It probably helps but looking at that grey, it looks like UA-cam's compression adds some lines to it too - I thought the burn-in on my display was far worse than it actually is, loading up Photoshop and copying the grey and filling it didn't show the lines.

No This method will further damage your display pixels. How it works? By keeping the brightness high and playing this video on full screen will start burning the rest of the pixels to match the colours of those areas that have been burned. You're not solving your issue, you're damaging it even more. For some it might have taken 10+ hours to match the colours. It means, it took 10+ hours to damage the rest of the pixels that were okay to match those that have been ruined. Every display has burn-in issue it's not only common for Amoled displays happens even on LCD panels, but we often don't see the burn in issue on LCDs because their colors get faded evenly which is not true for OLEDs because their pixels don't degrade evenly that's why we notice burn-in issues on OLED panels more often. So, don't try this method, rather help people who don't know about it. And don't read the positive comments all of them aren't serious.

This works best if you turn up the brightness to 100%, because static images cause burn in when the display is at full or more than 50% of brightness. To prevent burn in, lower your brightness, use only 50% of brightness.
Jake, if you want the burn to fully go away you have to put your phone at 100% and watch the video on full screen then after the video put the brightness back to normal and you should not see the keyboard burn

Understand your screen before you "fix" it. If you have screen burn the video burns the rest of your screen to match so you dont notice it, thereby making the screen worse. If that's what you're after then fair enough but please understand what you're doing before you're doing it. Long story short: it doesn't fix it, it just ruins the rest of your screen to match
How would it ruin it? The burn in itself doesn't ruin the display, it's just annoying. Does it make it less sensitive to touch? Ruin the picture quality? Look less bright? Nobody has said how making it match the burn in is actually harmful
Surprisingly, this test works pretty well on my phone! A few days ago i notice a burn screen, yellowish color. So i just play this video multiple times, the yellow color is no more appear when i open grey or white background
I'm impressed, I have the standart TikTok/Reels/notification bar burn in on my S22 Ultra. The video didn't completely fix it, but there is definitely a difference even after only 8 minutes.
Screen burn in is a problem for any oled. That includes samsung and even iphone x. OLED displays can produce very saturated colors plus true blacks and in a way it appeals to most people. The only way to prevent screen burn in is not to leave a static images on your phone's display for a long time and especially with high brightness. It is best to minimize screen timeout to minimize this the probability of it happening. I do hope a company find an alternative way of preventing screen burn in
Screen burn comes from the user turning the screen brightness up past the recommended brightness, it is even marked in red and gives you a warning that problems can occur but obviously the human race is just absolutely retarded..
@@TECHTRUTHUNVEILED not true. In my Note 8 it does that from the start and haven't changed a thing. Just checked and there's no such thing as daylight mode either in the settings. Besides, brightness shouldn't matter else why offer that beightness to begin with? The fact of the matter, some screens are just faulty. Causing these burn in issues. There's little to nothing you can do about it. And it sucks.
Mine (S8+) shows 3 'potential' burn-in marks/lines: one on top of the display where it shows the time, battery, signal strength, etc.; and two lines which indicate both borders of when I watch a 16:9 video. Just discovered it recently and hope this is temporary. Only been using it after 6 months.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro here. Same thing along with the Facebook bar (notifications - Friend Requests - News Feed). Only been using the device for about 5 months :(
Definintly don't do that. It wears out your pixels. It doesn't actually magically fix your burn in. That can only be achieved by replacing the display. Burn-in marks are worn out pixels. These videos hide these spots by wearing out the other pixels on the screen. So while the marks will be gone, you will lose picture quality. I don't recommend watching videos like these except you really want to fix burn-in on your screen.

My screen burn is weird. Looking directly at the phone, the colors are fine. But tilt the phone to any angle and a pink hue shows up. Is this very light screen burn or is it something else?
I take it that these "wow it worked" commenters don't even have amoled display because this did nothing to my amoled burn-in. And how could it when burn in is caused by partially worn-out pixels. They can't be revived or repaired. Played it through 3 times with max brightness. Only way to fix it would be taking image that caused burn in, convert it to negative and view it for several hours with 100% brightness so that rest of the pixels degrade to same level as burned in pixels.

