Transforming a Snap-together kit into a Sinister Service Building
*A rabies scare inspired this transformation from simple to sinister.*
ua-cam.com/video/nvz8KsSnyX4/v-deo.html
In this video, I transform a seemingly ordinary snap-together kit into a dark, twisted service building with the rabid undead lurking in the fenced storage area.
Earlier this year, I received a pair of kits that seemed deceptively mundane. After translating their labels, I found they were a "bus depot" and an "architectural model." Last month, I started a 10-minute-a-day modelling challenge and decided to include this kit. With June's unexpected rabies scare fresh in my mind, I added a macabre twist: zombies lurking in the storage area, ready to unleash chaos.
Watch as I turn the mundane into a menacing masterpiece. Stay tuned as I add more eerie structures and buildings like this to the layout in the coming months.
I'll see you next time.

10 Minutes a Day Challenge & Rabies Scare!
Переглядів 1,7 тис.21 день тому
That's right - I was bitten by a stray animal and public health was very concerned I could have contracted rabies. This unexpected event threw a wrench in my 10-minute-a-day model railroad challenge, but I pressed on. In this video, I'll update you on the various projects I've tackled this month, including creating an access panel, adding mood lighting, working on some new kits, and more. Despi...

Cheap Kit, Big Building - Modeling an N Scale Graffiti-Covered Plaza Through A Creative Lens

The Oceanwide Plaza in Los Angeles is poised to become the graffiti tribute of 2024! There's something dystopian about an abandoned billion-dollar project being overtaken by hundreds of graffiti artists, transforming it into urban art. This structure has inspired numerous modellers. Witnessing my friends craft their urban structures, I felt compelled to model my interpretation of this iconic bu...
The "Worst' GO Train - Custom Painting N Scale Locomotives for my N Scale Passenger Train Layout
Переглядів 37 тис.4 місяці тому
In this video, I tackle the challenge of custom painting cast-off locomotives from my junk box to create an unlikely GO Transit passenger train - something that might exist in a dystopia if you were forced to assemble a passenger consist based on what you could find in a railway graveyard. I rescue two F40PHs and an F7 to create a double-headed, 4-car consist with an F-unit cab car. There were ...

I use rough measurements. Corrugated steel siding is roughly 26 and 1/2 in wide. That translates to approximately 5 mm in width.

Poor zombies, waiting for a bus that will never come. Absolutely incredible work. Can’t believe you did this in 10 minutes. I actually said “whoa” out loud when you revealed the shadow layer of “Ghost”. Fantastic graffiti. You’ve inspired me.. to refill my windshield washer fluid. Thanks!

Great work! A lot of people underestimate the cheap acrylic paints. If mixed right, with the right settings it turns out very good. I personally use Apple Barrell acrylic paints on my Ho scale stuff. Usually get 1 oz for 0.50-1.00 usd at Walmart. I've had multiple people comment on how mine looks pretty good and wonder what paint I use. Always surprise them when I tell them. Although I personally just mix it with warm/room temp water compared to windshield washer fluid.

Like all the work you do, this is amazing! One bit of a recommendation would be to add a small caption on screen somewhere stating what kind of paint or what grit of sandpaper you're using. I was curious of a few of those when watching. Either way, I can't wait for the next!

Nicely done! Loving the 'surgery' sequence to turn the lil dudes into zombies :D Does anyone know the significance of the "YONK" grafitti? I saw it in this vid, and I've seen it in my neighbourhood (a whole continent away, and much less artfully presented!) - it must mean something to someone?! What this dystopia really needs now is... a pack of feral, rabid hounds! (Too soon? I like my humour dark and dry, so apologies if I overstepped with that one!). Great dystopian stuff, as always, cheers!
