Thankyou! I am 67, have an Acer laptop that’s close to death and have used my iPad Air 4 for the past 5 years. I’m now in school again and dreaming in my new life and the iPad just isn’t enough. This was most helpful to me. You’re savvy AND creative, funny and you relate to people exceptionally well. Best for me of all the Mac reviews out there. I’m sold!😄👏💟🕉️
If you are keeping the iPad and not trading it in or whatever, look into “continuity features” when you get your MacBook. Apple products are designed to work well with other Apple products, and there’s about a dozen neat things you could do with the iPad and MacBook together you couldn’t do with other laptops. Even if you find only one or two of them useful, it’s still useful to know.
Finally a sensible take on the MacBook Air where you don’t overload the laptop and complain that it heats up and throttles. None of those benchmarks and nit picking matters in the real world for most people. Kudos to you Greg, for this practical review of this superb machine.
most people actually use their laptop and don't just buy them as expensive furniture with an apple logo ... this being said -- air is for light users -- period -- if anyone buys an air expecting anything else he's a moron -- and these light users that never open any 3d app or a rendering app can do just fine with 8gb of ram and maybe a 512 ssd

I have a MacBook Pro M3 for video editing. I also have the base Air M3 for use on the road. I can tell you it can handle a pretty heavy 4K Premiere Pro project. It's amazing. Way better than my old I7 laptop with 16GB of memory.

I had the metal MacBook Pro from 2009 and it lasted damn near a decade. Very little slowdown near the end of its life. I switched to a windows gaming pc from 2019 on, but yearned for Mac OS, rather than just having iOS. I just replaced my 2020 iPad Pro today with a MacBook Air M3 and couldn't be happier to delve back into Mac OS, as if I never left.
I know exactly what MacBook you're talking about. I have a late 2009 aluminum MacBook still in my closet. It powers up, albeit, a little sluggish. Had to swap the battery a few times and upgrade the ram. But it was a champ. I traveled the country for about a year as on over the road trucker. It really did hold its worth in value.
You missed the great schism, I had an Intel Mac which was aging just fine (5 years old) until Mac released Sonoma and it completely killed my computer and many other Intel Macs. Before I had rare high fan usage, never got warm, now it’s always hot, and always slow.
Just be very careful not to drop it. I dropped my Macbook Pro 2015 at least three times over the years. No effect beyond case marks. One accident with the MacBook Air and the screen was ruined. Nearly £500 to repair. A lot of people are reporting screen damage with no apparent cause. It seems a crumb can fracture the screen when the lid is closed. Wouldnt buy another. I'm not sure if the current MacBook Pro is vulnerable. The MacBook Pro 14 has a better screen and several ports. Also has cooling for warmer environments.
I have an M3 Air which is excellent - the best Mac I've ever owned by far. I still have my previous two MacBook Pros - a 2010 that's still going strong, albeit running linux now, and a 2015 which is running Sequoia very well thanks to OCLP. The 2010 doesn't get a lot of use, the 2015 a bit more but both still working well. I'm rather attached to the 2010 as it had the crashing graphics problem that I repaired years ago by replacing a surface mount capacitor on the motherboard (thanks to Louis Rossman).
I just ordered my second MacBook Air, the M3. My M1 is still extremely fast and capable, but it's 4 years old now and wanted to update. I'm getting the M3 with 16GB Memory, and 1TB SSD. I am a graphic designer and use Adobe software. I had to use Windows for a job I once had. I don't think I ever did understand that insanity. I was always having to call IT! Then, for a job interview, I sat down at an old Mac IIci to design an ad. I had never used a Mac in my life! I sat down, scanned the logo, did some creative tweaking and designed the ad to perfection! I was hired on the spot! I have never used anything but Apple products since! If you have no experience with a Mac, you couldn't possibly understand why Mac users are completely in love with Apple!
CAN I BUY M1 AIR base model in 2024 ? I am a student and need it to learn for IOS development ? I am planning to buy in august aur should I go for M2 air ?
@@CatalinRosca-e4k My M3 Air is amazing! It is the fasted using Photoshop and Illustrator than I have had in my entire career! I also love not worrying about needing more memory or disk space! Good to go!
