    I realised I had been missing this sort of glassy/more scooped type tone, so wanted to try and dial something in!

    This is the best guitar channel on YT, nobody comes close.

    Yes, Clapton is the reason the amp became so famous and referred to as a Marshall Bluesbreaker. The actual model name/number is 1961/62 I think.
    The amp Clapton used is affectionally called the Marshall "Bluesbreaker", because he used the amp on the famous 1966 "Blues Breaker and Eric Clapton" album in, also known as the "Beano" album.
    The reason some call it the Beano album is because on the album cover, Clapton is reading a copy of a Beano magazine.
    The name of the band was,... "John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers"

    Just beautiful John! A lot of the sweetness of that tone seems to be with what ever reverb and delay you are using.

    Thanks John🙏🏼…I have been subscribed for a few months now and really enjoy your posts, analysis, playing style, tone and insights. It motivated me to recently get a Helix XL coupled with Helix Native for a remarkable price during Helix’s recent sale. Just getting familiar with these new tools and enjoy the new tonal possibilities that they afford. I basically play a few vintage guitars, vintage amps and just a cord in between them for 60 years now ☺️. Thanks😎

    UA-cam has an excellent feature where you can choose not to watch content you might find ‘overwhelming’ and you can do this without leaving your ‘HO’.
    Play on John! I for one admire and enjoy your music, artistry and humanity.
    Thank you

      Uploading 3800 identical videos. Yes, such artistry. Lol
      This is a public forum and not all feedback will be positive. Especially when it's these low effort videos that just farm views from people like yourself.
      But keep on watching the same exact video another 3800 times.

    A non line 6 user here. Sounds great. Do you know when the last major software update was for the POD go?

    • @christopherjbutler
      @christopherjbutler 14 днів тому +1

      I would have to check back through John's daily videos for the complete lowdown, but a major version update was to 2.0 in November 2023, brand new cabinet engine, it was a big deal if I remeber correctly. Line6's update schedule and the legs they get their users out of their hardware platforms is what is drawing me to them. I would have gone to a fractal axe FX before hearing what john can do with both Helix / HX and Fractal, but price point and the built in expression pedal in the helix has me holding out until my next christmas bonus for hopefully a helix successor or even the venerable helix floor. 7 year old hardware platform, but they keep transforming it with meaningful firmware updates.

      On his guitar? Or on the pod go? If you mean the pod go, he is running into his audio interface into his DAW and is monitoring through his JBL studio monitors, which he can set to whatever master volume level sounds best.

    Does this chap ever sleep? There's videos coming out every 10 minutes.
    Amazing player, but how many special tones can you find when they all sound very much alike.
    The real takeaway here should be that you can basically use anything and get these kinds of tones.
    Great player, but the onslaught of videos with basically the same content is overwhelming IMHO.

    • @sirgerbilmacintosh9101
      @sirgerbilmacintosh9101 15 днів тому +1

      I've tried to do You Tube videos before and I personally think what he's doing is quite impressive. It's definitely not easy to consistently deliver so much content.

    • @CrowkeeperStudios
      @CrowkeeperStudios 15 днів тому +1

      @@sirgerbilmacintosh9101 you're right that it's impressive to work enough to constantly post. It's more about what value it brings when almost all these videos are nearly identical. Something about a tone using x y z and those tones are always nearly the same.
      Just shows you can get these tones with anything. It's just a way to farm views and make money really. There's nothing interesting happening other than his playing, which is always really good, but other than that... It's very much copy paste.

      @@CrowkeeperStudios I don't watch all of his videos. Solves the "overwhelming" part for me. But I think he posts so much because it's how he works on his playing. Every one of them have a pretty long improv at the beginning. Anyway, not everything is for everybody. You can unsubscribe. If UA-cam keeps recommending his videos, you can click on the three dot menu thing and tell it not to recommend them anymore.
