    Helpful tip. Try not to punch the trigger. Slowly add pressure until it activates the trigger. Take your time and you’ll see you groups start getting better

      Thanks, I have been getting better on that. Switched to a button for hunting szn. Although it looks very punchy my trigger is set veryyyyyy light so the second my thumb even grazes it, the triggers goes off. I should make it heavier but its what im used to and like.

    may i suggest adjusting your thumb lever on your release to where you are pushing it into your fingers instead of to the side, it contorts the string last second.

      also when i pull back my thumb is locked on the back side of the trigger, no/low risk of hovering thumb accidents. Keep up the good work!

    If you look at the centre bottom of the whisker biscuit it will be black and the rest of it brown. If any fletching from the arrow hit the black portion it will throw you arrow off because the black part of it is stiffer then the brown part. Good luck! Shoot straight! 😎

    I shot a 3D shoot at my club last Sunday with my $560 Bear Whitetail Maxx and came in 2nd place with 302 points against the 1st place shooter with 304 points shooting his $1600 PSE Carbon Levitate.

      Yes at the end of the day it comes down to what you are most comfortable shooting and consistency

    Bows are great tools but it all comes down to the individual shooter. Give a pro a cheap bow
    And he will still destroy the average archer with a $1500 bow.

      So true, bows are just tools but the archer is where the skill lies

      Just purchased this bow as a new hunter. Excited to continue learning and hopefully provide my family with food from this bow.
      Hoping myself paired with it can provide! Any tips for a new bow hunter?
      Looking for anything, turkey, deer, (is this bow capable of elk??) If so that too.
      Here in AZ

      Also, 6 ft, 190 pounds, capable, regularly lift I'm assuming I could pull 60 pounds. Is it smart to use the most you can comfortably pull and hold, or does it depend on what you're hunting for draw weight?

    • @SoFloAdventures
      @SoFloAdventures  11 днів тому

      It really depends on what you’re comfortable with. I would suggest buying a 70lb bow, backing it down to 60lbs and if you want to go up 1 2 lbs you have the freedom to do so. Bow shops or yourself can be very accurate when backing down bows so just know that it is completely safe to do so. I LOVE the Hoyt Torrex XT and I have backed it down to 60lbs before for tournaments and to practice form

    You have a lot of movement in your grip hand when you shoot. Gotta be causing torque and accuracy issues.

      I do have some but i have not noticed any wider groups than normal and consistently Im shooting less that a hand width groups at 40 and 60

    The hoyt isnt $2000 it’s more like 700 to 900 not a big deal just saying

    • @SoFloAdventures
      @SoFloAdventures  2 місяці тому +2

      The $2000 was calculated from all
      add-ons plus the cost of the bow but the base bow did cost around that price point.

      Bought one when I was first getting into archery. Was $700 bare bow. Right around $1500 fully set up. Now I got a Mathew’s Lift that was $1400 bare bow and $3500 fully set up. 😅

      Right on, the Torrex base is base 799 and the Hoyt Torrex XT is 999 base.

      I have the Hoyt alpha x 30 this year with that was 1399 for 80lbs has 3800 in it already! Man I started out with a 600 quest bow! You have to start some where and nthn wrong with that!

    Lose the chest pack man. It's a fad that gets in the way especially when hunting in a stand. Bow hunting has become a fashion show 🤣

    • @SoFloAdventures
      @SoFloAdventures  Місяць тому +1

      I dont hunt in a stand and never will, im a stalker for antelepe, deer, and elk so I do need a chest pack, I think i would rather have that on me than my binos, range finder, release in my pockets. As far as how it looks and a "fashion show" goes i couldnt care less hunting is a individual sport so if it works for you in a deer stand were your just sitting thats amazing and thats perfecvt but for me I dont just sit and wait I stalk which constitutes the need of a chest harness

    The problem with a 300$ bow is it has no tuning options..
    They are simply trash. Thats the truth...
    Now don't get me wrong.. for a kid or a beginner youth sure.
    Not everyone is rich.
    When you shoot a decent bow, its a completely different experience.
    100%

    • @SoFloAdventures
      @SoFloAdventures  2 місяці тому

      I wouldnt say trash they are so really good budget bows, being rich has nothing to do with what you shoot, Like me im no where near wealthy but through hard work I get to shoot a nice setup. For some people tunability isnt everything also you can tune budget bows. Ive done timing, paper tunes, and i have even shimmed the cams. But yes budget bows are more geared twoard beginners who are on the edge about dropping a few thousand on the sports.

      got a $500 bear legend xr, put a qad ultra rest, hha one pin sight, 12” redline stabalizer, shoot 5mm fmj arrows and I can shoot the same groups at 60 yards as my buddy with a $2400 hoyt alpha x setup. you don’t need these flag ship bows to shoot well. I’ve shot 3 bucks with it so far and dropped every one in there tracks

    • @seanbagby449
      @seanbagby449 2 місяці тому

      if you search long enough you can find high quality bows for good price, in my opinion the bear legend xr is a high quality bow at a budget price point. Has hybrid cams and lots of tune ability. shoots very well comparing it to the flag ship bows which I have shot many of the hoyt and Matthew’s flag ship bows. cannot justify me spending $800 more for a bare bow