Thank you for finally doing a review for those of us who aren’t editors, coders, etc. I have an M2 Pro for heavy school / teaching / presentation building.
Great to see a real life review done by someone with a head screwed on. I’ve purchased a base model M3 MBA a month ago, swapped from a touchbar intel MBP and I am very happy with it. I spoke to an Apple advisor before I got it and they recommended the base model based on my needs. I was actually surprised that they didn’t try to sell me a more expensive model. It’s so much crispier and faster than my old MBP, an absolute pleasure to use for my daily tasks and uni work.
Great video. Feels different to usual and all the better for it. I have been getting fed up with UA-camrs being so disconnected from reality when banging on about the specs. If I said to my family members that have 8GB machines “oh no, you have the base model, how unfortunate” they’d be like: ‘what the heck are you on about?’
I just got one too, arrives tomorrow. Never owned a Mac in my life, I have used other ones though (like my parents or my school macs), tho my first device was apple, it was an iPad lol. So here I am, with my Samsung phone, my windows PC, about to get my new MacBook. At least I can airdrop things between my second phone and my iPad I guess? 😭
Greg, you did an awesome review. I’m sick of the bench marks and UA-camrs telling me not to bother spending money on memory. I’m moving up from an M1 when it came out and I listened to the UA-camrs rail on about expensive memory. I’ll never skimp on memory again. If you need it you need it.
16gb - the answer is 16gb. 8gb might be fine today, but it's going to get real tight and limiting in 2 years. 16Gb should be the absolute minimum for laptop you intend to have for at least 3 years(and hopefully much longer).
I love how many people are able to see into the future, and predict your memory needs 2 or 3 years from now. If your budget only allows for 8GB, then go for it. If most of your work is browser based and MS Office, you will be fine for years to come. These are very mature apps, and I doubt very much that you'll **need** more memory in a couple of years. Now, maybe your computer use changes a lot in the coming years. Maybe your light Excel use turns into heavy data modeling and analytics. If that happens, then by all means buy a new computer, you've earned it, and your higher-paying new career means you can easily afford a new computer. If you do have some room in the budget, I think the first upgrade should be memory, and if your budget allows, then by all means, go for 16GB, as this will likely be the first bottleneck you encounter in the future. But if that means going over budget, don't. Save you money, be financially responsible and sleep well knowing that for most people, 8GB will be plenty for the foreseeable future. I spent 30 years working for a company that actually makes computer memory. The growth curve for amount of memory a typical user needs has flattened out quite a bit. Getting 8GB now won't mean you have to replace it in 2 or 3 years unless your computing needs change dramatically.
MacBook air m1 user here. I have run virtual machines with utm, played games like metro, all without any stutter. All in the base model. I know unified memory is a huge marketing term but I think that's the reason all this works like a charm
M3 Air 24gb/1Tb 13” is what I have in mind, I could spec a MBP but I really like the form factor of the Air. I want it for light Xcode development, perhaps a twice a year iMovie project, and very important VM in Parallels in case I need to run MS Access. All that while connecting to a single 1080p display, I also have the 13 M4 iPad for sidecar in case I want the greatest display. My only concern is if it will get too hot while performing those tasks due to lack of fan. -thoughts?
I have the M2 Air 15, more power than I will ever need. I'm no Apple fanboy, but there is no arguing with the best trackpad, battery life, speakers, and cool running without a fan. I have a Windows gaming laptop for jollies, the Air for everything else.
I do agree with you but I also agree with one point of tech reviewers that 8gb in 2024 should be a sin. It’s high time Apple has to increase the ram for entry level MacBook
I liked the touch about THURSDAY. If I had done it, I would have stopped at the scene with the text on the pages and not gone on, but probably would have added some different paragraph layouts. But yea, THURSDAY. Nice touch!