Long story short: it doesn't fix it, it just ruins the rest of your screen to match
Does it cause any other problems? Or will it be harmless
Unfortunatley my S9's homebar is still burned into my phone 😭
Get rid of navigation bar if you can before it happens.
I'm impressed, I have the standart TikTok/Reels/notification bar burn in on my S22 Ultra. The video didn't completely fix it, but there is definitely a difference even after only 8 minutes.
did u completely fix it
I'm pretty sure all it did was burn it more to make it more even lol, so uh, good luck
Every techs r talking about samsung s amoled display is nice
But why they r not talking about
Screen burn issue in display
Why its happens ?
Plzz help
@@TECHTRUTHUNVEILED you do know that Samsung Note 8 automatically go to red max brightness during the day under sunlight, right?
It only goes into (outdoors mode) if you have it set to do so.. it does NOT have it set to do so with out you changing it..
I had my keyboard burned into my iPhone 6 and this helps it comes back but every time I watch this it goes away so thanks m8
IPhone 6 isn't a oled
Thank you for the videi. Fixed the screen retention issue on my LG G6! 👍
i had a little blue hanging pixel and just after 1 minute of this video it was gone. Thank you man!!
Bon Jorte Badiango LEGIT SAME STORY WITH ME.
Same here as well
Bon Jorte Badiango same
Did it fix yet
Huawei Mate 9 Pro here. Same thing along with the Facebook bar (notifications - Friend Requests - News Feed). Only been using the device for about 5 months :(
I had a very miner burn in and it's completely gone thank you so much 💓💓💓❤
This worked reccomend if u have a green screen on ur phone and glitches
I have an iPhone 12 pro max and I found a burn in, a question: do I have to view this video with the brightness at maximum or low? Thank you
OMG THANKS THIS ACTUALLY WORKED I WAS SCARED AND THIS FIXED IT!!!!!! 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
I have an oled and I think it actually fixed it or I just can’t see it anymore
Do you think it’s safe to use this often even though I don’t see any signs of burn in? 🤗
@@hewe0157 i have a spare old motorola droid turbo 2 which I only use for tracking my runs, i keep this phone as where I live mobiles get snatched quite a lot. The screen has a lot of burnt pixels (battery, time, lower buttons, etc.) Should i watch this or not?
I bought a Galaxy S9 and an iPhone X at the same time 3 years ago, the iPhone Oled is perfect but the S9 Oled has a lot of burn ins, keep in mind both panels were manufactured by Samsung but Apple still design and quality check their Samsung made screens.
This doesnt work for my S8 with burn in :(
same
Thank u so much i had a slightly visible burn in and i literally freaked out and i know that this is screen retention played the video and it is gone thank u so much worked
Fact:if you start to see slightly burn then seek for solution fast or watch this video or it might get more visible and will be hard to remove
This helped greatly... Thank you👍👍
Thank you. My phone had a minor burn, I ran the video 3 times and it was gone.
This video must view on full brightness or auto ? I have an S8 Display burn-in on keyboard..
Full brightness works better.
Same problem on my S8+.
A had a LG v30 for 4 month now and there's a burn in on the top half of the screen exactly where UA-cam video's are cut off watching in portrait mode. I wonder if OLED iPhones has this type of issue as well, since i might want to switch to it
The new one does, because it uses the same technology called oled. Your not safe anywhere xD
Maverick 27 omg same with my s8+ there's a huge cut off at the top and it pisses me off😤😤
yes my note 8 have it as well and it has an oled panel.
the iphone XR has a ips display.
@@boostedforte5555 Yea Because its the budget version
Thank you so much. It really worked for me. You've been a great help.
Why the super omled display burn in and how long it will take to burn in
Wow it worked just played the video 2 times....😚
Didn't work. Tiktok's layout is burned in my phone and I thought this would help but no.. I'll try again tomorrow but I don't have much hope..
Same with me, let me know if you find a way to fix it 😔
@@XTadeobuscusX
There is a way but it costs money. I assume you heard of it but you need to go and get it fixed at a phone repair center and I don't even know if it's permanent.
Thank you this fixed my burn great stuff!
Liar
@@FlorinFlorin-um2ot No its workint
Who says screen burn cannot be repaired . This video has fixed it.
wtf are all those lines?? :/
martijn wevel Don't worry is a video problem, Just pause the video when there are those lines, and put your screen on vertical/orizontal, if those lines will not dissappear, you can understand that is not a screen problem.. That's what i think
martijn wevel It’s happening to me as well 😭😭😭😞😒
this actually helped my s7 edge screen burn in to be less noticeable thank you
On my S5 there's a screen burn in of my keyboard and the Google search bar
And I'm pretty sure this video made it worse somehow :( WHY SAMSUNG, WHY
Fixed it?
lol I had no problems with any of my screens but suddenly youtube started recommending those types of videos and this one seems a vibe
s8 already has a burn in display
my gs7 got it and Im trying a color app right now. I honestly might want my next phone to be Ips since I don't have to deal with this stuff anymore.
mclaren444 yep the on screen buttons also made have it now
@@greenespirit4973 Just be sure not to get the new iphones either, they use oled also.
LastStopGaming The new oled iphones have software that helps with oled problems
@@greenespirit4973 that doesn't mean there immune though 😉
Its actually surprising but this kind of works. I have a blue line from where I watched UA-cam and it sorta stayed along with some of the text and this video started to fade it. I am curious if I use full screen with upped brightness will it show better results?
So is everyone here because of tik tok?
Yeah and WhatsApp
In low brightness there have slightly reddish screen in left side not always visible some particular apps and settings app is thar burn or normal?
In iphone 13 pro max
WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS IF UA-cam SHOWS A WATERMARK ON THE BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER??
+AppleToaster it shouldn't show a watermark, maybe check if there are any settings enabled on your device that are making one appear?
AppleToaster To forever advertise this channel on your phone. You shall never escape this youtube channel. Mwahahah
This video deserves a lot of likes!!! I have a Samsung Galaxy A52 5G and the only issue i had with this phone was a burn in thing that was the Tik Tok For you page like, the likes sign, comments etc and it was annoying but besides that i had/have no issue with this phone, i am so proud of this phone! I have a realme 7 pro , from the beginning of using this device I am always using dark mood, Android immersive full display, and my brightness is always below 50 % but whenever I play pubg it's always 100 % and this causes my display burn in or image retention. a few days ago I noticed this display burn in or image retention it's showing pubg control buttons, weapons button and etc but I only see this ghost images when the display is white screen or sky image mostly it's not that much visible but it's visible , I did everything to prevent this burn in problem and I also uninstall pubg . Today I found this video and at first I checked the comment section and every one saying their problems was solved after playing this video 2 times or 3 Times, so I tried this video 4 times but I am sorry to say after Playing this video 4 times it doesn't help me at all 😭.
Worked on my Chromebook Pixel. Thanks!
chromebooks suck
although its not wrong to have an opinion
TCMine haha I agree, the only reason I have a Chromebook is because my dad got it at work for free (I installed Linux on it though so it's better now)
ohh
Would this work for stuck pixels? My Oculus Quest has a stuck pixel on the top left corner of the left screen
Thank you so much 🥺🙏🙏💖💖
I wanna thank this video so much! It worked and I don't want to make the same mistake from my last phone....it blacked out...so I'm trying to fix this new phone that has burn in and it worked!! TYSM!!

