This is the best tutorial that I have seen for the Zhiyum Smooth 5. I have looked at other 'recommended' videos but I found them frustrating, as I tried to understand my first gimble.

4:40: you said you can charge your phone while using it on the gimbal, but there is no way to get access to your phone's charging port 😂 this is probably a huge design flaw.

awesome stuff! just an fyi, you don't have to actually turn the whole gimbal around in a circular movement for the vortex mode. just simply push the joystick up or down and it'll do it for you! (it took me a while to figure that out)

Hi, Firstly, thank you for the ZHIYUN smooth 5 review. It is good and comprehensive too. But I would like to know if I'm using Samsung Note 10 lite, Would I able to get all the features of Smooth 5 on the Gimbal as well as the apps function properly? As most of the reviews was made with iPhone, so I'm wondering the Smooth 5 will actually good for Android phone.

Only can use 1080P 30 fps and 4K 30 fps modes. The gimbal has not been updated for newer phones. DJI is just as bad with Android limits to 30 fps. What a joke in 2023.. who records 30 fps 1080P? it's useless, and you certainly can't slow it down for fx

How are you supposed to charge your phone when the charging port is right against the tilt motor?!
Will it control 3 party apps like beastcam or other video apps
How does the video quality differ since you have to record in the camera app the gimbal requires? I know some alternate camera apps will have different looks to them.
Video quality in the native app is generally better than using the Zy Cami or StaCam
Does yours ever freak out and jerk all around.? It won’t let me calibrate it either? Thinking I need to send it back. But maybe it’s user error..

Just got mine and kinda bummed cinematic mode in the app isn’t an option as I have the 13pro max
yeah that really sucks...I have the same phone and with cinematic it could deliver some really nice results. I think its probably still useful to some extent without the app.

I have bought smooth 5 recently but I didn’t do my due diligence. Now I find that DJi OM5 is a better gimbal.

@@a.k1102 it’s more user friendly as simple as that. I have been using smooth 5 for a while and I think I made a huge mistake buying it. Also read the reviews. Also DJI is a bigger brand.

Is it big amd heavy?
Doesn’t fold well for travel, but it’s lightweight
There is a big problem with this gimble. The gimble cannot stabilize video if in camera stabilization is turned off. Also because of the very short phone holder (mostly android) even after balancing the phone remains off centered.
How do I know that the device is fully charged?

Why I have to pay some functions of the app if I have just payd for the gimbal??? Also, the app has many issues. I am very very nervous. Where is the Zhiyun reputation? Quickly solve all issues and give all free for your gimbal customers. Hop, hop, come on!!!

has anyone use this with iphone 13 pro max with any issue?
Sometimes it changes orientation inadvertently when tilting, but it’s more substantial than the om5, which I had to return.
None of these videos explain how crucial it is to have a iPhone to get full functionality.
why do u say that ? you can use the gimbal on filmic on android so what functionalities are there that were missing on?
good gimbal, bad software. pano 3x3 doesnt work for the most phones
Average review only. Instead of talking about selfexplaining parts better explain and give examples of each tracking mode. This is the main reason for a gimbal.
And, BTW, you could not find a smaller microphone or a less prominent place. Sometimes I thought it is a review about a microphone.