Thanks for the review Greg, the Air, M1, M2, M3 are so powerful they are all amazing, Nice very creepy zoom in on you thinking of what to write next by the way, I can see you have another career beckoning. I use Adobe Illustrator most, then a bit of Photoshop and I'm trying to learn Blender and my current Mac, a 2017 iMac i5 21" (OS now on an external SSD which tripled it's speed) is actually good enough for almost all my tasks so these much much newer machines, even though they are considered at the low end must be perfect for the majority of users. Something we could only dream about just a few short years ago. I'm pretty sure now, I'm going for an M3 Air soon, with extra ram and disk space. Cheers.
Great video, and nice to see someone focus on how good the machine is! I picked up the M3 Air with 8GB RAM & 256GB SSD to capture retro game footage on OBS, edit it on DaVinci Resolve, and record/add audio recorded in Audacity, and the thing never skips a beat. The export times on videos in DaVinci Resolve are insanely fast, so the base model M3 Air is so far more than enough for what I need.
@@MrSimonj1970 Thank you!! people are acting like the SD slot is an actual selling point...Takes seconds to transfer photos from an SD card, and back into the bag goes the card reader. Of course its more convenient built-in, but its a total non-issue
Finally a review that is honest !! I bougth the M3 MBA 15 Starlight to replace my M2 MBA 13 because I needed more screen because my eyes are getting old! And I got $670 for my M2 Base model trade in!! That made this a $600 bargain from the M2 !! I laughed at the reviews that told people to buy a 3 year old M1 Computer to save money !! HELLO !!! It's Apple not windows !!! Thanks for the Great review!! I love my M3!! Its fast!!
This is a great review! Finally someone did a review that just talks about performance benchmarks and instead focuses on what the real usage for this particular product will be and its market target. And by the way, awesome Metal Gear Solid shirt!
I do all my edits on the base M3 Air. I cannot understand why people bash it so much. It is more than capable of handling some heavy stuff and considering the price, features, weight, looks.. it's a no brainer.
Great video! More reviews should be like this! I'm getting my wife a 15" MBA for her birthday soon to replace her 2017 MBP and one for me to replace my M1 iMac. I can't wait! I played with the 15" at Best Buy yesterday and The screen looked better than my iMac M1 and the M3 was definitely more snappy and smooth on the interface. However, selling a laptop with 8GB RAM in 2024 is just shameful.
I love this video. all last week, I watched a ton of videos to decide on my next Mac after my 16gb m1 Mac mini ( needed the portability) and they all compared the MacBook Air 15 and the MacBook Pro. They made it seem like the 13 was a nonstarter for “serious users”. I walked in the Apple Store to test them all out and the 13 air was absolutely perfect for me. I bought the 16gb version right then and there and have been absolutely giddy with it.
Thank you for a fantastic practical review for the average person! I want to get a laptop for everyday use and light video and photo editing editing for instagram reels and need to keep my budget around $1,000 but all the video editing laptop reviews I watched made it seem like the base Mac air wouldn’t be good enough for that especially with limited ram so this makes me feel better about making a decision!
Long-time viewer here. This was by far the weirdest...and most entertaining...review of a Macbook I've seen. Definitely not boring and I enjoyed your reasonable takes! Would definitely like more vids like this!
Great review. The added personal story at the end really resonated with me. It’s important to recognize that not everyone is editing videos or producing music and a good review articulates where certain opinions are nit picking. I have become much more self aware when purchasing items these days. You can always “future proof” and buy a loaded out device, but do you want that same device for 10 years? Is $200 to upgrade ram worth it if you aren’t maximizing its capabilities? I just purchased the MacBook Air 15” to upgrade from my 2017 Intel MacBook Pro and I love it. It’s simple, snappy and the midnight finish is awesome.
I use the M1 pro, it still does everything. It does video editing, photo editing and it has never struggled at all. Battery life still whole day easy. Jus amazing.
Greg, thank you for putting on this video. I totally agree with you. I use my mac like normal people. Yes, I do some powerpoint slide presentations, save photos, and work on documents and spreadsheets. Occassionally I watch youtube videos "Yours" and also listen to lots of music and podcast. I even still use my 2012 Macbook pro with the open core legacy patcher and it works fine for me. Again, Thank You for this video, I enjoyed watching it. Dave from Fulton, IL
Thanks for a great review!! I'm writing this on my 2015 Macbook Pro, 16 GB of ram. Still running like a champ. My daughter just bought the base model you speak of so it's reassuring to hear it will be fine for her. She is a nurse and just needs it for normal things, like work communication and shopping...no fancy video editing other than some light iMovie stuff. I agree with you that many reviewers are heavy into AI, gaming, 3D and 4K video editing and that colors their recommendations.
