It's important to say that you need clicr-r type pliers to remove the hoses. I didn't realise this and started with normal pliers and had to abandon the job until the clicr-r type arrived. Also when removing the clamp at the side of the coolant tank make sure you hold the top as shown in the video. I didn't realise the significance of this and the clamp sprung up and fell into the engine bay somewhere. I've had to order another it's only £2 but it has to come from Germany so it's going to take a week or so 🙂. Thanks for the video.
My car has no sensor.... apparently anyway. Is that normal. I felt underneath and couldn't feel anything. Why wouldn't my car have one? Not sure what bottle to buy now mate?😊
ive a 10 plate insignia All summer long it cuts out Drives horribly engine idles high cuts out on motorway at 120 dead. Then from october to april it drives perfectly. Have left in into mechanics and they think im mad. But 3 years in a row same problem. Anyone else have similar problems?
Yup! Just getting problems now. Pain in the arse. Water is draining now so prob a leak somewhere. Temp is sky high. Air conditioning pump went ages ago didn't replace, and oil leak somewhere. On it's arse but totally feel your pain re your comment as experienced it

I use mole grips to take mine off it does the job
I've changed a few of these. Even main dealer ones are quite cheap as they know its a problem across their range of vehicles
Ho do you catch the coolant when you disconnect the lower hose? Or not bother catching it and just let it pour out?
Thanks
Great video. How much ew coolant should you replace in the tank assuming it wad full before
Well done again ..very clever
