During your initial demo, I was thinking it would sound much better with an extra note leading into the "1" ... then you intro the Gadd version with the extra note. The extra note, while seemingly insignificant, makes a notable difference in my opinion.

Your sticks look very similar to the Dave Weckl model I like. Mine also have the finish worn off on the shoulder. Now they've been discontinued. 😢
I actually managed it pretty well playing air drums. Great tutorial Sir. Thanks. At around 255bpm, it's a wonderful Techno/Hard house rhythm.