I have an M1 Max Mac Studio that I use as my work computer as well as using Final Cut Pro as a hobby. Want to get a laptop for mobile work as well as using Final Cut and can’t decide between the M3 air or the M3 pro. I believe both have the same ProRes video decoders (I know the M1 max has double). How important is the RAM for Final Cut projects? I was considering 24 gigs if I get the air or 36 gigs if I get the pro. My main concern is running into issues using Final Cut on the air which is why I was thinking 24 gigs. Please advise and thank you! BTW, I’ve been a subscriber for a while now and really enjoy your content and respect your opinion.
I always used to go directly to Pro models when in need of a new laptop cause back in intel days Air sucked & only Pros had bigger display. But now with Apple silicone & 15” option, the difference between Pro & Air are minimal for most people.
Great video! My only concern is whether the base model of 8G Memory can hold for the daily multitasking uses, say 20-30 tabs, 8-10 pdfs, emails, 5-6 words and slides, and several other light apps like music. Really hate to wait for 10 secs when switching
no, i have a base model and it can hold 15 tabs with word and excel open. i dont imagine it handling 30 tabs smoothly, it will work, but it wont be snappy and you would notice it when switching between tabs.
I got a MacBook Air M2 512gb, 8gb RAM and I have to say this is a nightmare. I was too naive when I decided to rely on processor only (also a lot of reviews are not actually reveal this point) I don't recommend to go with this option, besides that I find as very arrogant move to offer such a limiting machine in the market on 2024
At/from 10:24 why is this macbook slow? Why opens the applications slow, why loads the content of the applications so slowly? This is very weird for me. I would really like to know. I really want to buy one, but its really weird, frustrating for me.
I just bought myself a M1 Pro MacBook Pro, and i cant think of any better value for money. I dont really care about the higher weight and the main point for me was the better display with 120hz. I have been using high refresh rates for years and can not go back… Also the base modell came with 16gb ram and 512gb ssd which is perfectly fine for the stuff i do. Great Vid
I have been using a base M1 for 3.5 years and it has been great. I do a bit more than you and have zero issues with speed or RAM. The majority of people have lived with these base configs for 40 years and are fine. Ignore the anti-Apple flexing that claims everyone need to spend more for higher specs; save your money.
My m1 air has 8gb ram and after nearly 4 years I’m looking at upgrading. Not initially because of anything to do with the laptop (though I’m getting the occasional beachball now), rather I’m ready for something more suited to me now in regard to audio production and video editing. Recently started checking the activity monitor app on my air to see what’s happening with ram usage and seeing it typically sit around 7gb-8gb used with 2gb-3gb swapping and that’s just general usage, not the audio/video work that I’m looking at an upgrade for. I’d say to get the most life out of a laptop (5 or so years minimum) 16gb is worth it seeing that with mine and noticing small lag moments more after nearly 4 years now. 8gb is fine if you are comfortable upgrading relatively frequently though and you’ll get a few really good years centred around basic tasks anyway from the base m series chips.
I completely agree. There's too much biases when it comes to base models, it's like taboo to even consider recommending them. But just like some of these comments, always using the video editing angle is just not realistic. A majority of people will spend their days in a browser alone.
After my Acer laptop nightmare in college, I swore off laptops for years. This year, I finally took the plunge with a MacBook Air and it's been a game-changer. The Acer was a complete rip-off, with a flickering monitor and a useless warranty. This video validated my decision to finally invest in a quality laptop after years of research. I'm your newest subscriber!
