This was so lovely! I'd love to see all your garden progress as you add, build, and plant. It's wonderful to see a young couple so enthusiastic about gardening and improving their home. Thank you for another beautiful video, Sage. ❤️
FYI for anyone wanting to build a bed like this with similar conditions. Buy a hole digger from Bunnings. Use it to dig up the soil, really turn that soil over. Then dump in one bag of your choice, cow poo, soil improver, compost, mushroom compost etc. then really turn that soil over. Add a light watering, with plants still in pots set them out for where you want them, then grab hole digger, dig holes, plants plants in. Another light water. Shove your finger in the ground. If it’s dry, water more. If soil sticks then it’s watered enough. If sopping wet then it’s watered too much.
I think gardening is one of the healthiest things mentally, physically, and spiritually that one can do. However, watching a lovely video about gardening is good too. 😁
I watch your videos everday, im really inspired to change the way i dress from the 1940 era but i dont have the confidence! You and James are an inspiration! Love you guys x
Same here, I love it so much but am gonna try to start small to be sure it’s what I like on me. I have very crazy frizzy hair and can’t seem to figure out the hair so it’s a struggle😔
I keep forgetting y'all are in Australia, therefore the seasons are opposite lol! So it's fall eve there, while we start spring here in the US. Great video for American viewers, your garden is beautiful.
Ok you know what especially captured my heart? You leaving through the sliding glass door and in the background you can see one of your chickens running towards you ❤️ they love you!!
Such a great video, really beautifully edited with perfect integration of music and images. The evolution of your garden is a great story and it's impressive that you documented it so well. There's nothing like the feeling of having beautiful flowers and harvesting your own vegetables! Anyway, enjoyed this a lot.
Ohhh this was SO lovely! As we are all covered in snow still in our part of the world, it's so nice to see sunshine and warmth and fresh beautiful plants! 🌱 Loved all the relaxing beautiful background music too! 🎶 Your lovely vintage channel is simply the best... Always look forward to all your videos!🥰
This video brought me so much joy. I loved seeing the garden and the happy chickens. Your videos are my anti-depressant. Young people like you and James give me hope for the world.
I am SO excited for a greenhouse video! I've seen those pins on pinterest as well and dreamed of someday making my own recycled window greenhouse. Best of luck 💕
This may be my favorite video you’ve ever done 💖 please PLEASE do a greenhouse video and more gardening videos! As someone who yearns for chickens, I just love seeing Maude and Mabel doing simple things like scratching about. 💛 You have such incredible fruits of your labors! It makes me excited to prepare my small urban garden (mostly containers) and to begin planting once we get Spring here. Love the video!!!
I know I would love to see the process of you building your greenhouse; I also would love to see any other gardening videos you might feel like making as well, whether it be flowers or vegetables. Just gives suck cozy, relaing vibes, and inspiration to start my own garden one day ☺
I love everything you've done with Maude and Mabel's area. They always make me smile! Can't wait to see the new greenhouse. It's going to be pretty awesome!
I love gardening but we are still buried in snow here in Canada so I enjoyed your video very much today! I noticed you pulled your lettuce out by the root. If you cut it instead, it will keep growing.
Beautiful and so very inspirational. I look forward to updates and the creation of the window greenhouse. I love projects based on refurbished items. They tend to have a rustic vibe… organic, cuz the items have already had a life… they have history, stories to tell (if they could talk)
What a beautiful garden. So sad about the pots dying over summer. I installed irrigation got my garden which was a great investment. I've been building my garden from scratch over the last few years. This winter I'll be putting a veggie patch in like yours.
I o adore your chanel! I look for new videos all the time’ the vintage style takes me to that time ‘ I’m a fast paced decade OTS awesome to look back’ thank you James Maude and mable of course💜💜
I love your yard! I have had several green houses over the years and have built them for clients. I strongly suggest you build the biggest green house you can because you will use every inch of it…. Imagine having a chair in it to sit in and reed seed catalogs in the rain….
It is so peaceful and relaxing watching your videos, I do love the 40s, and your home looks like a peace of calm and joyful universe. Thanks for bringing us so adorable scenarios! your garden, your vegs, flowers, chickens, everything around is adorable!
Sage, thank you for giving us these little peeks into your life. As someone who is really struggling at the moment, this video was so soothing to watch. I never comment on videos but had to comment on this one - you touch many more lives than you realise! Looking forward to seeing you realise your glasshouse dream :)
This video is therapeutic. We still have a foot of snow. Your garden looks like a beautiful refuge. Well done! 👏😍❤️ Yes, please, for a greenhouse video. 🙂
I love it! We are building our house now (with a cottage vibe to it inside and out). We have 15 chickens and I can not wait to do our yard with flowers and gardens😊
Aaah! My heart skipped a beat when the notification of your new upload popped up! I love watching your videos ❤️ thank you for continuing to make videos ❤️
This was such a lovely video. My grandmother had a gorgeous, vibrant garden when I was a child and I would help her plant, weed and harvest every year. I miss those days, the simplicity of spending a day in the soil.
