I feel like Tom really is a Chameleon, physically, mentally and cosmetically. He looks completely different now than 2 years ago…obviously he’s broke his nose and beefed up but he looks like a completely different guy, he bumbles more now than previous interviews yet speaks perfectly clear in Audi adverts. He has multiple accents and personalities dependant on who he’s with and speaking to. Since promoting venom he has become more laid back in interviews. He was really stand offish on the Revenant interviews much like his cold character. A real testament to his profession, Oscar worthy.
To add to that profile: here He's also acting like eddie sometimes, like he is in character, turning to face Andy, eye to eye, like He is a reporter and is interviewing Andy. No doubt He is a method actor.
Tom's description of himself and Andy's clear agreement says so so much about him. Dude seems like an absolute class act Would LOVE to meet Andy as well Edit: what Tom says about dogs is so relatable and admirable. "A gateway to care and understanding". As even a young adult, having a pet that is YOURS and relies fully on you is a rather big responsibility. You have to understand that they mean well, they dont know any better, and above all: they CARE for you, without end. Its lovely to hear him say what he did because its so human and real. Im not quite sure why that quote stuck with me as such but i guess it couples my admiration for him with the realization that he IS indeed human. And its sort of comforting? Thats sort of what Tom Hardy does: display amazing things in such a grounded, human way. Just wonderful

I had an interaction with Tom Hardy once. He was jogging in Richmond and gave me a little wink & thumbs up for giving him space to get by.
Sounds cool
I miss you deeply Rik ;)
oof
Was it in Richmond park?
@@VCYT Nah. It was just outside of the town centre where the posh houses are, closer to the river. I also once sat next to Richard E Grant on the 57 to Kingston. He was wearing a pink shirt.
Tom Hardy deserves an Oscar for his role in Bronson, in my opinion.
Agreed 👍♥
Their voices...go so well together? Can we get them their own podcast or show or something?
This needs to happen lmao
i think i will need subtitles for that podcast hahaha
Right?! I listen to it with focus and then I'll will definitely save this to my "listen to people talk to peacefully drift away" playlist. Because both their voices are like butter!
@@JakesterJungsame lol i kept missing words and phrases but still enjoyed it all the same
I just feel that Andy Serkis is a pleasant man to be around. For his role as Caesar, its crazy that he wasn't nominated for Oscars. The Greatest mo-cap performance EVER
Planet of The apes trilogy in general is some of the best movies ever made
@@SalmanAbbasWWE 💯
That would be Gollum thank you very much
@@dv96_dk As a lead? Gollum was a supporting character. But as a lead, Caesar had a higher screen time overall, that is the greatest Mo cap performance.
@@IftiAlam1999 What are you talking about? You don’t need to be a lead character, to be the best mo-cap character/performance. The best mo-cap performance is Gollum

Andy Serkis is ethnically Armenian btw

Despite never having met Tom Hardy, he's one of my favorite humans. I'm not very familiar with Andy Serkis, but he seems lovely as well.
The sense of humour of these two, this went as expected, love them both.
I was actually expecting this to be chaotic and it was surprisingly not.
The way Andy Serkis described Snoke… bless his heart 😂 pretty much sums up what everyone felt about those movies
I was looking for this comment lmao.
They nailed the balance of humour and giving actual answers I appreciate that I hate when some people on here just ignore every question or don’t give any kind of answer
*cough* Brie Larson *cough*
@@geenoabalos3621 is that like a personal attack or something? *confused face*
Yeah, both of these guys have a muncher higher iq seemingly than most of the celebs they have on here. Tom Hardy’s vocabulary is quite impressive especially
Shots fired at John Cena but you missed the target bcz it's invisible

I love how much Tom paid attention while Andy answered. So sweet!
Thank you for your comment,It has been your love and kindness that has brought me this far… send me a message here on my UA-cam channel
They seem so relaxed in each other's company and genuinely interested in what each had to say! Was refreshing to see
Thanks so much 👍
This whole interview is absolutely delightful in every way. Gives me joy.

Totally agree!
Andy Serkis has such a great voice…I could listen to the man talk all day long
Have you listened to the LOTR audio books? He narrates them!
“I’m happy grateful and privileged “
I love how eloquently Andy Serkis talks about the LOTR lore, with like love and knowledge and respect 🥺❤😊 it breaks my heart when so many actors are asked questions about their franchises, and they basically respond 'don't know, don't care'. 😔
Andy Serkis was able to really embody the emotions of the ceasar monkey character, I would love to see more of a sequel to "Rise of the Planet of the Apes". I have never cried about such a movie in my whole life. Humanity is facing a global epidemic, so the movie is going into reality. a movie is more meaningful for people than creating a hero for entertainment , every year in africa there will be the extinction of animals , god also created them and live in harmony with humans
But I mean they are no nerds most of the time
Audible have released a new audiobook version of lotr with Andy Serkis narrating, he's brilliant in it!
@@kassjazzy oh wow! That's so cool! 😊

