  • Today I decided to spice up our day of training and sub out our spray wall session for a Kilter board session! I’m still pretty new to the KB but I’ve been having a lot of fun getting used to it and I think I might start training on it more! I also decided to do our campus session on the wood board they have up at Studio Bloc and managed to get an epic last minute send…

Def would love to see you more on the Moonboard, but yeah you should definitely do what psyches you and what feel useful to your training

LOVE the detailed breakdown and voice-over. Super informative and very interesting. Also happy to see a fellow Canadian crushing it! Personally unless a boulder specifically says no matching or heel/toe hook I think they are always legit. No point in completely neglecting really good techniques because some rando might think it's "not legit". All techniques are legit unless otherwise specified!

They still allow to change the angle, but somethings wrong with the motor and it needs to get checked, which still has not happened (hard to get someone or sth), at least thats what they told me the last time i asked.

Where do you feel that pain in your wrist that you described this session? Have you tried osteopathy and/or progressive overloading with wrist exercises yet?

I feel it on the outside of my hand- running down from my pinky finger through the palm.
I’ve had my physiotherapist work on it for a while now and we’ve able to lessen the pain a bit, but it has never gone away fully :/

@@richardsonsclimbing I have had great success with my Ulnar wrist pain doing sideway wrist curls where you hold the weight and bend your wrist straight to the side like you're trying to touch your pinky knuckle to the side of your arm. It helped almost right away with giving me a little bit more pain-free range of motion. @Upright Health has a video on it called Fix (Outer) Ulnar Wrist Pain. After a few weeks I was able to start doing extremely low weighted wrist twists as well. Now after about 1.5 months the pain is about 70% gone and I only feel it when I significantly weight my hand my wrist is supinated (basically undercling position). These exercises both work best with something that has the heavy part of the weight away from you like an empty loading pin that you can slowly add weight to as it gets stronger.