Sage, I would love to see a diy video on your glass house greenhouse! I would also like to see a more in-depth video of your garden planner and all the little garden updates you do a long the way (like updates on how your seeds are doing that you've planted, and when you're planning on planting then, etc. sort of like a garden diaries episode)! I would also love to hear more about your nutritious seawood solution to water your plants (is it something you make, or is it something you can purchase in stores). I'm quite new to gardening and I would love to hear all of your tips and tricks and your favorite vegetables, flowers, etc. you like planting in your garden! This was very lovely and I love your videos and your outfit is super cute as well!
this is such a sweet nourishing video, sage, thank you! i live in a desert climate so a lot of these things i could never grow. i love being able to watch someone else grow beautiful things in their backyard 🥺
Hi Sage, I recently discovered your channel and it’s exactly my cup of tea. I really loved this gardening video, and can’t wait to see the beautiful greenhouse you create.🌱🪴🌿
I had surgery on Feb 10 and have to stay off my leg for 6 weeks. So I have sat a lot! I discovered your videos and binged them all! I love your content!,
This was a lovely, nice change to the normal videos and I loved seeing this. Your garden looks wonderful :) thank you for this, it totally made my day!
Awesome! Gardening is one of my biggest passions, I've bottled so much this season (I'm in NZ) it's so incredibly rewarding seeing all the jars lined up. Just a note though, I ALWAYS wear a mask when I'm handling bagged compost. Always. You can get Legionnaires disease from bagged potting mix/compost and it can be deadly. I'm a bit of a Mother Hubbard 😊
Another tip for your garden is to toss your eggshells and coffee grounds (although I don’t remember if you drink coffee, sorry!) into the garden during winter so it’ll break down in time for it to be tilled into your soil come spring. I think you can do the same with tea leaves, but I’m not 100% sure so that might be something to look into! Happy gardening! 😊
Wow this video brought me so much joy! 💕 I never thought about getting a green house like that. I recently purchased lots of gardening materials but it’s been so cold out that I was waiting for spring! You should get a bird feeder 🥰 I appreciate the bloopers cuz sometimes our little critters in the dirt scare me too! 😅
Lovely video as always, Sage! Thank you for this soothing dive into your cottage garden, it looks like a dream. Hope you get the glass greenhouse soon! Love from Brazil 🇧🇷❤️
There is something so relaxing and inspiring about your videos. The charm of times gone by and the simplicity of a backyard garden blend well. Well done, as usual.🌻🐓🪴🐀
Je suis trop contente que tu es sortie cette vidéo !! J’en suis à la moitié et j’adore déjà ton petit jardin !! Cette petite cabane en bois va être trop belle 🤍 bravo à tous les deux pour tout ce travail !
You are amazing Sage you do such a wonderful job, your garden I am sure will look beautiful when you have finished looks good now, you are so interesting to watch and you can learn from you honey🥰🥰
With my imagined idea of Australia, I'm always amazed in all of your vids where you're out in the garden and not being attacked by all things giant insects bc, you know, that's what the world thinks of Oz. We've seen pictures! 😋😆 But due to your apparent bravery, I have to say I love this type of video! It was so peaceful to watch so, yes, please do a video/series on the making of your greenhouse! Also, I just LOVE how the chickens are always so invested in whatever it is you are doing near their coop. Love to see them in all the vids too (and James! Love seeing him always there to help you make your ideas a reality. 🥰)! lol
What a beautiful garden! And I love your ideas and layout. It's still winter here in the US but some of my daffodils are peeking up in the front yard! So spring is on its way! Thanks for sharing your tip for growing carrots. I've been thinking about starting a veggie garden and that was very helpful. And thanks for sharing as always! Hope nursing school is going well❤
Lovely ❤ and may I just say that is a gorgeous straw hat! I love the bow! Also wanted to mention they're a UA-camr I watch called DIY Dani who recently built a greenhouse from windows just like you want to, and watching her videos on how she did it might help with your planning and inspiration. 🙂🪴
Your videos always brighten my day! You have such a lovely garden, & wonderful ideas. My father built a greenhouse for my mother last year out of old windows a neighbor was throwing away, & I love it so much, & want one too!
You can build a green house by using wood and plexiglass and you could drill holes into the plexiglass to affix screws to the wood to hold the green house up.
I think the yard/garden transformations over the time has been a wonderful testament that all the pretty things take time.. they are not insta-ready... Thank you for sharing this.. You have indirectly reminded me that all good things take a little bit of effort and time.. and your place is turning out BeAutiful!
Watching Ratched on Netlfix and how it inspired me cause it was based in the 1940s as well and how they were dressed and so much bright colors and im in love with the fashion, classy life its just perfect. Thanks for sharing! ❤️
Yes please to a video on building the recycled green house. I wanted to but our garden is so narrow. I have a half green house now which works in the garden but always wanted a beautiful glass one.
OMG listening to you speak about your flower bed adjacent to the chickens, and then they start “talking” in the background ❤️❤️❤️💜💜💜💜 reminded me of The Wizard of Oz💕💕💕 Dorothy’s chickens would make noises when she was getting ready to sing or speak to the others on the farm 🥰🥰🥰🥰. I believe Sage has a video on how to start dressing vintage a little at a time. You could start with skirts or trousers and go from there.
Aw that’s okay, take your time and wear what you feel comfortable in! Sending lots of love!! 💞 xoxo
@@SageLilleyman thankyou so much xoxo

Of COURSE we want to see video of the greenhouse build! 🌱🌼
It's so cute to see your chickens waiting for you to dig up more worms.

@@SageLilleyman that’s great! Same goes for other green veg like swiss chard, spinach and kale.