Thanks for your honest review. I've been watching a bunch over the last week or so and they're basically all like you say - referencing video editing etc which just doesn't apply to me. Currently watching your video on the following: Mid 2013 , 11 inch MacBook Air ,128GB flash storage, 1.3GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 , Memory - 4GB of 1600MHz LPDDR3 onboard. I had the battery replaced almost a year ago and cleaned up memory so I could run the latest OS it's capable of (Big Sur). I only use it for some light word processing and surfing the web with multiple tabs open so guessing the M2 will get me by when I replace in the New Year?😉
Bought this and love it, its my first return to mac in almost a decade & its been smooht sailing... I got it mainly for media consumption and browsing.. no complaints so far. The Battery life is absolutely exceptional, my goodness it just doesn't die!!! I've got the base model & its competent for my needs, U'd need to be doing some majorly exceptional power hungry things to complain with this base!
So I have a dilemma. I’m looking at getting a replacement for my 2013 MacBook Pro that is been a great computer this entire time. I’m looking at a MacBook Air M3 with 16 GB of ram and a one terabyte hard drive versus an M2 air with 24 GB of ram and one terabyte Ssd. The price is essentially the same, but I cannot decide which would be better long-term.
Greg, I need advice. I have a ten-year-old I-mac and MacBook Pro. I am an online professor teaching several online cohorts of classes. Lately, my Macs have slowed a lot. I use the enterprise version of Word. I generally have many tabs open, up to 20 tabs. Are my Macs just getting old? I am trying to decide my next steps. Can you provide some guidance?
Still on the MacBook Air M1 base model. Edit basic videos on it sometimes, but mostly normal everyday tasks and it's just as quick as it was over 3 years ago.
Thank you for this. Very few users need to edit multiple streams of 8K videos all day long. The entry level MacBook air should be good for 75% of folks if not 90%. I would just suggest to bump up the RAM to 16GB or preferably 24GB.
I do enjoy the same model as you, but it's not underrated compared to a Pro models just because it's not comparable. These are different devices for different applications. There's nothing to compare between them.
Actually many people are cross shopping, especially those who want a slightly larger screen. And despite the Air moniker, they hold their own against some of the fastest Intel Windows laptops. People did professional work on much, much slower devices and got their job done.
@@TheSpamabys people do strange, sometimes stupid things. If you even can do some professional work on a Air, doesn't mean you should. There's nothing better than using things as intended. They always perform well. If you're a pro, and do some serious work on a Mac regularly, you just need a pro model. It'll help you to make more money, as you'll do the job faster and with less stress. Air is an amazing solution for people with basic workload. If you use it just for fun - 13 inch model is great, for more prolonged work 15 is so much better choice. But it should be something relatively simple. Than everything will be alright. Trying to regularly rendering 4K will get you nothing but disappointment.
As a Student that wants an Upgrade but doesn't know a whole lot about computers this video was amazing. All the reviews are talking about editing and running these complex apps that so many people aren't even using. Now I'm sure that I'll get this macbook and be happy with it. Thank you!!!
Hi Greg! Thanks for creating this video. I’ve been searching the web regarding this matter but this video got my attention so far. I would like to ask a specific question. I am a law student. I currently have a 16gb 512ssd windows laptop. I use zoom twice or thrice a week and I open 5-10 pdfs using the web browser and other apps like Microsoft word and excel. Sometimes my laptop crashes when I do all these together. Now, would you recommend that I buy a Macbook Air M3 with 8gb of unified memory or should I go for 16gbs? Money is not a concern but I also don’t want to buy something that is considered to be an “overkill”. I hope that you could answer my question. Thanks!
Dear, if you haven't bought it yet.. 8Gb is certainly enough. Mac OS use of swapping is very efficient. Now, I personally would still go for 16gb, for better comfort and longevity. You can read here or there that SSDs are not made for that much swapping activity. Also, God know how much Ram the next OS(s) will consume.. especially with Apple AI coming soon. you certainly don't need the bigger chip M3 Max, the base one is plenty enough but 16gb is a sweet upgrade, if you can afford it. Cheers.
I came from an intel MacBook and the battery difference has been huge for me! I worked at a coffee shop for 2 hours and was in a meeting for an hour and my battery was only at 80 percent, when my old one would have been at 30-40 percent! super happy with my purchase
It’s the same the other way around. I grew up with Widows and absolutely despised anything Mac related. For me, I can’t reason with getting a sit at home Mac PC, but I do love the laptops because as confusing and different as they may be, the laptop doesn’t have a stupid right click diving board design.
