One more day! 🎉❤
I think my favourite was Lorenzo’s lightning shot. Absolutely stunning.
Thank you so much Emily 🙏 an honorable mention and a Top 10 spot, I’m beyond happy 😆 Thank you so much for the kind comments too 😭
The duck in the light was also a great one.
The second place photograph is definitely my favourite.
Yea! And it should be possible to get a flying pig over the power station.
@@Ulrich.Bierwisch That's! with or without the flying pig.
Well not to be biased, but I like the winning photo😂. Massive thank you for choosing my picture Emily, it was your channel that got me back into photography and has helped me so much x
Congratulations it is a beautiful image
👏👏 to all entrants and to Emily for everything she does for photography and for M43 too.
Thank you very much for the honourable mention. So nice to be included in such esteemed company. Love this group and the great images that are produced. Cheers
I think a lot of the honorable mentions have great quality. The picture of people bathing in the waves by soumya mukherji have a unique painting-like quality which really appeals to me.
My favourite is Lorenzo's lightning photo. I would definitely try something similar when we have a thunderstorm.
I also like how the light of the lighthouse coincides with the gap in the clouds in the first prize photo.
Very nice photo critique, the submissions were high quality and I particularly enjoyed Lorenzo's lightning skies and the 3rd place, well done !
❤ Well done everyone! Great photos 🎉
All the photos in this challenge are really inspiring photography. My personal favourites are the first photo by karlpics, really liked the composition, the long exposure carousel by Philip Bailey, the long exposure from the railway station by Janne Lehto and the duck with the dramatic waterfalls in the background by Howard Whiting made me smile.
Wow! Thank you so much for your kind critique, Emily! I'm so happy right now, to see my photo next to all the other excellent photos is really encouraging for me. Congratulations to the winners!
Nice critique video Emily! Some very high quality photos in this video
I've learned two things from watching this video. 1. Never climb a mountain and then watch a video while a big Tom cat is purring in your ear. Max 🙀 wasn't the only one purring!😅😉 2. This video was even better the second time!❣️👍😉 Another master class, Emily! You have so much to offer❤ Grateful🙏
Congratulations everyone! I feel everyone is a winner as they are all of such high quality and technique.
Thank you Emily for this great challenge!
And congratulations to the winners! Well
Deserved, great images ❤
Congrats to all of the talented winners.
Fabulous photos and critique, so inspiring. Thank you!
Delightfully presented! Great photos and great inspiration!
I love the traffic light image by John. Awesome colours and lighting.
You have an amazing channel and a great personality. I like the one with the special light and the duck but all imagies are stunning!
She really has the most pleasant voice.
6:37 Thank you for you kind comment Emily. Hope to have more chances to participate in the following months 😊
Hi Emily, those images look awesome! I like looking at the different comparisons. I learn lots from these vlogs!
All bangers. Loved them.
Congrats winners.
thanks so much for including my light painting colourful image in your top 10 I really appreciate it mate, thanks! Keep up the great videos!!
I hope you'll be able to keep making these contests for the whole year if not longer.
Wow some superb images, inspiration
One of my favorite channels.
Congratulations everyone, all images are amazing.
More videos like this! Love seeing peoples art
Thank you for the honourable mention. They were all fab shots!
The quality of submissions was pretty stunning, I'll agree.
amazing photos! well done everyone :)
Very inspiring.
I loved the second placed entry. 👌🏻
I think the Image by Howard is simply stunning. Used live composite this month to. I'm glad to see my favourite mode in my EM1 mk2 getting some deserved love
Absolutely, live composite is just perfect for the prompt, I was so glad to see so many great examples!
Please can you do a video a video on the most capapable cameras you can actually fit in your pocket? I'd love to get something with a retractable lens that actually fits in my normal pocket :)
I really liked Gavin Vickers photo (2nd Place) at 12:58 of the Power Station. Was this used on a Pink Floyd album cover? Cheer's from Vancouver Canada.
I would have probably placed them a little differently, but it's all subjective. All are really good photos in different ways. Photography is such a good and diverse medium.
Oh damn how didn’t I know about this
Lorenzo wins for me ❤🙌🏽
This is a great competition concept, and it got me out of the house, hunting for nature and landscape motives today. I got a couple of good shots, prepared them and submitted them, but since this is my first time taking part in this, I did a couple of mistakes. On both photos I just posted a title, as I thought "caption" meant "title". I later discovered that I could have elaborated so much more. I also actually submitted the wrong file for one of the photos.
So ... is there any way to edit the entries? Or delete and resubmit?
You can always resubmit 😊 thanks for joining in!
Congratulations to the 600+ contestants who submitted images to be judged.
Leaning on things because I don’t carry a tripod. Is a great workaround. Mailboxes. Cars. I even push my body against a stable like a building to create stillness for my image.
My favorite image is at 7:46. The four people descending the steps into the subway. Love the colors. The tricky thing, for me, is finding the right shutter speed. Too fast and all you get are color streaks. For me, that means the exposure is too long. A slightly blurry person means the exposure was too fast. I strive in my images to have something in focus so you know what it is. I also prefer images of people. Well done Janne Lehno.
Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)
👏👏👏
Wow. some fabulous photos there, how on earth did you pick a winner or indeed a top 3?
Thanks!
Thanks so much very kind of you! 🙏☺️
The second place image was my fav.
Hi can I ask your advice please, I know it's not to do with today's video, but more to-do with one video of yours from a year ago when you mentioned the Panasonic G90. |So here goes. " Hi. My question is. I have bought the G90 quite recently and I think the screen seems a bit "dull" to me, do you think this as well? I am comparing it to my G9 and my (GX9 sold that for the G90) and also to my pocket TZ200, and my GX8 sold that as well. Thanks Ken" thank you for your answer in advance.
Hi! It isn't a camera I currently own, but in the settings of most Lumix cameras you can adjust the brightness of the screen. It might be set to low, or power saving. If that isn't the problem, then make sure you shoot with a histogram on screen so you know you're exposing correctly 😊
@@MicroFourNerds thank you for your swift reply. I will go through the settings again. As I said I have got other Lumix cameras and also sold some. Although I know the Menu's I will have another look. Thanks Ken
@@ProbablyAnAmateur Thank you very much, but I have that set to the brightest. The thing that I noticed is that on my G9 that has back lit, and my G90 doesn't have that ?
Whats live composite. Never heard of it.
Fabulous photos - how can they possibly be ranked? And what a nice community! I aspire to submit a photo one day :)
Definitely do! It's a lot of fun ☺️
All the images were exceptional and indeed inspirational. In fact I'm going to have a play with Live Composite mode on my G9m2.
BTW like your sweatter. I mostly wear a Slytherin baseball cap and so far a total of three people have ever noticed or commented on it. All the cool kids are in the Green Team.🤣
Team Green! 🙌
@@MicroFourNerds I've just entered your April competition. 🤣
Haha. I guess I should have waited to change my instagram name 😂. Thanks for the honorable mention!
Arrgh! Typical 😂 so sorry! Stick a timestamp to your photo in a comment and put your new handle so people can find you ☺️
Camera Conspiracies is really upset that his squirrel did not make the cut. LOL
😂
First. Yes, I'm childish.
😁 I genuinely love getting these comments haha
Thank you Emily for the kind words. I feel proud being included with this months group. @johng.fxd
