- Short clip of William Christopher at the M*A*S*H Last Episode Press Conference. January, 1983. We were shooting film so we had to be selective about filming or not. I wish we had more footage of Christopher because he was really good.
William Christopher was always Father Mulcahey during and after the show.
What a voice, kind and careful personality, orator of words.
RIP Father Mulcahey. You will probably be the last in the long list of legends 2016 has taken from us.
I was a reporter on the story. The film was thrown out, but I rescued it.
Alan Sivell good man!
Thank you so much for having saved that 16mm footage and it's sound. Was that magnetic sound or optical?

Terrific person you’re missed William
I LOVE WILL CHRISTOPHER! HE IS SO SWEET!
About 15 years after this, I saw a revival of the play The Odd Couple starring Jamie Farr and William Christopher. It was a great thrill to be so physically close to these actors I had admired for years.
RIP William Christopher. On a sadder note, Wayne Rogers died one year ago today.
Rest in Peace, William.
Didn’t realize how cute Christopher was.
good job allan! god, i miss this show. i watch all episodes from time to time...just finished again recently...
I found out that Richard Hooker who wrote the book M*A*S*H was based on was an army surgeon during the Korean War.
RIP
Rip
he will be 84 this month
I was just thinking about him earlier,
didn't know this until now.
I Love M*A*S*H
Where did you get this footage from?
the uploader says somewhere in this thread he was a reporter at the press conference and later rescued the film of the press conference from the trash
@@eatpigsnot Which goes to show how much(Little) the media really cares!!!
I watched the original movie, and loved it. I never watched the TV series. Was he in both ? Sorry if that seems like a stupid question, but I am British and the series never really interested me here (although it was available).
peterc , william Christopher was only in the tv series, and the spin off After M* a * s * h.
the character Father Mulcahy was in the movie but Gary Burghoff was the only actor to appear in both the movie and tv series, playing Radar in both
The late great George "G" Wood as "General Hammond" and the late great Rene Auberjonois as "Father Mulcahy" were alongside Gary Burghoff the only Actors to appear in both The Movie and The Sitcom IIRC.🤔🎤👨⚕️👩⚕️🎥📺B.W.
Worst character on the show.
You wanna fight bro?
He had a right hook that could knock your lights out .....
I liked the character of Father Mulcahy. For me, B.J. was the worst character.
Hm, most ppl loved Father, and BJ……..
