- A continuation of my first and second videos "Hyundai W240D LCD Monitor Screen Flicker 1 and 2"
Hyundai collected the monitor on the 12th January, it arrived back to me on the 5th February. So what has Hyundai got to show for almost a months work? See the video... if you can't put two and two together, my original fault still exists and to add insult to injury, I noticed 2 small black marks on the screen which will not rub off. I came to the conclusion that these 2 marks are actually behind the screen.
So there you have it... Hyundai shall hear from me first thing Monday (8th February 2010)

UPDATE:
Got my monitor back today... I cannot confirm if the flickering has been fixed as it's too early but the dirt has gone.
Something much worse has happened now though... they have replaced my PVA panel with a TN. This is unacceptable, if I wanted the TN version, I would have selected that version and saved myself over £100.
I am not sure what to do now, their telephone line isn't working and they aren't replying to emails....
I have this monitor and I find that monitor overheats.. for a while I have had a tiny fan in the bottom of the monitor blowing up to the monitor some cooler air ,to cool it down.. next I have to take the and make some holes to the back or something..
This was caused by a dying panel which was replaced and solved the problem. i don't use this monitor anymore though, gave it away to a family member (still works fine today) i now use the AOC Q2770PQU 27" Monitor for gaming and photo editing. Amazing, affordable monitor.

Hello, I'm experiencing the same problem. What kind of panel needs to be replaced? Can you specify some details?
+Тарас Постумент the panel in the monitor needs replacing. This monitor comes in TN and PVA flavours. My monitor was PVA but the repair company (repairtech) put in a lower quality TN which I complained and got corrected.
@jhunte99
I couldn't get through to Hyundai Repair Tech via telephone as I constantly get a busy tone. I tried emailing but got no response. I had to contact Repair Tech on another number with a different department who tells me the monitor will be with me tomorrow (Friday 19th).
What do you mean when you said you THINK you got a TN panel back? The serial number sticker at the back will state if it's PVA or TN unless the exterior was kept and just the insides were changed.
@gohan2091 What did you end up doing with it? I'm in a 7 month process with mine so far. They sent it back twice and I think the second time I got the TN panel too. I think I'm close to getting it back a third time in the next week or two. Almost everyone who has bought this monitor has had this issue from what I've seen on forums.
Hi, how is your monitor now? I have the exact same problem, sent it in, came back same problem, sent it in again, came back with what I think is a TN panel and I paid for the PVA version! plus this doesn't work either! I'm from the UK too and I can't get through to their repair centre. I'm sick of this and I want a full refund.
did you ever get this fixed?
@jonnyrco Read my comments and you will know
If I get this monitor back tomorrow and it has the same problems or it's a lower quality TN panel, I am going to go insane and may contact Trading Standards. This is not fun! What shocking customer service, by far the worst i've ever experienced.