Thank you so much, I have been researching and thought I had better buy a MacBook Pro, because of the reviews. This is perfect. Questions: What is your view of the 35 or 75 watt charger, and the 13 or 15” screen? Does he screen justify the extra size and weight? Thank you so much
great video who sees normal usage also, upgrading to the air from 2014 MBP with i7 and 16gb ram it held perfectly but now the apps are crashing and unsupported apps for it.
i loved your personal story and apart from all the clear pros of a mac, it's the creativity aspect of that was without a doubt the one that made purchase it. I feel I lost all the years I could've been making music or videos. Thank you for mentioning it.
Apple computers last. My mid 2012 11inch macbook air still works. I can still use it to browse the internet, watch netflix and youtube, and do basic stuff like word processing, spreadsheets and presentations. That in itself is reason enough to notbuy anything else but macs
Can you please do a M2 macbook air review just like this? No benchmarks? Coz i dont want to overspend. I honestly know that 8gb ram and 256gb storage is more than enough for me. I am just having difficulty choosing betwen m2 or m3
Thank you and finally! Someone who is not obsessively focusing on the fact that it has 8GB of RAMS as a base model. I really wanted to purchase this for my work. I mostly do Word documents, PDF reading and occasional web browsing and a lot of people suggested to go for the 16GB or not buy at all. I was so confused. I literally just wanted a laptop that can do basic work. Not even editing a picture or video. Yes I know with 16GB I can future proof this laptop but I dont have the money to spare to purchase with that bump price. It was really hard watching other reviews and reading the comments on how people just straight up shit on the base model. I'm buying the laptop this week. Hopefully I can get the Midnight color!
Agree with the comment about macbooks looking sharp even after a decade. I have one right now form 2014 and I love that it has survived this long (even though it has become slow). Getting an m3 air now, and hoping that I will enjoy it as much
I am seeking to get my first ever Macbook at least before 2024 ends. My question is M1 still worth buying or should i go for an M2 that can last me at least end of 2026?
hahaha, love the more comedic edge, suits you man, keep it going! Its true also, those of us who want an Air are sick and tired of listening to youtubers waffle on about the same geekbench scores.
I have a M3 Macbook Air 16gb and its awesome, after having Macbook pro I thought I would be disappointed but I am pleased to say it does everything I need and more for my needs.
Absolutely considering CPU isn't even being 100% used in normal day to day although the only reason you would want is if you move to a extremely hot country
I think this may be the best MacBook Air review I’ve seen so far. I’m still using my 15inch MacBook Pro from 2013. It runs Sonoma just fine. Battery life is not great, but sufficient. So I do need an upgrade the M3 air looks great.
Will a MBA M3 base model handle a protocols session with 5 archetype nolly plugins, virtual drums, keyboards and an Izotope in the master track?.. should I upgrade for 16gb ram, and would they be equivalent to 32 GB in windows? I wish the base model was enough! 😢

Now, if you took that old Macbook from 2009 and installed Linux on it,it still would be faster than new. Your OS and apps would be
Just be very careful not to drop it.

I wish we had reviews tested with very large excel sheets and CAD software. That would be nice.
Great video Greg! It’s always a treat to get your POV.
If you are not interested in benchmarks you don't need the M3 MBA. The M2 or even M1 can do the same things but are much cheaper...
I had a base M1 air for several months and had no problems at all but upgraded cause I was paranoid about future proofing
Great video M3 MBA is exactly what I need for my uses! The only sticking point is whether to get 8 or 16GB RAM!
If you’re doing photo/video editing, 16, if not 8.
Please get the 16GB
Get the 16 gig and future proof it. Unless you like getting a new laptop every three years or so.
What specs did you get?
I do agree with you but I also agree with one point of tech reviewers that 8gb in 2024 should be a sin.
