The issue with Boogie is : he is not as smart as he think he is. He is a manipulator and a liar, but not a very clever one. He probably thought nobody would notice. Because he doesn't know the difference, so he thinks nobody else does.

Former RE agent here. If his house is worth $480K and he has only $165K owed if he sold it he would make in the area of $280K after taxes, agent commission, etc. That would completely wipe his home debt and forget the $700 CC debt. He could have $280K cash in a few months and move to a nice apartment. He chooses to be poor as he chooses to be fat.

That's why step 1 is always guarantee your home base of operations.
Once you own outright free and clear, huge options open up.
I inherited my farm and house, pretty sizable, and it's more breathing room than you can imagine realizing from time to time that I'll never have to worry about a place to live, ever, I'll never be homeless, I'll never not have roots. I'll always have a massive 100 acres safety net.
But I'm also 'broke'. I make like $40k a year but I'm like a decamillionaire on paper lol.

So when Boogie started his UA-cam career in 2006, she was about 3 years old.
Ultimately she's an adult and can date whoever she wants. That said, when the age gap is higher than your age and the guy you're dating is old enough to be your dad, be prepared for people to raise some eyebrows.

There is a "creepiness" formula that goes something like. Age/2 +7. As long as the older person can run the formula and get a lower number than the younger person's age the relationship isn't "creepy". I.e. a 36 year old dating a 26 year old isn't creepy (36/2+7=25) but a 40 year old dating a 26 year old is (40/2+7=27).
A 29 year age gap doesn't show up in this system until the younger person is 43...

@slawaboga1433 I wouldn't mind the age gap if the man wasn't a Boogie and the woman wasn't clearly an unstable individual.
Swear when Boogie says that he has her ID, it reminds me of another documentary I watched of how pimps and prostitutes worked in Las Vegas.
Boogie is legitimately doing all the tactics the ex-prostitute claims what pimps do to control their products(women). Which were trauma-bonding, keeping ID, etc.

    • @Phoenix0F8
      @Phoenix0F8 Рік тому +14

If she's actually happy with him and sound-minded enough to make that decision, that's one thing. There's no way for us to know either of those factors one way or another- but personally speaking her overall demeanor in the video seems incredibly... off. Facial expressions, body language, tone of voice- I have a pretty decent ability to read people and she gives off the impression of someone who's trying to put on a brave face while miserable. I could be totally off! She might be the happiest girl in the world. But between that and other subtle things like Bogie's incredibly dark reaction to the 'human trafficking' quip, the fact that he keeps *her* drivers license in *his* wallet- (seriously what the fuck?) I don't think it takes a mentalist to figure out that there's something not quite right about any of this.
I think the most likely explanation is that she's trying to get married to him so she can inherit his house and possessions, all of which she could sell for probably at least half a million even after paying off the mortgage and all she's gotta do for that eventual payday is just pretend to be happy with him for a couple more years- and any sort of weird control freak stuff he does like insisting on carrying her ID on his person, she's willing to go along with it with her mind on eventually being rich enough to afford therapy and pretty much anything else she wants to do after he's gone.
Again, this might be a complete and utter misread of the situation. Just my two cents and they're not worth much.

This EFAP isnt one we typically get, but one that's needed to remind us of some very important life lessons. There's a Boogie2988 in all of us. Do not assume that you will never become this pathetic because we all can. We all just need to make sure the Boogie inside us never breaks free. Stay strong brothers and remember, never go full Boogie.
Edit, August 2024: After some new developments in the Boogie saga, I have decided I was wrong in insisting that anyone can be as pathetic as him. The flavors of the food would sometimes be the ONLY things I would feel for days. It is really hard to reduce or change the small things that make you comfortable - not happy, they NEVER make you happy, they only make you not sad. It's hard to admit the parts of yourself that aren't great, and even harder to admit that YOU are in control of those things you aren't proud of.

    Regarding Boogie's diagnoses, here's a small breakdown.
Directly related to (caused by) morbid obesity: Low testosterone, hypogonadism, sleep apnea, lymphatic blockage, chronic back pain, hypertension, gastric bypass (weight loss surgery), malabsorption, diabetes, varicose veins, lumbar disc degeneration.
Indirectly related to obesity: Proteinuria (obesity leads to kidney damage, which in turn leads to proteinuria), vitamin D insufficiency (crappy diet is the common denominator for vitamin insufficiency and obesity).
Exacerbated by obesity: Depression, anxiety, asthma
Unrelated to obesity: Eczema, allergies, basal cell carcinoma.
So... yeah, while losing weight wouldn't be a magical cure-all, it would improve his quality of life drastically while also cutting down on his medical expenses.

