Building an Abandoned N Scale Missile Silo [Diorama]

- This small project was part of the Encounter Terrain 10x10 Terrain Building Competition hosted by encounterterrain.com. The parameters were straightforward; each modeller has two weeks to create a 10 cm by 10 cm diorama based on a mystery theme. The theme for the May competition was “secret weapon.” I chose to create an abandoned missile silo. The materials were a combination of plumbing supplies, cast-off foam and some 3D printed details that I made on my Ender 3 pro. I'm happy with my creation, and I loved working in competition against a diverse group of like-minded individuals who were encouraging and supportive. I suspect that I will continue with monthly challenges as they offer a nice variety to my planned projects and force a greater level of creativity.

❤ This is awesome. I'm getting into making dioramas 😊
I can see this printer being a great addition to your model making toolset.
Another absolutely fantastic video.
Just great. So many door open with the 3d printer. I'm looking to build a titan II silo.
A 3D printer is very helpful at this scale - there's so many details that are so fiddly at 1:160 it's sometimes not worth the effort - unless you can print them... 😁
Good luck on the Titan II !
Masterful. Yet again.
It’s funny, I love weathering, and I love weathering a lot. But you weather death. It’s next level. And it looks fantastic. Great work bro. I love the trees!
Thanks man - I appreciate the support! I'm looking forward to your next video - keep em' coming.
@@NScaleDystopia thanks bro! Gonna drop one this week for sure
Is that a rocket in your silo or are you just happy to see me?
Amazing work and it shows what can be made with just everyday things. I’m jealous of your creative brain.
I believe this is the first time we have seen the 3d printer. New toy? and in the words of Oliver Twist, "More please?"
The 3D printer is a recent, and very welcome, addition. I'm really excited to see what I can do with it!
This is dope
Nice one, again. Somehow I have scenes from the original Time Machine movie before my eyes, where people running scared to the airraid bunker while the sirenes wailing and the entrance of the morlok cave.
Nice work!
Boy! I jumped on this so fast I think I pulled a hammy. Beautiful work as always. Looking forward to your next one. See ya.
Thanks!
This is awesome. The only thing I would have loved to see different is one of the doors slightly ajar, like someone used the space at one time.
I agree 100%. Although I do try to plan what I'm building some of it is by the seat of my pants and some of the best ideas come to me after I'm finished the model...