Please tell me how long you played it and the brightness

Should have uploaded in hdr for the highest brightness
it worked for me. might be a temporary fix though.
My screen burn is weird. Looking directly at the phone, the colors are fine. But tilt the phone to any angle and a pink hue shows up. Is this very light screen burn or is it something else?
Thank you so muchhhhhhh

What about the pink line on iPhone???
This is not helping its permanent... i have candy crush on my screen!
Does it help if you change the Display?
@@milan57898 no... nothing i have tried
Do i need to maximize my brightness?
Wtf! I was so skeptical but still tried it for fucks sake and it worked! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Sujal Thomas which phone dit it worked?
On the top of phone screen looks pinking white and on bottom real white any fix xsmax oled
It has worsen
I take it that these "wow it worked" commenters don't even have amoled display because this did nothing to my amoled burn-in. And how could it when burn in is caused by partially worn-out pixels. They can't be revived or repaired. Played it through 3 times with max brightness. Only way to fix it would be taking image that caused burn in, convert it to negative and view it for several hours with 100% brightness so that rest of the pixels degrade to same level as burned in pixels.
don't work
This video not work within one go if you have very *severe* burn-in, if the burn-in in very bad you should search for a longer video (about 1-3 hours may work well)
If you only have a little burn-in, you could try running this video a few more times, the worse the burn-in is the longer you'd have to run the video
