Just bought one with two VS8F-2 cards and two VS8F-3 cards with every plugin ever released for them. Plus I got two DIF-AT cards so I can send a total of 24 channels to my audio interface. I plan to use the VS-2480 more as a live digital mixer for my synths and drum machines.
All of these vs units are great. I haven't had a glitch and I record quite a bit. You have to optimize your projects regularly and you will be fine. It is also wise to get rid of things that you don't use. VSPlanet.com has been most helpful to me.
Hey maybe you can help I used a 1680 for years & was saving up to get a 2480 & the UDA FX cards...then Roland stopped making em? my 1680 was taken so I made the move to Pro Tools but I still have Lots of Back Ups of sessions I need to convert those Roland files to wav. so I can import them into Pro Tools I'm on a Mac.Thank for Any help. Oh did anyone ever find out where to get new grommets for the Jog wheel on the VS recorders those go 1st & I could never find one.

It cost a lot ,but it works and i still use them there the best .
