    About Sheepdog Response:
Sheepdog Response was founded by Green Beret, Special Forces, Sniper, and former top 5 UFC Middleweight, Tim Kennedy. Tim was also the co-star of Hunting Hitler on the History Channel, and more recently, Hard To Kill, on the Discovery Channel.
People face threats of violence every day, ranging from large-scale terrorism to one-on-one assaults. Most people are unprepared, unequipped, and untrained to respond effectively. This weakness in the flock allows the wolves to attack with great ease and success.
The answer is not more laws. The wolves don’t follow them. We must give the good guys the tools they need to effectively respond to violence. The more Sheepdogs we can train to be truly ready to respond to a mass shooting, terrorist attack, violent mugging or home invasion, the better the chances are that the bad guys will get what they deserve and the good guys will survive. Most people sign up for martial arts or weapons training expecting to learn realistic self-defense, and few get it…
We have developed a curriculum that addresses the skills you need to successfully respond to threats

The craziest part about this is, you see that majority of the people here are more than likely over the age of 27, and are just now learning this; but in the inner city you learn these things as early as a teenager.

It's a shortcut that works some percentage of the time. It allows you to compress an impossibly complex person into a manageable model for your purpose. This is interesting to me. I am a reformed criminal, I grew up in the street, now I am a father and normal member of society but my mind does this always and effortlessly.. I forget that most people don't assess their surroundings constantly. I would think it takes years to develop this naturally where you don't have to think about it and it becomes just the way you view the world, mine developed out of survival and necessity and I believe stressing the importance of why this is useful is better than teaching them how to. I completely agree with what you were saying. I learned situational awareness in my teens because I lived in a bad area where there were flop houses, pimps, gangs and such. I migrated away from there. The skills that I learned as teen has protected me over the years. However, there have been times that I got comfortable in the environment and stopped paying attention. I was pissed at myself. I must remind myself not to get to compliant in your environment.

When I do go out, my hyper vigilance goes into overdrive. Kind of hard to feel “calm” when your body never feels safe. My mind is in complete chaos in what should be a perfectly nice day. For some reason it’s only when actual chaos happens around me that suddenly my thoughts are crisp and clear.
I wish I had the resilience and confidence that Tim Kennedy has, he’s a real life hero. A true American Warrior and just all around Bad Ass GOAT, that we should all look upto and revere.

As a former resident of the vegas valley for 17 years I can tell you now that Henderson is NOT a suburb of Las Vegas.
Henderson is a totally different city apart from Las Vegas.
There 3 different cities that share the very limited space within the valley yet are all totally different uniquely separate cities.
Those 3 cities are Henderson, Las Vegas, & North Las Vegas.
Understandably the boundary lines, city limits and jurisdictions change quite rapidly within the valley leaving many wondering what city am I in?
But try not to get things more confused as you already have Mr. Kennedy.
    Thanks.

It's nice hearing logical explanations of these types of habits. I grew up learning these things and it's grating on my nerves to hear the "woke age" explaining how it's bad to assume or judge despite it being a natural reaction and inspection to everyone's senses. Learning the story behind things based on first appearances is how survival and basic evolution became an ongoing tradition.

I have a family member who had to teach people in the psychiatric medical world(sorry to be vague)about the Car thing, it's something they have always done, but was highlighted by a patient doing what Tim was speaking about and finding out a LOT about one of the Docs he fixated upon, the scary thing in that particular case is that this VERY Charismatic and forceful, INCREDIBLY dangerous Person, then convinced their family members, young and old to follow this Doc's Car a LITTLE bit further every Day, then eventually found out where they lived, luckily their room was searched and the DETAILED, EXTREMELY disturbing plan they had for that Doc was discovered before they could sic their family member(who was totally under their control) on the Doc.
People tightened up how much their vehicles gave away about them...for a while.
Now we (they) randomly walk into Doc's offices etc and tell them what they've picked up about them that morning in the parking area...that keeps people keen!.
Thanks Tim, and thank you for all the amazing things you've done and continue to do!.

Absolutely impressive stuff. I mean, a person with a modicum of smarts will (or should) know all this. But, as a person who doesn't have to think about this all day, everyday, (and that's the most of us) this is important. I certainly appreciate it being said or read, much like the person who says "be safe" instead of "see ya".
It's amazing to me how the average American is the furthest away from this kind of mindset. And to that I say, thank you to all those who allow us to have such a lax mindset. Sincerely.
Don't go looking for trouble, yes. But to think that trouble couldn't come to you is just naivete. That's where I say, onus is on you to be ready for when that time comes.
I would add that, training in this kind of mindset also helps you to not stand out as a person who has this kind of mindset. Fortune favors the prepared mind.

I might only spend a minute or two at observing them ( or a couple times, over the course of an hour or two), but it is primarily just because I am interested in who they are. I'm not doing it because I feel threatened. I think I will take these tips and wisdom with me and put it towards what I am already doing; observation. @Reaper5.56 Xx For sure law enforcement and intel agencies should have all the power they need to keep us safe, and if that means profiling (be it racial or otherwise) then let them do so (they are professionals!). But when individual citizens decide to buy into this kind of patriotic vigilantism combined with racist undertones, then we end up with a pretty messed up society! America is pretty diverse and if you feel the need to throw death stares at every dark skinned person in the airport, then you're going to have as crappy of a flight experience as I do. Also, I doubt crazy terrorists who are under the influence of their whacky religion and are ready to die are going to be deterred by dirty looks.

@haach76 I get what you're saying. Let's just say that I had the "situational awareness"/"profiling" thing bred into me my whole life. People love to feel like Sherlock Holmes and try and spot a dangerous person before everyone else. I think everyone should realize that, just like Tim says, you are looking for things that don't fit. Someone at the airport is anxious? That kinda half-fits. They could be nefarious or just nervous about flying, meeting a new employer, heading to a funeral, etc. Newbies at judging what fits and what doesn't always stop when there is a potential for aggressive action. What I bet Tim would continue to say in the class is that there are things you can do to narrow it down. I'm not the best in the world at this - but I'm not an amateur. I would probably just smile at the anxious traveler - if I don't like how they respond, maybe I go up and talk to them with a big smile acting like I recognized them from college or something. Most people respond like people and that means they fit. Many times people with nefarious intentions forget minute social courtesies when they are too busy mentally rehearsing or just thinking about whatever junk they are planning to do. I wish there were less brainwashed jokers out there making everybody nervous. Sorry for a huge reply. Hope your future trips are a little less nerve wracking!

@@TheByrdHouse I get what your're saying but I think that course of action should be reversed.
