@@jasonkimball3206 I disagree, with that small of equity you can't expect Lori to put effort into making it huge, especially if she will be enjoying royalty regardless. Lower equity isn't always the answer, in my opinion.

@@krrangarajan5391 Pets have a way of t truly becoming a family member. You do see them as something like your "kid". Not just dogs either. Our cats are friggin spoiled out the butt. Our guinea pig too. It literally has its own bedroom and gets fresh salad every day. lol
Pawtree did it first, they sell pet food seasonings that are for both dogs and cats! My pup loved them.
Genius idea, older dogs tend to become bored of eating the same and this could be a great alternative.
How does that seem boring?? You are giving them things you prefer. They would prefer probably wildly hunting and eating random animals. But I don't think they care at all. They're not humans. They eat whatever you give and they didn't have to work for.

Once Kevin says his deal you know they are going to jump on any deal that is better. Kevin deal was just made to make the other sharks get a better deal.

With 3% equity good luck getting Lori to market this product. She's acting like a bank. She will get all her money back no matter what happens to the business plus 25 cents per unit for ever. It's a leach-y deal. Mark asked for 25% because he wants to scale up the business.

Nobody is talking about how good that throw was. Anyway, Kevin messed up. Had he not gotten so greedy and structured his deal as a good mix of royalty and equity, he could have had it.
When Kevin makes those bad offers, he’s actually already out. Giving the other sharks a chance to get a better deal than what’s being offered. Kevin always does this

I’ve always had dogs and cats. This stuff sounds great. My pups definitely get bored of dry kibbles (always some left out to munch) and stinky wet food. I often boil chicken breasts for them or boil hamburger meat to brighten their day. I’d try this product.
Cats don’t need this, sprinkle cat nip on their food. Usually works.
I'd argue that cats do need this. Many cats don't react to catnip at all. Mine ignores the stuff. You're also just eliciting a pheromonal response which while may be euphoric to some cats isn't really the same as feeding them something tasty that they'll enjoy.

To counter Maria's point, after a while of feeding your dog the same dog food, they somehow lose a little interest in it. So adding new flavors, instead of looking for an entirely new brand or something, every now and then would help out a lot too.

Lots of pets need enticement to enjoy their food more (noticed this a lot in older pets with chronic kidney disease, in particular) and this is a stellar solution for achieving that without deviating too much from their controlled diet (which is extra important because these patients often are on prescription foods). This has useful medical implications, along with just being an awesome idea. And yeah anyone who thinks this won't take off underestimates dog owners lol, I have two pups and would absolutely collect all flavors!
Those prescription foods probably make them feel like crap. You give medicine to something that can't tell you how it makes them feel or effects them.
@@ASmith-jn7kf You're greatly underestimating the expressiveness of pets, the empathy and awareness of their owners and caretakers, and the objective usefulness of data (both from monitoring tests on a single patient, and data about overall patient outcomes at scale when given different treatment protocols). I assure you, a dog that is _not_ dying of their chronic kidney disease (for instance) is much, much more playful and happy and enjoying much greater quality of life than a dog that is. It doesn't take much time around them to see these differences.
Your values are great, it's awesome that you're concerned for the quality of life of pets. But your assumptions are totally misplaced and don't align with the overwhelming amount of factual evidence out there.
Mark is smart! I know many people who buy add-ins for their dog's food, including meat, gravy and wet food. Glad he did a deal with them.

yeah - dogs are instinctually self- regulating. When they're hungry, they'll eat.
Dogs that live in seasonal climates cut way back on their consumption when the weather turns hot. Burning calories creates heat within their bodies.. they often only eat after sunset.
Yet dogs are domesticated and programed for human convenience now - much like the Pavlovian Bell.
it's water that they need daily. Dogs can go a week without eating food before it really begins to affect them beyond their bowel movements. But they'll hunt & scavenge before waiting a week.
Yet they can't go long without water.
I'm sure there's some $13.95 per gallon designer Pizza flavored water for dogs that'll show up on next Shark tank episode

Be careful - there's an awful lot of additives, preservatives, food fresheners that they don't have to list under the ingredients.
