This minor tweak might just be the game changer! Thank you!
I really think this video is helpful. It reiterated things that I had figured out from jumping everyday but it’s still good to hear it said out loud
PPA's goal is to create the language of jumping, so glad you liked the video!
This makes perfect sense broken down this way. Thank you coach!!
Glad to hear that!
Awesome stuff thanks
Thx I struggle with this 🧡
This is awesome
Great stuff and really well explained! Would you recommend taking these principles to the beach for vball as well?
yes, although adjusted for a slightly more upright posture at all times. You won't see (normally) a big, exaggerated penultimate as the ability to carry speed lessens on sand. You'll still be behind the plant on contact, but not as far as you'll have more of a gallop style penultimate. (arc vs. straight line)
How would you recommend to train learning to lean back or rather to fix the leaning forward issue?
I have got to say I miss watching and hearing you experience Haikyu. Hope that's something you'll get back to one day.
I will! I just have to make sure I'm creating content to help people too!
@@jumpguyty definitely here for that as well.
How do I do this technique with a basketball
As a woman, does this technique apply if my center of mass if differently located than in men?
Great question! Slightly, yes. Females contend to get away with slightly more forward torso lean through their penultimate stride.
@@jumpguyty thanks! Your video was really helpful!
I don’t have the muscle memories to jump straight up I kept jumping forward
