, Tires, new lights, window tint, and MAYBE an exhaust system (if I can find one) I want to do more but you know, my knowledge is still growing.
In the case of a truck, modding right away *can* be useful. Running boards and a fifth wheel are a definite for any truck and stuff like refinishing the bed or getting a new tailgate can be helpful with an old truck.
Love your videos, man. Informative and entertaining.
Ur growing so fast I remember when you were only in the single thousands!
I like this new direction you're taking, cool video bro
I know this is an old ass video, but I went down the rabbit hole and wanted to say you earned a sub. Thanks for the vids.
This video is completely true.. always keep your oem parts, especially now a days because they are hard to come by
You had me 8 seconds in. That picture of the baby is perfect 😂
Honestly take your time modding it, you do it right you can create a stunning piece of art that turns heads no matter what the car is.
I modded my BMW 230i orginaly it was 248hp now its 300hp and it didnt void the warranty. I used dinan. It's awesome
Wow that engine coming outta that semi @1:05 is crazy!!!
Exhausts in racing games: 100-1000$
Real racing exhaust:
*is as expensive as a GReedy turbo*
no its not
Thank you! This video will help me alot
hate? since the first random video in recommendations i found your content worth my time. keep up the good work bud!! ;)
4:18 Hey look a SAAB! ❤
2:58 great editing 👍🏻👍🏻😂
Bladed Angel please do a video on how people always start modding the engine first, i always see it, when someone gets a new car right away they go to the engine and slap a turbo and then they start having car problems, people need to start by deciding what kind of racecar they want it to be, it could be a daily driven drift car or a drag racer etc, next you should start deciding what mods you want on the car from body kits to handling to performance, then you need to make extra sure those are the mods you really need or want and last you need to start with handling, dont go to the engine first, its better to start with smaller cheaper and more basic mods like the suspension, steering wheel, steats etc. im a 14yo and thats what im doing its better to start this way cause then your gonna make a bunch of mistakes and waste alot of money its gonna be really frustrating. I see it on almost every car channel im subscribed to
1. It lowers resale value.
2. You either know how to fix it or take it to performance shop when it breaks because most mechanics wont touch a modified car.
3. Reliability issues (sometimes)
4.less daily drive comfort (sometimes)
dude , love ur channel and keep up the good work , but don’t over work yourself making videos . You’re a really good person and i hope you get all the sleep you can get
O o f don't do this to me angel stop uploading in 4 in the morning, also it's my Birthday so that's a thing.
Joesph_Stalin time zones brother
Nobody cares.
you cant blame him, blame the time zone, also Happy B-Day whoever you are.
Happy birthday my fellow west coast friend
Joesph_Stalin Ayy it's my birthday too
Yoooo the space dandy reference, lit
would like to see a part 2 to this topic with more in depth guide for beginners
Great video!!
Don't forget having a plan for passing smog. In CA this entails making sure you put the stock cats and tune back on and making sure all your other parts in front of the catback are CARB legal. Its a pain
another thing for those starting out. Make sure you know how your car goes together in the area you are looking at modding. I was modding my whole exhaust system on my 2013 ZR1 and I F**ked up on the rear end assembly so bad I ripped off the mounting point for the floor of the car, which meant a very, very expensive part was going to need to be replaced on top of my exhaust system. In my case this wound up being beneficial to allowing me to get the next parts I was looking for on my car though, so now I have a rear end diffuser from a C6.R on my rear end. I just had to advance my schedule of when I was planning on doing things and reworking my budget cause it wound up being an additional 5k that I was planning on spending a couple months down the line and not at that time. whoops.
Since then I have gotten the vast majority of all of the parts I have wanted on the car installed to make it a better track car. I now have an adjustable rear wing installed on the rear end, and a splitter on the front and I have also gotten a band new floor mod that helps blend the stock bottom of the car into the diffuser at the rear. My next stop will be on the brakes cause the stock brakes aren't lasting as long as I'd like them to on the track, but they are expensive AF, however, considering they are really the only step above what I have now I have a few months of saving ahead of me (like 18 months. they're a $14k set of Brembos)
I always wanted to tune my father's 1998 ford mondeo, it was really agile for being a diesel sedan and had good cornering...
Question: is it really dumb to mod a fwd car? I don’t need 400+ hp but I just want to add a little kick
ImJustHere no it’s not people drag race 1000+ hp civics that are fwd
As long as it has potential, than it doesn't matter what drivetrain it is. A good car is a good car :)
Nope, it would be good to keep in mind that every type of car needs different modifications to make the best of it, many cars benefit from removing extra weight and restrictions such as computer limiters and such, and a good set of sticky tyres, in front wheel drive car, or any car for that matter, getting a good set of tyres and a good suspension setup and some more aggressive brake pads, maybe braided brake lines, all of that would go a long way. Just dont spend too much money on things you dont need like gimmicks or spoilers and such especially if its a street car. Also, do research about your car on respective forums and such before you decide to do something, sometimes finding problems your car comes with stock and fixing them and/or improving them could go a long way. Hope that helps.
Don't forget FWD cars have been pushed through the whole world, theres time attack cars (look at WTAC Civics and such) and theres drag FWD cars, and street turbo FWD cars with pretty amazingly engineered parts.
ImJustHere What car is it?
Turn all the seats around and only drive it in reverse.
i appreciate the educational route
6) Any engine mods you do to a modern car is gonna require some ECU tuning so that it runs right.
Like the information, but please still do jokes
Riley B 🤣🤨
great advice. learned some the hard way
Check out the Magnuson-Moss Act.