This is the most insightful comment.
How did he break his nose?
@@StonedNoob he does boxing
Brazilian ju jitsu
The friendship chemistry is off bounds with these two.
We need more of them in front of the camera
Tom's description of himself and Andy's clear agreement says so so much about him. Dude seems like an absolute class act
Would LOVE to meet Andy as well
Edit: what Tom says about dogs is so relatable and admirable.
Andy: "All of whom have entered into the profession as young thespians. "
Tom: "Fantastic, they all got their equity cards"
That killed me right there lol
Saaame 😂😂😂
Just said it lol so funny
Had to scroll so far to find this...
These interviews never go this deep and are usually quite short but I’m glad this is nearly 20 mins, both Andy and Tom are so down to earth and answer questions as everyone would like to know when they searched it up. They go into depth ahh I love this video
Tom Hardy looks like he's having an absolute blast playing Eddie Brock, see in first film and more so in Venom 2. The audience sees that and shares in the fun. Rewarded by having a 90+ Million Opening weekend.
I like Tom's accent. It's nice. I think the key to happiness is being grateful bc there's always someone who is worse off.
i loved that little roast to disney star wars about snoke being a completely pointless character with no background at all
Funnily enough, that explains the sequel trilogy as a whole: completely pointless with no background (thought) at all.
@@WarpChaos that is what happens when you make a sequel for a money grab.
@@lorrainem.swartzentruber3077 With no planning or direction.
Also the fact serkis says he didnt know who Snoke is tells you everything. No character background at all.
These two are just about the most underappreciated fellas in Hollywood right now. Love 'em both.
of course, if you read the comments on any video with either of them, you'd see that that is definitely not true.
the fact that Andy Serkis impersonated his cat coughing up furballs was really incredible to me
I know right?
Fun fact: Andy Serkis did the mocap for his cat
Especially Tom just sitting there, staring in awe 😮 😁🤘🏽😎👍🏽
He's caesar, king kong✊
So funny and horrifying.
Andy just radiates warmth and a has a kind of heartfelt humor and genuine interest in people and stories that is very seldomly seen.
Did anyone else notice that when tom was talking about specific roles, his accent automatically shifted to a something familiar of that character. And I don't even think he realises he's doing it! Amazing
Absolutely, maybe we already know how his new role sounds like 😍
That's what hundreds of hours of reading scripts in certain accents do. As soon as you hear the character it's muscle memory to go back into that bag.
i went back to the part where he was talking about peaky blinders and yeah i could hear alfie solomons
If Christmas were a person it would be Andy Serkis.Man's got so much talent he has established himself as a stabdard when it comes to blockbusters or voice acting in animation movies. He is a legend.
So in love with Tom Hardy. He seems like he prefers to retract to his normal self instead of glamourising himself as a major celebrity! Gorgeous and Humble 🥰
I could watch these two have a conversation for hours. Love them both!
Chemistry is off the charts
Thanks so much for your comments 👍
They both are so sincere to their craft and to the interview. I've never seen guests answering to all the questions sincerely in WIRED interview so far
Hardy is so compelling; even in a film like Locke, he can draw you in. Very expressive.
Locke is his best film. Literally him talking and driving for a hour and half. Perfect
He is magnificent in Locke!
The way Tom Hardy introduced himself was as if he was talking to a child
daddy
Well it’s probably because of all those bedtime stories he did for CBeebies, yes I did watch them and so should you.
I truly love the fact that Tom knew and recognized the fact that Bane is Latino and made sure he honored that as close as he could.
Why did Tom's equity card joke for Andy's kids get passed over, it was perfectly executed 🤣
So good I had to pause 😂😂
he has awesome comedic timing tbh as evident in his roles

Good to see Tom doing an interview he doesn't seem irritated by. Probably the lack of people asking stupid questions about his sexuality.
Wait does that happen
People ask tht?
Since when people ask that
I've only seen 1 interview he did that one person asks about his sexuality. And his answer is the perfect one 😊
Wait what’s his sexuality
Was not prepared for Andy to absolutely ROAST Star Wars for cheating his character out of depth and meaning, but I loved hearing it.
The character wasn’t supposed to have depth or meaning. He was literally grown in a test tube just to be a puppet and distract people. That’s actually kind of cool and unique even if the movies were garbage. Sorry you didn’t understand that thp
@@jessejive117 how was anyone supposed to understand that? Good lord
@@Butterfly1025A what can I say, I guess anything goes these days.

This felt like a private conversation between two longtime friends and we're somewhat invading on it! 🤣 can't wait to watch it!!
Probably one of the better Wired Auto-complete interviews because they both take an interest in the others answers and help to flesh out more of a response rather than just one sentence answers

Yes if a human has a dog and let's me play with it I am 1000% more likely to like them too.
I think Tom Hardy’s accent has a small piece of every character he’s ever played. Such a confused accent.
@Gillie Monger bo’o’o’wo’a
@Gillie Monger I did hear a bit of Alfie Solomon’s and Ronnie Kray in some parts
Yeah to begin with he has a very London kinda rough working class accent but the more he talks the posher it gets and then there's hints of New York (or what new york sounds like in films to me) and other things.

In all seriousness he has stated that he's got mental health issues. He's never elaborated (it's no one's business but his and his family's) but I would imagine a lot of it has to do with his past chronic drug use.
