Babysitting baby gibbons

- During my volunteering at EPRC, I was babysitting baby gibbons. They were playing freely on a tree or playground and with toys made especially for them. Sometimes they also jumped on me.
The Endangered Primate Rescue Center is a not for profit project dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, breeding, research and conservation of Vietnams endangered and critically endangered primate species.

Codziennie osierocone gibońce górskie Milo i Xue Xich są „wyprowadzane na spacer”. W tym przypadku nie oznacza to bynajmniej prowadzeniagibońców na smyczy, a siadania przy drzewie, na którym zwierzaki te mogą się wyskakać i wybawić. I was thinking that if I were in her place, I would be grinning from ear to ear the whole time. Then I remembered that other primates regard bare teeth as an aggressive expression. Does the poor girl have to suppress her joy for professional reasons?
I am touched that I am able to work with all wthese wonderfuls animals, but most of them had sad stories. Their mom were killed (by people or other animals), some of them went through hell. And being the mom for orphaned animals is quete hard work, so sometimes you just don't have power to smile. That's the reality :)
My favorite animal by far = the funky Gibbons...

You can have it. You just have to study your ass off doing a Phd. Believe me, it is much more difficult than you might think. It takes a complete dedication and delayed reward type of personality. However, all that work that you've done gives you, years after, a great satisfaction of the work done.

Peter Bilt I think they are the fastest animal in the world as far as tree to tree travel off the ground, adults are incredibly fast and agile.

Muszę ci przyznać, że masz polskie geny. Tak się patrzę i sobie myślę: ale ona jest podobna do Polki, pewnie ma polskie korzenie. A później patrzę nazwę kanału i rzeczywiście jest polish. Taka tam ciekawostka. Trafiłem tutaj przypadkiem z powodu Naczelnych. Rzeczywiście interesujące zwierzęta, aż chciałoby się je mieć w Polsce.
Droga Gosiu czy wolno spytać gdzie robisz te cudne filmiki, czy to pasja czy pracujesz z małpkami? Nie znam angielskiego i stąd pytanie. Pozdrawiam👍
Od wielu lat jeżdżę na wolontariaty do ośrodków rehabilitacyjnych i sierocińców dla dzikich zwierząt. Większość playlist nosi nazwy ośrodków jak np. EPRC (Endangered Primate Rescue Centre) - ośrodek dla naczelnych w Wietnamie, w którym został zrobiony ten film.
Staram się pod angielskimi opisami zamieszczać też polskie:)

Um these aren't pets right
Unfortunately they were kept as "pets" and they were rescued and I was taking care of them at rescue center. They were babies and they were used to people , so they need "mom", but when they got older we spent with them less and less time with them.

There is an Asian couple on Facebook that has a baby Gibbon and it's definitely being mistreated!
Poor baby, These one were rescued too. I don't understand people who want to have a wild animals as pets :(
What I would give to spend a morning with some gibbons!! They have such wonderful personalities full of fun and mischief. I despair for all our fellow creatures that endure such horrors because of human greed and indifference.