The condensed version is: If a defect is caused by an aftermarket part, the repair for the defect may not be covered under warranty. The burden of proof is on the dealer to prove that the aftermarket part led to the failure. For example, if you burn a hole in a piston, and the only mod you have is a CAI, the burden of proof is on the dealer to prove that the CAI caused the piston failure. If they can prove it, the repair won't be covered under warranty. By the same token, if you have a power window failure, a shock absorber failure, or a clutch failure, they would have to cover those under warranty since installing a CAI has no bearing on those components. And, contrary to urban myth, a dealer cannot cancel your warranty. The warranty is provided by Ford motor company, not the dealer. Under extreme circumstances, the factory may instruct the dealer that it's voiding the powertrain warranty, but they cannot void the entire vehicle warranty because of installation of an aftermarket part.
In reality, a lot depends on your dealer, the rapport you have with them, and how mod-friendly they are. But even then, they can only go so far. They have rules and policies to abide by as well. So you make your mods and you take your chances, or wait until the warranty runs out.
Awesome video bladed keep them up who else was here at 1K?
LOl the ending "relies on hate" aha. But i agree. Bought my dream used car, was planning to add exhaust, turbos, and lots of other cool mods but then one month in having my car, a lot of problems arised. Leaked oil, water pump, timing belt, and transmission issues which totaled up to 3k repairs after paying 4.5k for the car (sadlyfe). Good thing i didnt purchase any mods yet tho. I recommend repairing your car first, changing weared down rotors, old wheel spacers, change fluids, get a full diagnostic with your car first, etc. Will save you in the long run
Another Quality vid! 👌👌
Today, I saw the most beautiful thing ever. There's this little dealership about a 15 minute drive from my house. A while back, I noticed that there were a couple cars there that looked like a pair of RX-7 FC's. Today I finally decided to check it out and I saw that there was not only a white and a red FC, but there was also an AE86, an old Miata, and an old Supra. They all had pop up lights and I'm pretty sure the white FC was used to race, judging by the interior. First chance I get, I'm stopping by and taking a look at their prices, and you bet your ass I'm buying one of those cars once I have the money
love this content please more
Good tips indeed.....
Thank you my weeb compadre
Looking forward to the new video!!!
That’s great that there’s going to be helpful vids but we n Ed your humor too, give me the jokes.
Could you make an offroad theme video, like 5 offroad misstakes, top 5 offroad project car or things to know before offroading. i'm really in to offroad driving and getting my driver licens next year so i have done some reserch on my own but it's most boring texts and not interesting videos like yours so please spred the offroad community and keep the good videos up!
Fun fact, according to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act a car manufacturer can't legally void your warranty unless they can prove that the car's failure was due to the use of the aftermarket part.
Nice vid!
Btw, is it 'Kimi no shiranai monogatari' playing in the background?
Not a dedicated car enthusiast but subscribed for that plethora joke.
2:38 pic had me laughing for some reason
Great Video
dinan tunes im pretty sure will keep ur warranty if u mod it at dealer or dinan shop but if u do it your self then bye bye warranty
so ima look for dinan tunes for my M2
I want a 57 chevy in sky blue, sealed and epoxy clear coat wooden bed, and then modernize the engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, etc. Either using a coyote, LS, or something like crate 350.
One set of mods that'll add value to your car though for sure is if you own a truck or jeep and lift it with bigger tires...especially if it's a jeep. First of all, if you put a stock TJ next to a lifted TJ with bigger tires, people will always want the lifted TJ. And when your lifted jeep becomes more sought after, it increases the price. ACCESSORIES will decrease the value, like aftermarket steering wheels, bucket seats, etc
I even "break in" cars in Forza. I like to fix problems in the way it drives, rather than mod it immediately.
Why am I watching this? Not only am I completely clueless about cars, but I'm not even interested in them or have a drivers license and one of my own
What if you want to have a barn find and it’s an old mustang with components already built into it but it just needs a few more parts?
Keep your OG catalytic converter if you ever decide to change the entire exhaust piping. You save yourself for smog check later on.
You should make a vid about car parts and brands for those who are new to the car world !😁
Bladed i freakin died laughing at the semi truck lmao
I love the fact you have to make sure that people know you don't have a flowmaster exhaust
1:51 oh god, that middle eastern meal makes me hungry just by looking at it
It’s true. I want a gt500 soon but they all have like 650 hp and modded up, I’d like an unmodified one
They all come with 650 stock 💀
Im going to get an 04 g35 coupe and Im definitely going need help with tunes. I dont want anything super expensive or cheap but i also dont want to heavily mod, as i already know a stock can hit over 150 mph. Im a sophomore in high school so i dont inow too much about tuning but i know about cars.
I'm not a car enthusiast so if I were to mod, the only things I would most likely mod are the suspension, intake, exhaust, breaks, lighter rims, maybe get some better tires. I'd mod the engine if I knew how to but I don't and no one around me does. Too scared to learn by myself and mess up my engine.
How about a series where you talk about specific cars and how to go about modding or repairing them
I bought new rims for my '87 GMC pickup and didn't check my notes before purchasing them. The backspacing was off and I had already had the tires put on so I had to buy spacers for it. Oh well.
Great vid
I just love how there's a Subaru BRZ on the front
For first mods I’m thinking exhaust, intake, weight reduction
Also expect more things to break than usual, regardless of make
Most car and truck companies allow axle back except Ford. Which I mean their diesel trucks since there tip has a special sensor. It can easily detect modification or somewhat I think 2016 and up correct me if I'm wrong.