It’s high time Apple has to increase the ram for entry level MacBook
Totally agree, i refuse to buy a laptop with 8gb

I have order the same version. As the other reviewers are shitting on the 8 gigs version, is there anything you noticed that was challenging the ram?
The air has the 15” option and the pro has the 120hz screen. Also the SD slot on the pro is essential if your into photography.
unless you have a card reader...
@@MrSimonj1970 Thank you!! people are acting like the SD slot is an actual selling point...Takes seconds to transfer photos from an SD card, and back into the bag goes the card reader. Of course its more convenient built-in, but its a total non-issue

Most reviewers ramble on about rendering times on videos. For most people, the extra 2-30 seconds isn’t going to be the most deal breaking thing ever
I use the M1 pro, it still does everything. It does video editing, photo editing and it has never struggled at all. Battery life still whole day easy. Jus amazing.
Man, I have to tell you your reviews are very refreshing. Straight to the point and no-nonsense. Definitely support your channel

I’ve been so bored of tech vids lately - but your content is genuinely brilliant!
I always used to go directly to Pro models when in need of a new laptop cause back in intel days Air sucked & only Pros had bigger display.
But now with Apple silicone & 15” option, the difference between Pro & Air are minimal for most people.

Yeah should be fine.
That's the most high-spirited review I've ever seen. And informative, too. Congrats!

Hi adore my M2 15 inch and it’s so underrated compared to the MacBook Pro and in my opinion the air looks much better. Great video buddy.
Thank you 🙏
I do enjoy the same model as you, but it's not underrated compared to a Pro models just because it's not comparable.
For the m3 should i get the 16gb ram and 512 storage or just the basic 8gb ram and 256 storage. I don’t use for work. Just browse and regular stuff.

Cheers.
Which Air are you talking about, the 13 or 15 inch?
13” you can tell by the side of the keyboard. It’s not that wide like the 15”
I came from an intel MacBook and the battery difference has been huge for me!

Hey, wanted to ask should I buy 16gb/256gb m2 air or a base model of m3?
How is its coding capability? Can it handle compiling Xcode projects for iOS?
Thank you for clearing that up with the average consumer! this makes a lot of sense.
Im a programmer and bought my first mac (Air m3 15" 16gb RAM) and i'm just loving it. And i came from a very sturdy gaming laptop
Why doesn't my macbook pro retina 13 " early 2015 upgrade a system past Monterey 12.7.6?
Hopefully I can get the Midnight color!
have you bought it? how's your experience so far with the 8 gb ram?
@@muneeb2162 it's wonderful, like i said before i use it for browsing and writing. Nothing big. So it works smoothly. You dont need 16GBs for that
Best review ever.. you nailed it all bro.. I even use m1 macbook air till now & it is very capable.. the battery still lasts up to 2 days to me..
Hi, what size memory would you recommend? And storage?
Your edit8ng is getting better and better. Thanks.
I have a M3 Macbook Air 16gb and its awesome, after having Macbook pro I thought I would be disappointed but I am pleased to say it does everything I need and more for my needs.
Thank You I got the m3 midnight model basic model and it is Enough for me it’s a really good laptop great video.
Yeah now, but what about 5 years from today? I still use my late 2016 pro with no issue. Do you think I could do that with base M3 air?
Absolutely considering CPU isn't even being 100% used in normal day to day although the only reason you would want is if you move to a extremely hot country
I just bought the Pro M3 18 GB 512 GB MacBook Pro. The 16 GB version of the Air is almost the same price as the Pro.
I think this may be the best MacBook Air review I’ve seen so far. I’m still using my 15inch MacBook Pro from 2013. It runs Sonoma just fine. Battery life is not great, but sufficient. So I do need an upgrade the M3 air looks great.
Good point about the longevity of Apple products. I just gave my 14 year old MacBook Air to my 13 year old step son and he loves it.
Will a MBA M3 base model handle a protocols session with 5 archetype nolly plugins, virtual drums, keyboards and an Izotope in the master track?.. should I upgrade for 16gb ram, and would they be equivalent to 32 GB in windows? I wish the base model was enough! 😢
Watching this on my MacBook Air 13 2013 really want that m3 upgrade.
