- Heyy guys, here's a little video of one of my moonboard sessions I filmed a while back. I don't moonboard very often and struggle quite a bit on the harder problems but think that I will be doing more of it from now on !
Hope you enjoy the vid !
12:57 also the one I set!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 so good to see you climb them!
Yaaass such fun boulders !!
Man hope to see you post again! Are you still follow the routine you shared(10x10 pull ups..)?
I face planted on that one 👍🏼
Also, your climbs over 7b+ are impossible. You're too strong
@HoseokClimb absolute legend
just started moonboarding... it is humbling haha
Imagine something harder than regular climbing *_*
Yes, I started in January. I couldn’t do anything. On the 40 degree setup, the lowest grade available is 6a+.
It took me three weeks to get one done.
Now in august I’m working 6bs.
I recently went back to the start and tried all those 6a+s. Most of them were easy. Still some stopper moves though.
Have you tried Chaos? It’s desperately!
Keep it up Sofya you are doing great!! So excited to see you grow on youtube and start making collabs with other climbers/youtubers. Also would be sick to see you one day compete at the olympics. All my support from Spain.
Thank youuu!!
Bouncing Around is no joke it's absolutely nails and you made it look cruisey as hell. I couldn't get close on that middle move to J13 seeing you smash it out so quickly makes me want to go back and try get strong though
10:10 my boulder!!👍🏻👍🏻
You should start working through all of the benchmarks! It is strangely addicting and it really helps build a solid Moonboard base. I also don't think I've ever seen a cleaner Moonboard before. I'm very jealous.
Same but then again I understand why no one wants to use a 2017 set 🤠
The plan is to go through all the benchmarks ! But yeah, this set isn’t the beeest ahah
@@QuinnValetine what? I love this setup!
Yeah I built a moonboard at home in lockdown and it looks like it's seen more use than that board!
Yaaasssssss....
Also, the fact that you are finishing warm-up with a V5 boulder, that I really struggle with, really gives me an idea of how strong you are. Therefore Yasss af
I don’t have to choose boulders which target my weaknesses on the Moonboard!
I’m weak on everything on that 40 degree monster.
Beginning moonboard training. Thanks for the vid!!
Monnboard sessions are always good :)) I really look forward for more moonboard sess videos from you in the future.
YES.
I love your mental toughness!!
The boulder when u switched to 7b was the one which injured my tendon while holding the pocket with the left hand and doing the crossover with the right one. Awesome video :)
Ah shiit… hope it’s all better now or gets better soon!
Love your style and energy! Found you via Eric and I am glad I did 😁
Nothin better than doing a limit moonboard prob. Love to see you moon next week ;)
Hell yeah moonboarding vid! 😁😁😁
Nice video Sofya, looking strong
great mooning session! :-)
Ohh makin the 2017 set look fun.
Wdym it’s the best set
Hello from France , I see Anton video, nice moonboard session 👍
Love this video! Just chill and climb allez!
Funny, I decided to climb more on moonboard just two days ago. These boulders are so hard for me. Reachy moves on 40 degrees wall, something I need to work on!
Amazing! You are very athletic.
How to be strong 101 with Yokoyama
This is impressive
2:23 chalk smiley faceeee
Is there a way you can share the boulders you climbed on the Moon app ? Like some kind of playlist for us to play with and acknowledge how stronger you are than us mere mortals haha
Hmm I’m not sure, I’ll have a look and see if I can !
👍
Moonboard is sandbagged to infinity, it’s obscene how hard the routes are relative to the grading, a “6A+” is often two grades higher
If you get used to it then when you jump on normal walls it will feel two grades lower 🤷🏻♂️
@@captainshnockleyou3537 That for me has been the biggest benefit so far... I will say it does require a lot of strength though
Great video ! Btw what's your bike in the car ? :D
It’s a BMC road bike !
Cool moonboard!
Sorry for the late cool comment, just came back from Fontainebleau
Hope you had fun 💪🏼💪🏼
@@sofya_yokoyama thanks! It was incredibly fun and I sent my first outdoor 7b 😎
Cool vid. Would be good if you varied the music though.
instant like !
Which version of the Moonboard is this? I probably can't do a single move in this video but it would be fun to try the problems!
This is the 2017 set.
The best set
@@MrMJeezee the 40 degree version.
idk how you can do so many in a day.. just a few is enough to make my finger joints swollen and decrease my range of motion
How many times a week do you recommend to bouldering?
im currently climbing 6b/6c
I guess it also depends on how long you’ve been climbing for and how well your body handles a climbing session. But I think climbing every other day is always good (one day climbing, one rest day, one day climbing, one rest day, etc) !
you planning a trip to london anytime soon?
You rly said mooning.... I'm dead...
Sick have done all the boulders you climbed but isn't matching holds forbidden?
Nope, you can match
Ahaa this time without the watch, it's a matter of grams.
How long do you generally rest between attempts?
It depends on how I feel. If it’s a kind of project that I know I can make, I rest a good 3-5 min. Otherwise a bit less.
@@sofya_yokoyama You don't feel like you're getting pumped super quickly or anything? I'm just trying to determine the best ways to reduce the forearm pump I usually get early in the session. If it's a rest thing, or an experience level thing.
Oh no I definitely do get pumped! And it usually happens when I try too many boulders too fast. I do think that resting more helps a lot !
@@Bestjamesbond you don’t get “pumped” on a Moonboard. You are never on it long enough. You power out.
That is exhaust the ATP, and the energy demand is so high that it’s replaced using anaerobic glycolysis. Even this can’t keep up, so you fall before too much lactate builds up.
But yeah, long rests are in order when going max like this. 3 to five minutes.
Argh! That final match on A18 is impossible!
pretty long session!!
:)

Imagine moonboarding alone with a mask. only in europe lmao
Its kinda weird to see. We dont use masks anywhere in Scandinavia. Not unless you want to of course. Guess the other countries use stricter policies still.
@@Bjorn_R Here in Germany, mask mandates are everywhere. People are looking weirded out at you for not wearing one. Well.. I guess our history approves our obedience. But that's a bit much discussion for a climbing video I suppose. Sorry for that Sofya ^^
I dont know if this gym has its own and stricter ruleset or Sofya is not actually training at home, but Switzerland actually doesn‘t require you to wear a mask anymore while climbing. However, it is obviously not forbidden to wear one ;)
@@superiorgazellusmaximus3906 oh no! Not the tyrannical masks!
You’re antisocial. Keep away from humans.
