    i worked with a lot of apps running like photoshop, illustrator, and 10+tabs of chrome. my design file usually running at 2gb, but still under 5gb. i often times connect my mbp 2020 intel i5 (16gb, 512gb) to external monitor. does the m2/m1 air suitable for that workload? thanks!!

    Hello!! Wow this video comes to me at the exact time, I'm a graphic designer and I'm thinking of upgrading my MacBook (mid-2012), I've been watching video after video about which model can be more accessible because I'm in Latin America. I prefer MacBook air M2 (for many reasons, among them its portability since it is crucial for workflow) but I needed to see how they behaved with the actual use of design programs, and the result I see with the M1 is good, so I assume with the M2 must be equal to or better. Recently I have recently had to work with files with similar sizes and weights up to 3.5GB in photoshop. Although I have been able to finish the arts with my 2012 MacBook, it took a long time to finish tasks such as saving and resizing the image, this and other things have made me decide to renew the MacBook. Thank you for all the videos and design information you share, your content is precious for designers.
    Greetings from Venezuela👋👋

    Hey! I'm Graphic Designer. I'm not on a high budget I'm thinking about 2020 M1 256GB, 8GB Ram Macbook Air. Yeah I know 256gb going to be main problem. But what about other things? Will it be good running Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier pro with it? I'm not expecting best PC but I want it to be solid and long lasting for my graphhic design projects. I mean I'm using now Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 with NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 1650; 4GB, AMD Ryzen Mobile Processor so I just want that Macbook Air 13 256gb 8GB RAM to be more smooth and better with ADOBE programs than my Lenovo

    Thanks for the videos, i watched like all about your m2 and m1 video performance for photoshop yet cant decide what mba should i pick 😢
    I mainly use photoshop daily (5-8hours) for a bit of social media post, artboard, and any ‘not really heavy’ psd files
    But eventually i also work on like 2gb or more psb files with 300dpi extra canvas size or huge 6m banner in 72dpi
    Based on your videos i watched, id rather have to buy at least 8/512 for longetivity or 16/256 for productivity (extra web tabs, multi apps opened) or even better at 16/512 (which i hardly afford for extra 400 in my country)
    Really appreciate if u could suggest which i should buy
    - save my pocket with 8/256 cause its enough for my workload
    - mba with 8/512 for extra ssd speed for longetivity
    - mba with 16/256 for future proof and productivity
    Consideration :
    - i have desktop for any hardwork process and i need mba for office mobility
    - i have ssd external where i usually put my source files
    - price of m1 upgrade is similar to m2 upgrade in my country cause we dont really have apple store
    Thankyou in advance 🙏🏻

    • @designthescenes
      @designthescenes  Рік тому

      simply dont get anything that is 256, that is a mistake you will regret. Start at 512ssd. M1 will save you some money and performance wise for photoshop is practically the same as m2.

      @@kenzkunz no 16gb is better, but 256ssd is useless... if it goes too high in price I would aim for M1 AIR 16gb Ram 512 ssd, or simply macbook Pro 14 inches with 512ssd.

      @kenzkunz Рік тому

      Thanks! Appreciate your kindness to respond during holiday ⭐️
      ssd is most important and higher ram is better on my workload if i could afford it
      Sadly apple price is kinda frustrating in my country
      M1 16/512 price currently as high as M2 16/512 here
      M2 8/512 converted to dollar will go high as $1500 and M1 is about $1350
      M2 16/512 is around $1800 while M1 is about $1700
      M1 base model is $1000
      M2 base model is $1100
      So its kinda complicated to choose best option here while im on a budget with those gap on each upgrade 🥲
      I know its silly to ask with all your info and suggestion, if i could only afford m2 with 8/256 is it stupid to buy it with all my workload and daily usage? Or just do m1 cause its cheaper and higher ssd speed?
      Thanks anw for the answers

      @@kenzkunz I already answered to your question: forget the 256ssd, its useless. Then choose whatever you can afford above that. Either computer is good, M2 being slightly better.