    • @joumero7493
      @joumero7493 Рік тому

Ah I actually wanted to talk to someone about this. I’d actually put the proteinuria as directly related to obesity because obesity causes FSGS. Proteinuria isn’t a diagnosis on its own. However the hypogonadism isn’t related to obesity it all. If anything it’s caused by the pain killer he was taking for his back pain, buprenorphine but that should be unlikely since it’s not that strong. It might be the treatment polycythemia though.
The real thing that bothers me though is his narcissistic personality disorder. I don’t know why the general public, or EFAP in this case, pretends to care about people with mental disorders when most don’t understand what they are and prefer to laugh at them as freaks. You’re not a “bad person” when you have a disorder, it’s that you’re incapable of doing the right thing and what we saw throughout this whole 6 hours are the symptoms of the disorder (and a doctor confirming it). The best example is boogie at the end seeking attention so bad that he lets someone else steal the money he would have made just to bask in that attention. All the personality disorders have this kind of nonsensical inflexibility to them, which separates them from normal bad behavior.

      @@grandarkfang_1482
You completely missed the point though. His narcissistic behavior *is* his disorder. His diagnosis is straight from the DSM; narcissistic personality disorder, covert type. I mean consider Alzheimer’s. Does it make sense to start laughing at someone with this disease because they started making rude, sexist comments or became belligerent since the inhibition center of their brain no longer works? No you’d feel pity for such a person not scorn. Most famously you have Joker with Joaquin Phoenix where he has to carry around a card in the hopes that people forgive him for his unacceptable behavior. *You* are the person failing to realize that when Joker was laughing at you when you fell down the stairs, it wasn’t because he was an asshole.
But your confusion is the point I was making. It seems that the vast majority of the public doesn’t even accept the idea of many DSM disorders and continue to treat these people as if they’re normal functioning. It doesn’t even matter when you literally have some guy in the video (who I presume was a psychiatrist) come out and tell you that he has textbook NPD, and even made a checklist of all the symptoms required to make the diagnosis, you interpret this as just bad behavior. This doesn’t make any sense. Either he has a mental disorder or he doesn’t and he clearly does.

Basically, Boogie just wants love. But he can't get it any other way. He tried being nice, and it worked for a while. But then his mask began to slip. When the public turned on him, he turned on himself.
His new strategy is to play the eternal victim. The wounded warrior, struggling uphill in an insane, unfair world.

Its crazy the position of the LolCow podcast. Boogie goes on ReviewTechUSA and gives him the whole weeks content. Keem nukes him and makes him beg. This creates the new content for the week because Boogie messed up. Him being an eejit simultaneously creates and obliterates the content.

After watching JLongbone watch the Doc, I thought to suggest that Mauler and Rags EFAP it, but hesitated. ‘Its much too long, Even for EFAP”, I thought… Never in me wildest did I think that we would get a full EFAP of the Doc.. what a wild ride. ^.-.^
Also, be thankful I scrapped the meme I was working on.. I can only mentally handle drawing so many Boogie/movie Bob pieces… ^.-.^

After your long history of drawing horrific creatures for EFAP, boogie is what breaks you?
This fact is the only joy in my life.

I went through an over eating phase after a series of panic attacks caused by college stress. I managed to get a good paying factory job and buy a home. But after that i was aimless and did nothing but smoke pot, eat and game on my days off. That was most of my early 20s.
Makes this really hard to watch. I wasn't THIS BAD, i paid my bills and had a physically demanding job, but i never want to return to my burnout lifestyle. Worst version of myswlf

Boogy exemplifies a concept I read a lot about the other day, the difference between self-harm behavior and self-destructive behavior.
Self harm might be like cutting, it's actual right then and there damage, possibly fatal.
Conversely, self-destructive behavior probably won't cause injury or damage, it might not even have any real consequences, but it's things that CAN be harmful eventually. Examples being financial irresponsibly, driving fast, anonymous/paid sex, pushing away friends, loved ones, or help, drug use.
I think Boogie has somehow conflated or confabulated self-destruction ideation for self-harm ideation, as if you can like bankrupt or embarrass yourself to death somehow and commit suicide that way.
